Why is it them poor Roughriders is always the ones to be accused of knocking players out for the season with questionably dirty hits? Season after season, they is so unfortunate.

They are not paying for him to be veteran insurance for Strev. And just think... they extended him for another season so this means 2026 is the Zach show again.
-
I've been ringing this bell since 2021. He's still QB1 here, but he should have a much shorter leash than he had last year.

Now we just need the eight other teams to follow suit. Paging Mr. Commissioner. Now, now lets be civil. Eat some feces please and thank you is so much more polite.

sucks to see the CFL's three most promising young quarterbacks -- Rourke, Brown, Alexander -- all hurt early in the season. I can't remember a season with more high-profile injuries than this one.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers 47. Edmonchuk 2.

2025 CFL (Non-Bombers) Season

Osh has said that he wonders why more guys don’t practice it as a means to increase your value as a player. -
I hope Hogan and the offense can go 3 for 3 on opening drives. Elks aren't going to have much fun if they are playing from behind all game.

I think if we handle and frustrate the Elks D-line and run game early we should take this one with little resistance, but IF that D-line and/or running game get some traction against us, they could make it a game. I don't want either their D-line which "should be" really good based on personelle or their run game get any momentum. We know If we can handle the Edm. defensive front the backend isn't as strong, and Ford while an amazing sandlot player isn't going to beat anyone playing a passing game in the pocket. Add in 30,000 plus fans, and perfect weather, we should be set up for a "happy ending"

yup....greasy still counts tho in the injury game....he definitely got the concuss there and you could see it too by his body reaction after it slammed to the turf...the fact that these wishy washy CFL spotters who have yanked guys for far less didnt have him evaluated right then and there is laughable too....as it was clear as day he got rung....and was feeling it
-
You just described what Person can do and is about...and he can also in a 3 man front play a quasi "4th" outside linebacker role as well....If there is one import we have that would benefit our roster the most on defense it's that guy right there Ayers is a linebacker...and thats all he has done since college....to expect him, or try and get him to be an effective end in the pro game....a foreign pro game to him as well is plain stupid and just a reflection of how we have a less than optimal roster construct

MBT to start for the Als tomorrow.

I am excited to see some of our "newer" Cdn talent. Kelly has shown some flashes, Makonzo has shown flashes, Shay and Smith are highly touted. Lawson has looked good and looks healthy, Clercious, outside of the last game has looked good, Ike is showing flashes, Petterson as well, Wallace is looking very promising...... All together that is a lot of potential and promising CDN talent we are just scratching the surface with, I really want to see all of them get some rotations, get up to speed and get the chance to prove/show that they can turn into our next crop of CDN's. However we don't need any of them to be thrown to the wolves, we have the luxury of bringing them along patiently..... although it does sometimes feel like it's too patiently...I expect hope as teh season progresses more of them will see some increased loads.... Back to this game...Ayers seems quick and to be a reliable tackler...can one of the guys/gals who know more about him then I do, let me know if I he may be a fit at DE against a guy like Ford. He is smaller and younger than our true ends, but he may be able to hold contain better against an athlete who plays sandlot football like Ford.....or maybe I am thinking way too much into the contain game.....I just don't want to see Ford breaking contain and making an explosion play again....

An MOP season derailed by injury! Damn the luck!
-
Funny how the play calls looked better in game one vs. Game 2 eh? Wonder what the change was.... I know he is a bit of a sacred cow to some but we really need to worry more about collaros than some people do.
-
In Harris' defense... that was kind of a greasy play. Tensions were high after the Duncan-Busby chop block that took out George with a gnarly knee injury (which for some reason is only a 10 yard penalty) and you would be hard pressed to convince me that the late hit on Harris wasn't retaliatory on the very next play
-
Would like to see Zach get on track this game. His strong suit is no longer the deep ball, so game plan short and intermediate throws and it should be a cake walk. Mix in some runs to keep the defense honest and we should handle them pretty easily.

For sure....I just know that when I played and the HC came and asked you if you would consider learning LSing that it was never a good sign. lol In this day and age, knowing what we know about concussions in football, I would put a mandatory 10 day evaluation period if I were the commish. It would suck, but player safety has to be paramount. Especially for guys with concussion histories. At any rate, we all thought Harris was fragile, and we were all right.
-
True...when you look at it that way yes.....but...I think we dreaming haha
-
Definately...That would be the smart course of action
-
That may not be the worst thing. Not many teams will roll out their starting C as LS. Maybe it's the plan coming down the road. Dare to dream.
