  1. Another example of undisciplined Riders players doing something dangerous and unsportsmanlike. That whole organization is an embarrassment to the entire league. It’s too bad because they actually have some talent. Unfortunately they have a terrible culture and no leadership.
  2. Chalk it up to getting a big crowd including a lot of fair weather fans. I hate that they always try to start a wave when we are on offence too. Thankfully it didn’t go anywhere tonight. It was nice seeing almost 30,000 people out tonight though. The stadium was rocking, especially on that last drive by Calgary.
  3. It feels like the league is looking to not get embarrassed by having another appeal go against them with this ruling. This feels like the maximum punishment they could dole out that is 99% sure to stick. Edit: For my part I would have liked to see it be much longer.
  4. He seemed to have trouble with the physicality of Rhymes not his speed. I feel like he might match up a bit better against Henry but it will still be a tall order.
  5. Calgary has won a lot of ugly games against bad teams but we were the same until our victory yesterday. I like our chances at home but we can’t sleep on these guys.
  6. That’s awfully specific, lol. Let’s add 226 yards of punt returns including one for a TD for Grant while we are at it.
  7. The difference so far this year has been an offense that doesn't chew up clock and throw up a lot of points to help the defense like it did last year. They'll need to play a bit better on Saturday for us to have a chance.
  8. Agreed on the uniforms. Those bottoms look a lot better than the ones we had at home with our white tops last week.
  9. Rourke looks like the real deal. It's great to see another quality QB in the league, especially one so young.
  10. The special guests have been cool but I've missed you on the show. I hope you are doing well Zach.
  11. Maybe Jones wanted to convert him to punt returner and he refused?
  12. This place is going to be ridiculous when we lose a game or two (which is going to happen in an 18 game season). I guess its a good sign though of how far we've come in the last 5 years when fans are complaining that our wins weren't quite dominant enough for them to be satisfied.
  13. Mike Jones is a fantastic DB and I wish we had found a way to keep him. I loved the way he brought the hammer down on receivers catching the ball on short passes in front of him and he always seemed to be in position to contest the longer stuff. Doug Brown was very critical of the call on the postgame.
  14. I'll admit that I was a bit nervous about the defense after the first game but I shouldn't have doubted. They look great! Rutledge has been a fantastic find and I agree that Thompson seems to be improving every game. In general the way that the D gets stronger as the game goes and just wears the other team out is a thing of beauty. By the second half they become absolutely lights out.
  15. This game has been so much fun to watch!
  16. Miller was awful and probably cost us our early season game against Toronto with his poor play. Houston on the other hand seemed fine whenever he went in.
  17. You and I will be in the minority but I agree. Other than BC in their one game, no team has looked dominant. Instead we are getting close exciting games that feel like contests and come down to the wire, The only knock I’ll make is towards the terrible state of kicking across the league and that one abortion of a game yesterday with the Riders showing the maturity of 2 year olds. That was just embarrassing.
  18. Craig Dickinson has no control of his team.
  19. Edmonton probably but who else in the West looks like a basement dweller?
  20. I’ll be wearing Royal Blue to the game. This “whiteout” idea is stupid.
  21. Putting both sides of the argument aside I think we can all agree that if nothing else penalties should be consistently called one way or another.
  22. From what I read it was mostly that he propped up Edmonton as having more to do. To me that isn’t necessarily a put down of Winnipeg and more that he was embracing his new team’s city in the media. Unless there was more than that I think it was just Manitobans being sensitive.
