I think the biggest playoff problem at qb has simply been Zach has by and large sucked in the big games.

Players play better we win the last 3 Grey Cups. Who we rostered in those games, with the exception of 2023 GC, to some extent, was not the reason we lost those games. In each and everyone of our last 3 Grey Cups we are 3-4 bad plays and a QB injury away from winning all of them. I guess my point is that if anyone thinks that the decision to keep Fatboi on the roster makes much of a difference in the grand scheme than they are letting the players off the hook if we lose.
In limited reps he does not hurt us at all. Last year he got thrown into the fray due to injuries to others and it is unfair to paint that as a coaching error. It's like saying MOS is stupid for starting Strev this week over Zac because Zac is better. The better players is not available. If Lawson is healthy last year we aren't even talking about JT right now.

and with two DE's over 30...you dont wanna run them out every snap....so why not having a true end to compliment them is just stupid...Sure Adams can do it...but he isnt a legit end and takes away from what he can do inside...and If I see JT on the end again I will literally go on the feild and personally take him out...so you'all will enjoy that site hahaha
we can be very effective in a lot of 30 fronts with a combination of WJ....JV....Lawson....Adams......Woods and Person if they got rostered in various set ups...not with Thomas or god forbis Korn in place of any one of them...I sure we will see it tho...and they will be washed away or just ran right past

Maybe I am overreacting, but seeing what is arguably a worse starting roster than last year, in a Grey Cup year, is super disappointing. I will probably eat my words when we stomp the Farhan's tomorrow, but man the wind is out of my sails right now.

I watched him play a lot in RSEQ. 3rd round was a bit high, but he was also very productive in the RSEQ. Real clutch WR with great hands and could catch in traffic. But, he wasn't a big play game breaker like Kevin Mital was. Still, I'm surprised he wasn't a rotational WR in the CFL. Maybe he could have been on the Redblacks, but he's moved on. Good for him. 

Murphy was an odd pick imo. Didn't play special teams at all, didn't really have any tangibles that set him apart as far as I'm aware. Always thought it was an odd pick, especially in the 3rd round. oh well, good luck to him in his future endeavors. 

He had some potential that went unrealized....but yea...kind of a bit of a flyer in the 3rd round. Probably a 6th round talent really.

I'd expect to get 3-4 guys who can play this year.  The OL group is probably the deepest since 2019.  Talking about guys who will end up in the CFL.  There's a **** load of good edge/3 technique guys for DL.  Including the BYU guy who has potential to drop into a spot where he'd be a real steal based on how he's turned off the personnel guys in both leagues.  There's a ton of very good DB's.  There's a solid receiver group, although some guys in both receiver/DB group might get a good look in the NFL.
I kind of wonder what other teams are prioritizing.  There's a chance for the Bombers in the first round, remembering BC's pick is off the board and added back to the end of the 1st round to Calgary, to grab a real impactful DL, a OL who could play this year, or a starting receiver IMO.  Like if I'm Walters and our pick comes around, Ethan Jordan still on the board, don't think I could pass on him.  That guy is a star.

Maybe I watched different games last year but I thought the O was pretty lacklustre and disappointing for the amount of money they allocated to the O. Lots of games couldn’t put up 20 points so to see change on the O side of things (woli lawler Dobson) isn’t that surprising. I actually expected it. You can’t bring the same guys back who stunk it up most games last year. I mean believe Calgary was the only team who put up less points on O than we did. Change was inevitable. D was good. It’s just not your regular cfl D ppl are used to but our D was strong last year. We allowed the least amount of points. So all of these changes. They make sense.  Lawler been chasing the $$$ his whole career. 275k is a significant overpay.  I liked the guy but man he’s like OBJ right now. Reputation built on a couple ridiculous catches but take those away and he’s just average or even less than average honestly.

Dude is washed up and dry cleaned tho. I mean what is the point. Easily replaceable and not even good. I don’t get this one. I can justify the Wilson and Gauthier one but this is just mind boggling. 

Doesn't make me mad (as Mike said)... but just really makes shakes my head.... I do not understand for the life of me what they see in him at this point in his career.... the team was ready to move from him when he was like 28... then he had a few good rotational seasons in him... and he's been just a waste of space for the past 2-3 seasons... I don't get it.... can't convince me a rotation of Lawson and Samson wouldn't be a significant improvement?

Ya... Listen... I defend our management to the death.... But I can't defend this. It's inexcusable. Even if you say that Lawson is going to take the bulk of the reps or whatever....what's the point of even bringing him to camp at this point? It's a waste of roster spot and if there was even a penny of guaranteed money, then it's a waste.
