Last years start and first 1/3 was brutal.

Fun fact at this point last year I was considering slitting my wrists...lol...jk but man the start last year was awful. Glad we got it together finally.
-
Weitz to the PR probably same kind of stupid move they pulled with Sheahan. I doubt it means anything.

Around the NHL 2024-25

we also had an extremely rich dude as a partner too, which helped. -
Money doesn't appear to be a motivating factor for him. He could have made more elsewhere but he said all he needed was a fair deal from the Elks and it didn't really matter what other teams were offering.
-
Bad contracts are not the millstone around the neck as they are in the NHL, NFL, MLB and NBA. That excuse is good for only one year at most.
-
Agreed- Wallace took most of the first half to get settled in, but got better as the game progressed. If we cannot pressure the opposing quarterback, everything suffers.
-
I could go either way on vanterpool. Be nice to have him back, but I think we could use that roster flexibility else where too.
-
There are much busier and more dangerous intersections - should we block those off to pedestrians? People can get hit on any street if they and/or the drivers aren't being careful, Portage and Main is no exception and shouldn't be treated like one.
-
We can beat Calgary without BO. I like the idea of splitting reps or even just making BO the backup. Bring Vanterpool back on and let Peterson roll.
-
I believe the original plan called for a few of the skyscrapers having patios at the intersection. I couldn't imagine eating with all that noise and wind. I don't think the fatalities will increase, it won't be as bad as higgins/Logan and main where lots of messed up people attempt to cross the road.
-
Never a perfect schedule when a bunch of teams like Toronto are dead last in terms of scheduling importance at their own venue. we don’t need a perfect schedule. We need a reasonably competent one though. Where top divisional rivals season series isn’t wrapped up 3 weeks into the season. the gap in terms of excitement and entertainment value has closed dramatically in the past 10-15 years. While the talent level is plateaued, and coaching tapered off hard. Yep. I’d be good with a 50/50 split of touches for Brady and Peterson in the first week or two as well. Ease Brady back into it. Getting banged up early in the year can be really tough to bounce back from.
-
Just don't rush Brady back. Make sure he's 100% healthy.
-
How long till someone gets hit by a vehicle trying to cross Portage & Main? Being killed? That intersection when it's winter & minus 25 with a wind will be brutal to cross as a pedestrian. Those skyscrapers just make it a wind tunnel. Th only way it'll be broken up is if the police go in there & use necessary force they'll need to remove them. Trouble is, the campers will just move somewhere else.
-
We are too banged up right now. To many guys playing hurt and depth is ravaged. We didn’t use Cooley as much as I’d a liked and he showed really well. But if Brady is good to go, we need roster depth else where.
-
Well CLC was about 7 when we got the team
-
Well, I think just off hand that if Atlanta fails then there's Houston, Portland, Or, Kansas City, Oklahoma City & maybe Milwaukee or Cleveland in line before Quebec gets the Nordiques back. Bettman for some reaason just doesn't want Quebec despite their new 18,000 seat hockey arena which ain't so new anymore at 10 years of age. Just goes to show how lucky we were to get the Jets back when we did with a small arena. Bettman didn't stand in the way for us to get the Jets back despite all the negative crap he had to put up with from Winnipeg fans when the team went to Phoenix in 1996.

I just don’t understand the anti CFL dudes, guys love the NFL and that’s understandable but these same guys are watching NCAA on saturdays, where our players were all super stars or at the very least stars, the talent is great in the CFL, the reason these guys are misses have to do with either coming from smaller schools or they just don’t fit the height and weight criteria the NFL loves looking at. I’m a big NFL guy but I’d watch the Bombers over an NFL game any day of the week. -
Rigmaiden has been with BC since the start of 2021 in various roles, he's as responsible for player personnel as much as anyone in the Lions organization. Adding the GM role provides him the ability to choose his coaching staff.
-
Also the same owner that insisted Rourke play over Adams, which ultimately led to VAJ to Calgary and Campbell’s firing. VAJ and Coach Campbell hugging it out after they played this year tells me that Adam’s knows his demotion wasn’t a coaching decision.
