I don’t think he’s even shown up in Winnipeg. Assuming he is under contract that would be grounds for suspension.
Aaaaaand I get “trumped” again.

Wow. First Republican to go grow a spine and stand up for the country.
Good on him.
Will be interesting to see the fallout from this. Nice to finally see a GOP member of congress put Country before party.

Gaiter/Fenner is great competition. Last year Gaiter came out on top.

My darkhorse for the open receiver spot is Garrett Johnson. He has the characteristics of a speedy possession type receiver and has great credentials coming from the University of Kentucky.
Hoping to get out and watch some football Sunday or Monday and I'll be watching the receivers and defensive backs closest... some interesting battles there. Lots of people penciling Humes and Rose in at the cornerback spots but I also wouldn't be surprised if we saw at least one raw rookie taking a spot there.
Exciting times, football is back...

If the game is won in the trenches then I love the way they have built this roster.

(2019 Main Training Camp
Can’t remember a start to a main training camp where, even though we have openings at several spots (7?), we seem to have prepared to fill those spots with quality players and good prospects.
Highlights coming into camp are the signings of Willie Jefferson and most certainly Chris Mathews. Not to mention the signing of all our draft choices, some of whom could be dynamic.
We got bigger and better at receiver prospects.
We’ve stacked the defensive line to make it easier for Bighill.
We’ve added defensive backs and linebackers to fill any perceived shortcomings.
Little by little, day by day, shortcomings will be noticed and those players will fall by the wayside.
It’s training camp and the veterans will teach the newbies..in more than one way.
Today, medicals and film room. Good luck to all. Let’s put out the best lineup we possibly can.

When the truth about the imbecile Trump is told, it's going to be worse than we already know.
This is what he spends his time thinking about.
I hope somebody sane has the guts to keep the nuclear codes away from this dimwitt.

Thanks. Pat Buchanan just wrote a column on this. He has been a constant critic of US policy in the middle east. Anti interventionist. Ditto Eric Margolis

Iran thing isn't about oil. It's about the desire to contain if not elimitate Iranian political influence in the region it has through Shia islam.
Unintended consequence of Iraq war was the rise of Shia influence in post war Iraq. Hezbollah ( Shia) presence and influence in South Lebanon has long been a thorn in the side of Israel. Hezbollah is primarily financed and armed by Iran.
US/Israel has long resented Syrian influence in N.Lebanon. They tacitly support Hezbollah in the south as a buffer vs Israel.
For the past 50 years the US/Israel policy has either bought off or flattenend the leading Arab nations. Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Arab N. Africa are all on board.
Syria and Iran (not Arab but influential as previously mentioned ) are the lone holdouts.
Since the Iranian revolution all US administrations have wanted Iran neutered to varying degrees. For example Obama tried to buy them off with nuclear technology. Reagan tried to kill them off by arming Iraq. Israel uses assassination of scientific and military leaders.
The real passionate Iran haters were in the Bush 2 administration some of which like Bolton have wormed their way into the Trump orbit.

Wanna-B-Fanboy reacted to TBURGESS in Rookie Camp Discussion
This years team is very different than last years team.
We've drafted pretty well since Walters took over, getting 3 all stars in 5 years. We lost all of them in the off season.
We've replaced 2 NI all star OL with guys who have a start or two under their belt or are rookies.
We lost our WIL and our shutdown corner.
We lost our all star safety who we are replacing with a guy who didn't win the spot out of TC last year as he got hurt in game 3 having not played safety at all. He is coming off of a big injury and is currently on the vet injured list.
We lost some veteran backups like Wild, Leggett and Fogg.
We're making a bunch of changes at DB.
We only made 2 known upgrades.
We're counting on our QB getting back to his 2017 form, that the guys who have been around the club for a while are now good enough to be starters and that this years draft will net a starter this year.

Wanna-B-Fanboy reacted to Noeller in Rookie Camp Discussion
I dunno, I have never at any point been concerned about our OL going into this season. If Couture isn't ready to start, they never would have kept him around this long. I also think Cody Speller is a lot better than people realize. I think Geoff Gray is extremely talented and has the potential to start at RG right now, and if he's not ready, Manase Foketi definitely is.
I have absolute 100% faith in Walters/Lapo ability to protect the QB because they haven't given me a reason not to trust them in at least 4 years...

looks like the US media is on board for an attack on Iran. Heard on the radio last night, about how this was needed. Now CNN.
Rating bump.
USA is by far the biggest threat to world peace.

I thought so too at first. Then I looked at some more recent pictures of him and he has that Bruce Wayne look to him. If he gets buffed up as well he'll probably look good.
Although it is the DCEU so....you never know. Hit and miss with them.

What's crazy... is the fact the sanctions on Russian oligarch Oleg V. Deripaska were lifted this year.
The Owner of Rusal, the Russian aluminium Company.
The same company that is pumping in +$200 million into... the great state of Kentucky.
Guess who voted to lift sanctions on the Russian Oligarch? Kentucky’s senators, Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul. Gee.... what the ****... they aren't even trying to hide this corruption.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) confronted a CEO Thursday for pricing a drug designed to reduce the risk of HIV transmission at $8 in Australia but over $1,500 in the U.S.
"You're the CEO of Gilead. Is it true that Gilead made $3 billion in profits from Truvada in 2018?" Ocasio-Cortez asked Gilead CEO Daniel O'Day.
"$3 billion in revenue," he clarified.
"The current list price is $2,000 a month in the United States, correct?" she asked, referring to Truvada.
"It's $1,780 in the United States," O'Day responded.
"Why is it $8 in Australia?" Ocasio-Cortez countered.
"Truvada still has patent protection in the United States and in the rest of the world it is generic," O'Day explained.
"I think it's important here that we notice that we the public, we the people, developed this drug. We paid for this drug, we lead and developed all the patents to create Prep and then that patent has been privatized despite the fact that the patent is owned by the public, who refused to enforce it," Ocasio-Cortez said.
