  1. Past hour
  2. Interesting. I don’t think Winnipeg has as many people interested in live soccer as ppl think tho. I remember going to soccer games years and years agoThey were cheap as crap but boring as it wasnt like the soccer we all played growing up. We ran and worked hard. The soccer games were pretty boring live but did not go see a valour game so can’t comment about them. We have had several soccer teams in Winnipeg come and go. Don’t think we are a strong soccer market. We love our hockey football and basketball here. Baseball also with the fish. Just really no room for soccer. I honestly think the pro women’s hockey league would kill it here and rumours are true North wants a team so. I wonder if that means the moose go play elsewhere tho. Saskatoon? Regina? I dunno. Steinbach could work if it continues growing lol. They got a decent sized building there.
  3. Names Lowry Perfetti is interesting. JT at 3C now. I don’t think he’s been very good honestly so prob the right move. I’d prob put Barron between names and Perfetti to add some speed. We not gonna make the playoffs this year.
  4. Comrie played well. Carolina is the best team in the league no?
  5. If only Montreal had a capable veteran backup. Oh they do. This is collaros and his finger it’s just Alexander and hamstring so where’s the same energy towards Maas as O’Shea? What’s the difference. The actual difference is als had a capable veteran backup. We did not. Imagine O’Shea played an injured Zach while we had a capable backup like MBT. This site would lose its ****. Maas lost the game by staying with the injured QB.
  6. Nichols looked old and slow at times this season. I’d bring him back tho as he settled down later on but prob got beat more this year than any of his previous seasons. Nichols and Holm would both be back. I’d switch Holm to safety tho. Think he’d be very good there plus a vet so can run the D cuz Tony looks like he’s channeling the road warriors most the time on the field. No way he’s running the D like AB did. like I’ve said. DBs? Rookie/Allen, Nichols, rookie, Houston. holm as safety. Good mix of vets and rookies there.
  7. Sorry, behind Matt Dunigan...your right. The point i was making is Cal wouldn't pick Danny Mac over Dunigan at the time..😊
  8. I’d probably disagree about competent.
  9. Today
  10. Danny Mac played behind Tom Burgess...Seen action in the 78th Cup game when we trounced the Esks 50-7...I'm pretty sure Danny chucked one at the end of the game for 6 and the next year moved on...Currently he does a competent job for the BigBlue

  12. Bombers are playing it smart, you can’t choke in the Grey Cup Game if you don’t make it there 🙃
  13. Okay I want to see if I can go 3 for 3 in helping the Jets win. Any skeptics out there suspend your disbelief of my tomfoolery. Once again the Jets are favored today over the Wild. So to help get us back into the win column plus really loathing the Wild, the Jets in fact are not favored but the Wild are to win this afternoon.
  14. Yup...hence he the priority signing 😁 We had weak run defence and prob poorest tackling in second level as well...indicative of weak db play Prob gave up the most big pass plays too...so fact of matter..we can get better at way less a cost and use some of that saved money for impact line play both sides of ball
  15. Yea i’m with you i miss the days of big tight ends with the mike sellers of the world clearing out space or making it for themselves. Not only would the D have to make major adjustments i think the refs would be constantly wondering is that a penalty? lol
  16. This week on MBB, Posters battle over who hates the Riders the most.
  17. Read a post from former Valour coach Rob Gale. Basically called out Wade for giving him and the team little to no support.
  18. Listen I'm the guy here mostly likely to have a beef with any former Rider, just based on hyper anti-Sask mentality... And, to my knowledge, I have ALWAYS said on here, once a guy left there to come here: "Get the Riders stink off him and we're good to go"... And just last week I was begging for AJ Allen to come here... And there's nobody that hates Sask more than I do. Nobody. And in other news, please God, let this happen....
  19. Danny Mac played behind Tom Clements? Danny Mac never did. The backups in 87 (Clements last year playing) were Tom Muecke & some kid named Pete Riley who never saw the field. John Hufnagel was released & signed by the Saskatchewan Roughriders. .
  20. Yup but Bc signed him first..he was backup in Wpg and Cal wouldn't pay him...so off he went. He played a couple of games in Winnipeg but we really didn't know how good he would be...playing behind Tommy Clements.
  21. Thanks, that's all I was talking about. You'd read the odd grousing here on MBB as well.
  22. There were definitely some people not happy about bringing in Rider castoffs. Worked out well for us in the end but there was doubt about him.
  23. Personally I enjoyed watching Dressler when he played for us. Doesn’t really bother me if a player comes from the Riders or any other team (we wash the stink off real quick) unless there are huge mitigating factors of said player where they have compromised the values they espouse as a club and as a community.
  24. as I said we had the weakest corners in the league, yet we had the best pass defense, in terms of opponent completion %, then Nichols must be a superstar to cover the whole field
