  2. I’ll just say this. I was surprised when we drafted a Canadian QB. I liked it after researching him a bit. I actually liked it more when Green Bay gave him a shot and honestly thought he maybe was screwed a bit as on the highlights and stats he looked calm and composed. After his release I hope he’d have seen the bs that goes on down there and realized his best way to the nfl is to come here especially after a few months of doing very little to nothing. I’m happy he signed with us. I think he’s got potential to be a future QB for us, I hope for our sake this kid takes the reins next season or when given a chance and runs with it. I’m a bombers fan and Elgersma is a bomber now. I’m not sure why I originally thought he wasn’t drafted last year. But he was wasn’t he. It wasn’t 2 years ago at all. Last year so honestly waiting a year for a draft pick ain’t so bad. Not sure where the didn’t want to play for Winnipeg stuff came from, ya why would pro players want to play in front of guaranteed sellouts every night but basically it’s Zach for sure then 2 others plus prob keep a 4th if 3 others show they are capable. Looking at it in realistic terms, I’d assume based on just logic that Elgersma is one of those 3. The other 2 , 2 of thorn UFL and terry. Logically terry or UFL boy likely getting cut just based on willingness to prob be backup Terry might even have the early edge but I’m not convinced Any QB can run short yardage.
  3. I challenge anyone not to read that in the voice.
  4. Seriously, what happened to Ward? He was that good few years ago. Did he got injured and never fully recovered from it?
  5. Shitass long winter and offseason blues...Draft ( for the Bombers and Jets!) Can't come soon enough!
  6.    rebusrankin reacted to a post in a topic: 25/26 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season Thread
  7. Ah Jeez man its Friday, pour yourself your fave cocktail and relax.
  8. Oh FFS, don't make a mountain out of a mole hill. Was there anything in my post that was even remotely negative about Elgersma?? Not going to argue with you over something as stupid as this. You **** on everyone here. As a mod, that's all you do. You're a bully. You use your position here to intimidate others with drive by smears all the time so why don't you just go crawl under a rock again. Cuz like a snake you only come out to bite someone when they least expect it. I said I meant he should move on from the NFL. Not the Bombers. If I made a mistake in clarity well so be it. I explained so it should be over withouit you coming after me. So, quit being an ass. I've tried to get along with you. Even tried ignoring you trolling & baiting me. Well, that clearly didn't work so go screw off. If anyone should STHU, it's you.
  9. Today
  10. Jets sign defenceman Garrett Brown to a two-year, entry-l...Brown signs two-year, entry-level contract with an average annual value of $1,050,000 in the NHL.Drafted 4 years ago at 5'9" He's 6'4" now
  11. You literally did not say that in the post I quoted no matter how slowly you want me to read the words. If you meant "at some point it's time for him to move on" then fine but I can't read your damn mind.
  12. lol you, me and literally every other literate person here all know that’s not all you said. You’ve been shitting on this guy for months because his career goals don’t align with your fandom. I hope you can learn to cheer for him and anyone else who chooses to manage their own career
  13. Tell me how many players have you scouted for the 26 draft. These comments are just so internet. The local lots of times don’t want to play for the hometown team because of outside pressures. I’m not sure ppl understand the pressure a local would be under. Free tix for friends, you get the bad friends asking for money. It’ doesn’t work out always that great
  14. Read what I said again. Slowly. I never said we should move on from Elgersma. I said at some point HE HAD TO MOVE ON from the NFL tryouts. I also said I hope he does well as I hope for any Bomber rookie trying to make the team. That's all I said. Like, seriously??
  15. It’s obvious that the UFL don’t make enough money to qualify. Isn’t it like 10 million in revenue or profit they have to be making. Ya. UFL ain’t close to that.
  16. Heavy balls was Corny. Dolegala throws rainbows. Why would we be even close to being at the point to moving on from a draft pick from less than a year ago? Should we take every QB off our neg list that has been there for more than a year because it's time to move on?
  17. I've been critical of the decision Elgersma's made with all the NFL tryouts. And I've made that point quite clear because at some ;point, it's time to move on. He's lucky to have a soft pad to land on with the Bombers. The other qbs in the UFL don't have that luxury. having said that, I hope he plays well & shows us that he deserves to be here & can transition to become the starter a year or two down the road. I want Taylor to be successful. I think he'll find the CFL will be a lot more difficult than he anticipated which is a good thing. It means he will have to work hard to be successful.
  18. They'll probably sign Ward. Lol.
  19. Never had a doubt Elgersms would be here. From a career perspective it's his best move and he's not a dumb guy. Figured it would be after the UFL season but glad his VISA status forced his hand now
  20. Tommy Stevens also massive and one of the best short yardage guys.
  21. Dolegala did just fine and he's even taller than Elgersma. TBF, he also has heavy balls so maybe that's more important than height? 🤣
  22. Super pumped about Elgersma. He's definitely not just some scrub Canadian QB fodder. He's got the size, skills, and pedigree to be the next Rourke. He was the best Packers QB not named Love during their training camp last year. I think this guy is the real deal and our future at QB. Exciting stuff.
  23. Few monthes after rourke comes up to the riders, we will all be sick of hearing about canadian qbs across the whole league.
  24. Finally the kid made the right move and we'll get to see first hand what he's got and what we seen when we drafted him.....I hope he works out .....nice to see another Canadian qb get talked about besides the pivot in BC . ....Zack will be a great teacher and one Elgersma will learn a lot from...Looks like he's got all of the tools and it would be great for us to develop another CFL qb into a winner.....Here's hopin'
  25. Sneaky political commentary.
  26. Another Buff would be fantastic please and thank you but know there will never be another one like him. We need upgrades everywhere but if I had to pick one our 2nd forward line upgrade depth is crucial.
  27. I heard his work visa was denied due to social media posts that were negative about McDonald's and DoorDash.
