Isn't there a direct butterfly effect surround Durant signing a contract, collecting his bonus, abruptly retiring and the Bombers signing Bighill?
-
yeah that movie was about a qb who shall go unnamed....Bombers still want the money returned AND until he does he will remain a pariah in this league...one helluva deebag

Blue Bombers - 2025 Regular Season - Discussion Thread

Bud Grant who was a very successful coach, said about the wind...'you take it from the get go if you have that option....His theory was that the wind is very unpredictable, and you take it when it's blowing at the beginning of a game...He thought the wind could switch around or quit altogether thus losing your advantage....Knowing the unpredictability of mother nature I could see his take and it worked for him -

Don't think I saw this on here yet. DL and OL added to practice roster. https://www.bluebombers.com/2025/10/14/blue-bombers-add-two-to-practice-roster-2/ -
....or they could cut him. I can't see a universe where any team pays him 425k next year. None of his 3 year contract is guaranteed. He'll be gone before his bonus comes due imo. The guy outright sucked this year. If they try run it back with him and let Faj go they are complete idiots and deserve the 2 win season they will have. Cody has proven that Ford was completely inadequate by having a winning record with the same squad that Ford could only win one game with.

They released more 3 day passes. Now is the chance to buy some before they sell out again. Use the link below as the one of ticketmaster still says sold out. https://am.ticketmaster.com/bombers/buy/concert-series-social-pass-ext?promocode=R0NGRVhUMjU%3D

But he's still under contract through 2027 (and the amount goes up in each of the next 2 seasons) so that may hamstring them a bit, in terms of what they can afford to pay Faj unless they can get him to redo his deal or pawn it off on another team.

Yea....you looked it up and proved that MOS is onto something. Sitting back without context it appears to be a bad decision in theory. In actual practice you can't argue the results. Not just from the MOS led Bombers but overall. Yep. There are a lot of things we can question MOS about but this isn't one of them imo. I'll take wind in the 4th over first possession of the half 9/10 times. It's the smart play imo. -
The guy hasn't played since last year. We are screaming up and down about what a goof it was to sign Dalton Schoen. Same thing really. I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole right now when you factor in he is a wing nut. If we decide to move on from Zac, and I really don't see many better options, I would hope it isn't to sign him. Fajardo has led the Esks to the precipice of a playoff spot. Edmonton will lock him down. Ford is not the future there and they know it.

Faj > Kelly... 100% of the time for me... Faj may be a bit of a dink but at least he's a decent human being...

He's too big of a risk because of physical limitations from his injury before you even factor in the BS. -

I agree that Kelly (Chad) is likely too big of a risk due to the off field stuff. But, I also hope the Bombers move away from "good in the room" and "character" as the top criteria for retaining or obtaining players. That's how we end up with former Marines and endless years of Jake Thomas. Talent first if you want to win. Don't want a room full of headcases, but I'll take a few super talented ones. Especially on a team that really lacks high end talent like the Bombers. -

My bad. PTSD I guess. Thank goodness, I thought this place had gone off the deep end once and for all.

Talk is about Chad Kelly, not Mike Kelly.
-
Yea...I'm sure. Lapo would have control of his QB. Collaros can easily play a ball control style. He doesn't like it, but he could. I can't even believe that anyone would even entertain the notion of bringing back Mike Kelly. This is just insanity. I couldn't care less about his perviness, the guy was an absolute disaster as a coach, an even worse GM, and single handedly destroyed our reputation and made us the laughing stock of the league. I would rather hire the Saskatchewan guy who likes to poop in Winnipeg planters than Kelly.
-
Apologies for being away for so long. You probably already heard the answer, but it was a called QB sneak. And then when Hamilton subbed on too many guys and none stayed out on Wheatfall, he signalled to Strevy/Strevy noticed it (not sure which was really first), and touchdown.

Blue Bombers - 2025 Regular Season - Discussion Thread
DTonOB replied to Atomic's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Doug doesn't like kicking off in both halves and said so during the Edmonton game and in the post-game show. O'Shea very clearly believes that kicking off twice is okay if he gets the wind in the long quarters. So, I was curious to find how many times each team had kicked off twice (as a proxy for 'taking the wind in the 4th'). -
Collaros seems to have reached the point where there is no strong part of his game any more. He used to be able to roll out and throw 40 yard darts with amazing accuracy, but no more.
-
You sure about that? Lapo has his system and it's been the same for ever. Not all that different from what Hogan is trying to do, just lapo is better at it. For my money collaros would struggle in a lapo system because it relies on a lot of short passing which is absolutely the weakest part of collaros game.

For a team that relied on grinding out wins, especially late in the game ensuring you have the wind in the long quarter isn't always a bad thing.
