In that position, you should be able to continue to close and not need to dive as the defender. Extending grey areas instead of clarifying and intensifying rules. More ways to apply rules they won't understand or refuse to actually apply. Good in theory for player safety but we'll just see fewer flags or more excuses for why the rule doesn't apply. If there's no standard coming from the review booth, won't matter much.

If I’m being honest this playoffs has kind of jaded me as a jets fan. I think round 1 was a good hard tough series, but I think there were 2 different rule books being used in that series also. Yeah, I love that they're finally doing away with the 'half the distance' bullshit. I always hated that rule. And honestly I thought the ineligible rec rule was already in place. Once that ball is tipped, it should be game on for everyone.
