I just watched the Oshea interview.
Yup, he knew what he was doing. He couldnt believe how an official 30 yards away could overrule an official that was close to the play that called it a catch.
OShea just wanted to prove the official was wrong.

I just saw a stat on TSN that Wilson's 13 catches were the second most in Bombers history in one game

The contrast of Osh challenging a play that lost us yards, while also having the awareness and the guts to go for that 2 points is pretty crazy.

HH to TSN for having absolutely no idea why Winnipeg went for two. Right on brand.

Granted, I despise Rod Smith and Dustin Neilson as announcers. I think Ferguson is the best PBP guy out of the 3 on TSN by a country mile. 

His knowledge of the game and players is top notch. His delivery is a bit drier, in a good way. It’s refreshing to have a pbp announcer who isn’t a highlight desk guy out of his element  (Smith) or shrieking like an 8 year old (Nielson- the worst in my lifetime imo and that’s including Rod Black) 
they’re kind of doing regional announce teams now. It’s usually Nielson and Suitor  for the west games and Marshall and Forde out east. They give Rod Smith the showcase game still. 
 
DT is miles better than Smith or Nielson, and more polished than Ferguson. I’m surprised he wasn’t offered a job already.  

It’s a shame Cuthbert wanted to do hockey so badly. I’m sure if TSN had NHL games, we’d still have CC doing the Grey cup game at a minimum. 

Next year DT probably replaces Smith if he wants to. In a perfect world they hire DT, retire Smith, put Nielson on sportscenter where he can yell his little catchphrase and just have 2 main announce teams.
DT/Lapo, Ferguson/Forde. Use Rod Smith sparingly with Matty or Davis Sanchez if he’d do it.
No more Suitor, no more Neilson.

Easily. Kramdhi isnt a starter, certainly not on any other teams, Wilson looks pedestrian, and dont get me started on Bighill. He essentially does one of the following on virtually every play: misses a tackle. drops 5 yards off the line of scrimmage in the middle of the field and is inevitably in the chase position 3 yards behind any crossing receivers. blitzes and gets zero penetration. gets washed out on running plays.

Been said before but our linebackers are bad. Perhaps the worst in the CFL.

As much as I wanted to see a win, another loss maybe sounds the alarm that changes need to be made and that we’re not good enough. Time to make some roster changes, season isn’t over yet but enough of this country club bull **** already. 

I for one would like to see "Hawk" Tui Eli get in the starting lineup.

Cant wait for this lost dogshit of a season to end so all the piss-poor roster management, lack of depth, old cooked players, and garbage play calling can be glazed over and forgotten due to the injury excuse.

We might never know the nature of the power balance between wade walters and mos. Any way you cut it though, I don't think walters could've done much with mos prior to this year. He had all the leverage. That should be changing now. Time will tell if they are all in the boat together, or if mos has been rowing them down towards the rapids. 
 
100%. Falling into a generationally good team has people forgetting that roster management, amongst other things, has always been an issue. If any thing, I think Mos has regressed as a HC from the days before zach. He had a big impact early on with our teams being consistently the best punt/kick and cover unit in the league, and in the mid season overhaul of halls D as well. We went from a team that couldnt win, to a team that won with some cloak n dagger stuff, to a team where the D expected to carry us to wins and where ever time the ball was kicked we gained considerable field position. 
 People forget that in the matt nichols era, we had the best 3 job kicker in league history. Medlock was years ahead of the curve in punting, and for most of his career the most accurate kicker in league history. 50 yard fg into the wind? automatic. Need 7 fgs to win? No problem. Our D, shattered records for forced turn overs for 3 ish years. We scored with insane regularity on D, and our O played on half a field for the most part. That team was built to grind down the clock on O, with teams yielding insane amounts of yardage, while the D won the game. 
Then all of a sudden you add a QB who can hit tight windows down field and loved to take deep shots, which aided in developing guys like lawler and schoen, and a D that still expected to have to win the game them self. The biggest battle we saw for a couple years in bomber games wasn't our team vs another, it was our O vs our D to see who would carry the day. But the D quickly took a back seat to the high scoring offence, and then the O now expected to carry the load suffered from loses and age. 
 
Mos was atleast aggressive and coached to win prior to the GCs, even if plop and hall were passive in play styles. Mos doesn't produce a good roster and make the most of his assets, and hasn't in a single game in ages. He doesn't have his team chomping at the bit and ready to go at kick off. The culture has become one that is content even in defeat. 

Yup, key word some. Bake some prospects in the AHL while swinging with others.
This does not need to be an either or situation (i.e., make sure they are fully baked in the AHL or take a swing and see what they got at the NHL level).
It can be a blend of both.

So my almost 3 year old heard me talking to her Grandpa about the game on the phone this morning. 

“What is punter dad?”
“Something bad that the Blue Bombers have. They’ve got a bad punter. He’s the man that kicks the football the way I showed you. It’s called a punter, and he’s a bad punter”
”Oh, Bluebommers have a bad punter” 
”Yes sweetie, that’s right. Your Gramdfather is probably a better one, and he’s 70”
”And Mommy is better punter than bluebombers?” 
”Yes, That’s probably right too” 
“And Jenny (our collie cross) is better punter than Bluebombers?”
It went on for about a half hour, with literally every name she knows.

Honestly the punt at the end is a perfect analogy for Osh's biggest flaw: putting his faith in people that don't deserve it. In this case the D. I really believe in his heart of hearts he believed they would step up and make a stop, when all evidence pointed to it being an impossibility. He is blinded by trust.

I absolutely detest when I see biggie go up the middle on a blitz, running right at the lineman with no disguise. I know gap coverage or something like that blah blah blah

Bighill, Alexander, and Thomas are cooked. Everyone saw it coming. Everyone except O'Shea. That will be his downfall. Wayyyyyy too loyal to his vets.

At this point I just feel sad for BA... I absolutely loved that guy in his prime. He's roasted and toasted. 

I talked a bit about it with Ed Tait after the game and he basically told me I was an idiot and I need to wait and see. Politely and respectfully, but the belief seems to be that this will be turned around just because.
