  12. Sportsnet.caSources: Dylan Larkin requests trade from DetroitElliotte Friedman reports that centre Dylan Larkin, after 11 years with the Detroit Red Wings and just one playoff appearance, has requested a trade from the team.
  13. I want the ball in the hands of our best play makers. I don't care how it gets there. Brady makes **** happen whenever he has the ball, especially if it's in space.
  14. Today
  15. Aka a steady baseline.
  16. NOELLER PANIC LEVEL: Moderate to High
  17. Agreed. @Rich can you please change my pick as well?
  18. We're just missing Darvin Adams and Lawler
  19. I'll be at the game tomorrow somewhere behind the Bombers bench... and after last year fellas.... The **** that I saw from the Bombers at McMahon.... I'll be pleased if we aren't blown out at half time. A win would be a bonus. I swear last year was reminiscent of the 2010s era "Bombers-at-McMahon".
  20. honestly... if Collaros/Brady play like Nichols/Harris circa 18/19... that wouldn't be the worst thing for this offense... as long as we can still occasionally stretch the field..
  21. I think it's probably safe to say at this point Eli will never start except in emergencies... He's 30 years old and never been more than a 6th OL.... If he didn't win the job out of camp when it was open then he's never going to.
  22. Well, one of the reason's TC is known for underutilizing the running game is because his RBs always have as many passing yards as they do rushing yards. That said, I'd argue we're already using Brady too much in that regard. He's great as an outlet when you need it, but I'd rather get the ball in the hands of White, Wilson, and Demski if we're putting the ball in the air. Brady should not be anywhere near our #2 receiver by design.
  23. I'd also add the Brady is as much of a rec threat as he is a running one. I really hope he's utilized more in the passing game this year.
  24. I think Begelton will be a shadow of his former self. That was a pretty serious injury he had and he's still not ready to go. He consistently struggles to stay healthy and he's no spring chicken!
  25. Sorry, I meant to say "get a ring this year". My bad.
  26. Exactly. If this offense is supposed to rely on Collaros putting it up all the time...it doesn't matter who is out there to catch. It won't work.
  27. I envy other teams who would not be impacted at all by their top 2 receivers going down in a single game. I can't believe the Bombers are the only team that would have that problem. Welcome to 9th place!!
  28. No Hutchings, Orimolade, Begelton or Paredes. Gotta change my pick to the Bombers.
  29. the thing people are forgetting... will the extra American on the OL make the line that much better... and have a more significant impact than the fifth receiver?... we don't know yet, but that could be the case... remember Sask started 4 Canadian receivers and 4 American OL in the GC, to much success... on the D... I wonder if there is some kind of philosophical shift that has basically flipped the WILs and MIKEs... could be something to monitor... On the DL.. too bad we don't have one more useful Cdn for rotational purposes... what ever happened to that global DT we drafted, Edward Vesterinen?... did he even come to camp?
  30. Dont believe it was 1 big injury. But a lack of interest and opportunity. That said, dude never stayed healthy. In the league 7 years and played 63 games. Yep, that's huge. I expect our OL to win that battle definitively tomorrow. Our DL should provide the best pass rush we've seen in a long time as well. When you win the battle in the trenches, you are in a great position to win the game. I think the secondary will take a few games to gel with 2 new corners, 1 rookie, and 2 guys changing positions. Ol will need some games to be at 100% as well, but they should be prety good out the gate.
  31. All joking aside.... Did Addison retire because of age or was it a career ending injury? Like, could he actually lace up if needed, or did he blow out his knees a la Schoen/Strev...?
  32. Both ruled out. Calgary Stampeders sit out Jaylon Hutchings, Folarin Orimolade against Winnipeg - 3DownNation
  33. I’m thinking teams that win championships also win the areas of bench strength as injuries to key positions are inevitable. If I’m hearing the words lean, thin and/or don’t have the skill set we need to describe our depth my attention turns to our scouting department and what kind of legitimate appropriate criticism should be cast their way.
  34. You knew Fredricksen and Singer before camp?
  35. Maybe they can trick the refs and dress up Addison for Cocoran? The old switcheroo? It was unfortunate that in pre season that the unknown receivers had maybe two balls thrown to them total... hard to gauge how good they could be in real game situations.
