This take I can get behind. it’s the constant negativity of some posters, basically making O’Shea out to be a simpleton who plays old, injured guys just because he likes them that gets tiresome. Thursday was a fabulous game that I didn’t expect the Bombers to win, especially once Brady went down. Surely O’Shea gets some credit for that, even from posters who don’t like him?

O'Shea has nothing to do the playbook other than monitoring it's overall direction, he let's his coordinators handle the details, the same with personnel other than ratio concerns, he's not likely telling them who to play and who to sit.

Had to think about this for a bit but it really makes the most sense. We have enough DB depth with Griffin and Hallett. We would only have to start playing with the ratio on offense if Peterson gets hurt. Then we have the option of Chris Ike or Logan depending on how the game is going and we can put in Wallace, Eli or Corcaron to manage the ratio.

I agree, but Ottawa has played this way with their starter too many times to count, to not see an alarming trend. Plus, we just won against the best(?) QB in the league with our banged up backup 😁 Marcel D was a piece of something alright, but you can’t argue with winning a Cup so early in the history of a new team.

I think you guys are being over critical. Play Montreal with a backup QB & most teams are going to lose.

No one has ever said oshea can't coach. Only complaints have been about subpar roster management and if you think there's no validity to that you have had your head in the sand the whole time. Overall dude is still a great coach, but he could be even better if he didn't have a penchant for wasting roster spots.

I'm not convinced Bob Dyce has a plan, maybe they could have figured that out 2 years ago if they'd asked him, but the team has been going sideways since they fired Marcel Desjardins. Not that Marcel was a piece of cake, he was roundly hated for being cheap.

I thought at times the last few years that Ottawa was going to make some steps forward, only to be disappointed by either the lack of talent in many areas (not #1QB or receiver), coaching, or bizarre management decisions (why pay a receiver so much when you need a much better Oline, and a revamped D?). I guess it took Osh and company 5 years to get their Cup and be a perennial power. Not sure I feel the Redblacks can get there with this current regime. Time will tell I guess.

I mean we aren’t doctors but multiple games seems like a good guess based on rumors of what the injury is (shoulder). The only question is how many is multiple? 2 for sure I’m guessing but prob more like 4 5 or 6 even. logan makes more sense than Cooley cuz Logan can replace Vaval and you leave the roster as is. He’s more versatile than Cooley. He is a RB and returner. If cooley comes on who does he replace? It’s likely Vaval then who returns kicks and punts? I mean. Brady is a Canadian so it makes more sense to just get Logan the guy they signed in the off season on if he’s healthy cuz he can take Vavals spot and backup at rb. What does Cooley do other than rb? Does he even play teams? Then Cobb likely comes on also. Cuz why would they completely change the week 1 roster ? They won’t.

Yeah. I don’t think Logan’s gonna be in any time soon. Even when he’s healthy he will need to get in game shape atleast.

And that was last season now and that’s over so can’t go back and change time. Even if I could I wouldn’t go back to a football game that’s for sure but time to move on. Happy new year.

2 and 6 I thought was because every receiver got hurt really and Brady was also hurt early. That played a significant role. How is camp too easy when nobody really goes to check it out ever? I mean a few people give their opinion and it’s taken as gospel on here. I’m not sure where this relaxed camp thing came from but I can almost guarantee it was never a thing. Cuz 3 or 4 people right. But unless they at camp every day, they aren’t, they just guessing cuz some people on here think they are wade really. And to each their own but at times it’s a whole lot of just bullshit for the sake of it. There’s always something. Bombers didn’t even really make the playoffs when I first became a fan. We had a long ass grey cup drought even that ended somewhat recently and since its ended we’ve been in every grey cup game since. I mean really. Maybe some perspective is needed.

Just because it gives you the warm & fuzzies to think the Bomber organization is always a united front. doesn't mean it is. Like any organization there's arguments & disagreements. If these run deep then people get fired or leave. You may be right which is why I said I accepted your explanation but to think that there's no pressure from Wade Miller down to Mike O'Shea to win is also naive. Especially if Miller sees something he doesn't like. He'd make his feelings known as he's the Boss. As in a way too easy training camp resulting in a 2-6 start last season.

I get that Osh and the club are intentionally vague when it comes to injury reports to protect individual privacy…Whatever. But, why then, does the BB site choose to post the Lions shill’s (Lalji) provisional diagnosis about BO’s condition? Im guessing that Farhan gets his info from inside sources, but why are the BB endorsing that opinion if they are concerned about player privacy?
