I think the fact that CK is in Toronto and will be at Training Camp in Pinball's words "because the league says he could" is a real bad look for the Argos. If he can't play for a minimum of 9 weeks, IF he does the assigned tasks and is approved by a third party he shouldn't be around the team until he has at least begun this work. I did not get the sense from Pinball that he gets it, mostly that he's trying to toe a very fine line with the league but really is trying to protect his guys. Maybe more than ever I think he and Murphy as a minimum need to go.

The way it's laid out in the CBA says: For 2024 the "Salary Expenditure Cap" is $5,525,000. Then the "Non-Football Related Services minimum additional amount" is $110,000 for a "Total Salary Expenditure Cap" of $5,635,000. $110K is the number for this year and is the minimum per year going forward if league revenue doesn't increase (the table in Article 30 lays out the cap through 2028 season). If league revenue does increase, the amount available to players for promotion/outreach would also increase. To me it reads like 'You have to pay your players exactly $110k on promotion and outreach and you need to be able to prove guys are working for it.'

outside of his ability to get hyped. No one will remember he was on the team in 2 years. it might not be "cashing in" per say...just getting market value or what you think is market value. Having taken cuts to make it work in the past could be a reason for him not doing it this time..."Hey listen, I've helped out multiple times in the past now, I'm not doing it this time." type of thing. All speculation of course.

Yea...I mean Bluto did victim blame but I think it was more he hoped and prayed the victim was lying, and it came out all wrong. We now know for certain based on Pinball's comments that Kelly ain't a victim of a smear campaign. I am sure Bluto will do the right thing now.

Yeah last two years camp and pre season seemed like a foregone conclusion before they even started. I expect a real battle this year. Probably a few fisticuffs.

I’m more excited for camp pre season and the regular season than I was the last two years, just because of the optimism about this. I think the mafia has learned how far loyalty should extend and when to cut it off. The raptors just rode championship loyalty into the toilet. We haven’t adapted as fast as the stamps did, but I think we got there.

I see validity in both your points. Thinking back to what it was to be a bomber fan in the past two dark ages this would be crushing. Even with that I and many others defended Harris during his ped positive test not long ago. (His claim was very valid but we never did hear about his independent testing of the allegedly tainted supplement) with that said, the whole victim blaming culture is such a big toxic issue in society right now, the regressive attitudes are much worse on this. Not to mention the victim suffered directly, Harris either way didn’t victimize people. Some of the defences and devils advocate positions has come off really gross with Kelly. Guilt or not, just some real ick factor stuff. I hope all this in the end helps some of those people to see the importance of protecting alleged victims and treating them appropriately. Some times good people get wrapped up on the wrong side of disputes. It’s certainly happened to me in the past. I still think bluto is good people and a good poster.

Losing Bailey is probably going to hurt the most. Just a true heart and soul guy who plays with such a physicality that will be hard to match by any of the new receivers. If we had enough promotion money to get close to what he is worth I'm sure we would have done it.

I assume they still have a budget they want to work within so it's not just a matter of being able to take advantage of the promo money loophole. We have the highest paid QB & RB as well as the 2nd, 3rd & 4th highest paid receivers with multiple guys already getting promo money so they are using it, just not on a returner.

That’s soo odd right after the team and Kelly denied any wrong doing. You know that’s why they marched good ole pinball out to deliver the message. This only pushes home that the league needs to come down swiftly and harshly on the Argo’s brass.

I think with JJ it was a bit of both...youth and reliability....I truly think we let Yosh walk soley on declinig play, and we need to be better...many times age with your oline guys is a net positive...not there tho I looked into who we brought in a bit more...Liking Coleman as a guywho could be one of our fresh faced starters....and not bein a true rookie in the sense also bodes well...
