  1. Past hour
  2. The WR that I like on our negotiation list (for what we need, imo) is Eli Pancol from Duke. Bryce Kirtz is an okay name to bring in, he might even be a good player for us but it’s been a while since we had that go out and get the ball type dawg as a receiver, the kind of guy that can just body DBs and be a tough haul to bring down. That’s the kind of guy I want to see us bring in.
  3. Depending on the source, RB's are 7th - 9th in terms of the average salary in the NFL by position group. Reasons - overall impact and availability of replacement players. You pay QB's, impact DL's, WR's, all star OL. I get CFL has differences ... Canadians are paid a premium ... we all love Brady ... But still, football is football. It's just bad salary cap management to pay an RB one of the highest salaries on any team.
  4. Here's hoping we return the favor to them in 2027 and I'll take winning in all in 2026 as a warm-up.
  5. In a year when they should have been going all in, we saw them do essentially the opposite. Even my dad, who finds the bright side in every loss, was baffled by their offseason when we talked about it yesterday,
  6. WAAAAY to much green in the stands and WAAAAY to much cheering for them. It was 100% a rider home game.
  7. This. I never once got the sense that the on-field product was the most important thing for the club this year. It felt like as long as we're still selling out, we're fine even though there were a number of things that could have been corrected in-season (Hogan being the most glaring example). I've never once debated renewing my season tickets until this season and I'm still on the fence. Most (if not all) of the people here have sat through terrible seasons before so it's not about only supporting the team when they are winning or expecting to be in GC every year but at least give me the impression you realize the team isn't good enough and are actively trying to get better. I'm glad the club is doing well financially and all the work they have put into the gameday atmosphere is paying off but that doesn't mean a whole lot to me - I come for the football, not the Rum Hut. The Riders winning here was just the cherry on a s**t sundae of a season.
  8. That golf match was awful. Can't stand Kadri and my feed also blacked out several times. It sucked to see Sask win but Harris seems like a class act and happy for Hardrick
  9. Today
  10. It all came to down to that Als fumble at the goal line. If they score there, you've got a ball game.
  11. I would rather have dipped my balls in lava then see the Riders win a Grey Cup in our stadium. So gross.
  12. Damn, the Riders winning it in our stadium is a low point of my Bomber fandom. Especially after the way the last 3 went, and how the offseason was handled coming into this year. Got a big “it’s ok, we already got your money” vibe from the club this season.
  13. It was nice to see Alexander humbled a bit. As I said up thread, as much as I hate the Riders its hard to not feel good for Trevor Harris.
  14. I’d say it was atleast close. Kinda ugly football. Shame! lol. Mtl sure didn’t play like they wanted to win and didn’t deserve it with there effort.
  15. From where we sat the section was 50% Bombers fans, 25% riders fans, 25% misc. Some of the Bombers fans cheered Riders, some Als. A bit of a mixed bag
  16. Serious question, am I the only one who felt last night felt like a Riders home game?
  17. The festivities around the convention center and surrounding areas were well put together. I didn't see any Bombers fans cross the line at all. Going to the GC in Regina the fans were way more hostile to Bombers fans than Bombers fans were to Riders fans this weekend. Cringey too listening to the Riders fans boo Carney and yell obscenities any chance they got. But oh well, that's politics I suppose. Other than that it was a well put on weekend, that's for sure
  18. Heaven, Pennsylvania, actually
  19. Oh man if you didn't you missed out on a crazy finish. A slipped stitch leading to a backward yarn over in overtime for the win!
  20. We did our part but we were among the only ones who brought noisemakers and what not...
  21. Bingo. It is a miracle we did anything this year with the lines we had. Montreal got away with their paltry d line against us. But tonight it really showed how deficient they were Well when you compare them with the 8 fans Montreal brought, yeah. Didn't seem like Bomber fans cared enough to pick up the slack. It wasn't particularly loud.
  22. The first NFLX series.
  23. Just signed in. That was an exciting game. (Unfortunate that the Bombers weren't in it and why do they want to change the rules and field?.) The full stadium looked great. And, MGK, who I hadn't heard about before about a month ago, put on a very good half-time show. I looked at a few earlier posts with comments about the guitar players. They were excellent according to this 75 year-old ex-rocker. Next year in Calgary. Cheers.
  24. I dont recall... sounds like something from 2019...
