  1. Past hour
  2. Three of us heading to Langford for today's tilt between Lions & Stamps and to say hi to Buck. Wearing our Bombers gear, naturally https://www.timescolonist.com/sports/lions-ready-to-roar-in-cfl-preseason-game-at-starlight-stadium-10677687
  3. Yeah, I thought he might have to fight to win his spot. I found it unusual how many import OL we brought in this TC, so that must have been another indicator. Lofton not practising won't help him either.
  4. Today
  5. I wonder if they maybe make marner or even Tavares an offer if they make it to July 1. Marner here would be sick and Tavares is a 2 center still so I wonder. Lots of cap space. Eventually someone will sign here as a UFA. Why not now. Tavares actually speaks positively of Winnipeg they say. jets will sign 2 UFAs this year. Both initials are JT. All the JT’s are ours soon. And they will draft a winnipeg born center with their first rd pick. Hayden (Greek last name so not gonna attempt) Depending on Vilardis GFs feelings maybe we see some change we didn’t expect. Brock Boeser is a guy they have always liked going back to his UND days. Another guy who speaks fondly of Winnipeg who is UFA July 1 who actually fits a need.
  6. Anyone remember if they have bleechers? Thinking of heading down this morning with my son.
  7. Chris Wilson? IIRC, he and Brent Johnson were starting at DE.
  8. Not really bomber related, but last week I was in the US for work and something about football came up and someone was like Chris loves Canadian football. I said something about the bombers and he was like I won a grey cup in Winnipeg which was 2006 and the only grey cup I've gone to in person. He was playing for BC at the time.
  9. Exactly...it's not a need...and carrying 3 on the active roster...2 of which are not top tier...and don't help on ST is just a waste Use those 2 national spots on practical players who excel on teams and can take reps on offence or defence
  10. Made things slightly less painful...
  11. Would you call it a haircut you can set your watch to?
  12. Realistically, if Lawson was out we don’t need the ni dl starter. Full imp dl would be nasty too.
  13. Nope...not wrong at all And like Thomas...Schmeck...same scenario...just ******* any progression and transition as well as development of younger...better players another yr
  14. Lawson basically has had 1 real major injury Not that I don't like Jake..he just not good...or best option last few yrs and now serves zero purpose...zero upside..and just slows down any transition another yr...and vet leadership? ..we have tons so that "excuse/reasoning" holds zero validity as well
  15. Agree. I think Lofton is on the verge already of being passed by both vanterpool and Randolph. Those two side by side on the right would be great. Yeah and honestly his upside at this point is not far off ayers floor.
  16. As I said that's mine concern too. Wilson hasn't had a healthy season since 2019.
  17. Leafs lose 6 1. lol.
  18. In reading between the lines, it looks like Lofton may be in trouble. He was OK last year but not exceptional enough to warrant gifting him a spot. From the Tait description, it sounds like the overall talent is better than last year.
  19. He actually is fast as a dt, and he is not a pro nose. Hes a 3 tech here. He does have the punch move, bull rush or power to play nose.
  20. Myron Mitchell was a guy they liked out of camp last year too. Maybe he took a step, if he’s our best wr right now we are pooched. What’s more concerning to me is we are not cycling guys out and air lifting new ones in. Its a hard year for WRs in camp, with the system change and need to prep two starting QBs for week 2 and 3. From what I’ve seen none of the QBs are where I would’ve hoped and expected. It’s a hard camp for them too. New system, no Jackson in yet, bunch of changes on the ol/rec core. Week 1, lots of rust to shake off and new guys to gel with. If we are gonna start off better than last year, we need a better performance this coming week and a to see a little some thing out of the offence in pre season game 1.
  21. I like him- he is very quick but not fast. A good nose tackle. I noted that he has a marine-type shaved haircut, which would make him a short-haired Pointer. I'll show myself out.
  22. The biggest hurdle seems to be the way the Blues were allowed to play, in round one.
  23. Anyone know if the Bombers store is open holiday Monday? Might buy myself a birthday gift.
  24. That’s how I see it generally for starters. Though I will say tony jones does look improved this year so far. If he keeps it up he and Jonathon jones will be a battle. I wouldn’t di kyrie. They’ve been playing him at mac in camp this week, I think they might seriously consider that and cut a good young backer sadly. I wouldn’t di a wil/Mac this year.
