Greg Carr what a flash in the pan he was

Makes me sad in the current-age CFL you don't see more QB tandems. With how expensive the position is, it just usually isn't economically feasible. If you're routinely switching QBs (and it isn't for short-yardage sneaks) - you're probably doing something wrong. The only other honorable mention you could make today would be Evans / Masoli, - but I don't think that really counts - they wouldn't game plan to play both of them, just if one stunk it up, the other would sub in.

As far as I can tell this was also Bobby Fritz. Fun fact he was a player and our head coach at the same time

Question RE new 2 QB rule; if Matt Nichols laterals to Dominique Davis who then throws a pick 6 is it just an INT for Davis, or both? Asking for a friend. -
Ploen also (according to the Canadian Football Hall of Fame) holds the record for fewest interceptions thrown in a single season (1962 - 4). They're both well-respected, but there's absolutely no Brock is even comparable. Obviously the team around them has something to do with it, but really good players just have that "it" factor that rallies the team pushes them over the hump. Ploen had "it", Brock, well, not so much. Also Brock dumped on our city so he can go fly a kite in my book.

Make rouges worth 2, but only if the the total time left on the play clock on seconds is a prime number when the play is ruled dead. -

Lol tuned in halfway through the 3rd thinking the Jets had blown their 3-0 lead only to be pleasantly surprised the Avs had actually just scored their 5th, followed shortly by their sixth...

Collins would be nice but I just hope we sign Janarion Grant. He is way more impactful than Collins and has more upside -

Tbh the team publicly acknowledged the DUI and gave Lawler a team imposed 1 game suspension voluntarily. This was a lot more than most teams would do. If I recall correctly, as a team the Bombers hadn't locked up first place at the time either. Compare it to some of the other offenses by players, who wouldnt even admit wrongdoing, and would appeal the suspension (Simoni Lawrence 2 game suspension for a dangerous hit on Collaros comes to mind) As for Harris - same thing... They had him serve his suspension, even though he ended up missing the critical back to back with SSK at the time. Though, this was a bit less up to Bomber brass, as I dont think you cam appeal a suspension for banned substance in the CFL. Both situations sucked, but really the only thing more drastic they could have done would have been to cut ties with either player, which, at the time, probably would have been detrimental to the teams product on the field. I am not saying that it right, just that that is how the sports business is. -

Yeah I guess if there is a silver lining to his departure, Bombers dont have to deal with that PR nightmare going forward. -
Stumbled upon this earlier today, I know others on here have been asking for it. Mods feel free to move this as you see fit if it does not warrant its own thread.

I did this with my Odell Willis jersey, got it for Christmas the year they went to the cup (2011) he then got a DUI and signed elsewhere the immesiate next season. Had it restitched to a player that'd never get traded - Kenny Ploen.

Of a similar vein, dont ever represent yourself in a court of law. Thanks for all the years Harris, too bad you couldn't have made it work. -

It's all part of his ploy to cheat the 'Riders out of a $600,000 up front signing bonus. -

Regardless what Harris does, he'll end up retiring a Bomber. His best years were here. If he does play out his last few years somewhere else, I dont blame him for a second. Dude has bills to pay and a family to feed. Hope they can find a way to retain him without breaking the bank, but even last year he was absent for alot of games. -

If that was the case I'd be questioning the coaching staff even more... in that situation, is a receiver with a busted up hand really your best chance to win the game? I get Whitehead wanting to go in - but unless they understated his injury or something - I'd be putting someone else in there. The guy has heart, no doubt - but sometimes you just have to go with the backup in my opinion. All that said though - I stand corrected, and thanks for the info. -

I get that BC is gonna load up the $$$ cannon for Lawler, but I think nothing shows better how BC treats their receivers like throwing Whitehead to the wolves and having him play against us with a busted up arm/hand when we played them in BC. Sometimes actions speak louder than words (or money).
