  1. Past hour
  2. I think they are worried that Sergio punting would affect his kicking. Almost no one does all three jobs any more.
  3. Bo Levi has the gift of the gab and comes across very well on the tube....He'll be a good one....As far as Matty being let go...there were whispers about his imbibing ...Now I don't know if that was factual or just an excuse to dump him....Dunnigan had his share of noggin knockers in his time and maybe it was starting to tell in his speech...can't say for sure, but after listening to Kate over the past while, she is starting to make me year for the days of Matty....At any rate IF it wasn't his choice to move on, I think that was pretty piss poor treatment of one of the stars of this league....That still sticks in my craw
  4. When SC hits wide left, the last photo here should go up on the jumbotron. Lol.
  5. So what does Castillo have to do to get into the pet dept. ....get new glasses.....Sergio should have handled all of the kicking chores long ago....
  6. I never get upset about the world Juniors, i know these kids are giving it their best,a ton of pressure, just enjoy watching future stars before money changes everything.
  7. Yup not even close. Imagine him with an dominating Oline? When he's in the zone, everyone else around him becomes better.
  8. What are you talking about here.
  9. I don’t think that’s necessarily true but I get the feeling he also would rather a team of vets lose badly than calling up kids who probably aren’t quite ready to lose. I think from his pc I got this, yup we suck and right now we can’t do anything about it. The guys we want to trade have no value so what do you want from us really. He’s right also as Toews Schenn miller Pearson Nino names Nyquist get you 4th rd picks or later. My feeling is Chevy didn’t expect us to be this bad but and who did honestly, the roster isn’t a last place roster. It’s almost Florida when they got Barkov or Colorado when they got mackinnon. A bad year followed by game changing draft pick followed by success. And there’s the silver lining.
  10. Today
  11. If Kramdi can walk, he will be starting im sure. Allen showed some brilliant flashes at S, but I would love to flip-flop him and Kramdi. I don't love Kramdi + Holm, but as long as we don't fall in love with a really bad db out of camp, yet again, the secondary will be very good. I think DL, and flipping the ratio at 1 lber spot is far more critical to the success of the D.
  12. Let the best player earn the position, but O'Shea's history and attitude would seem to make that unlikely. He will probably play nice and make a few token gestures to signal a change of attitude, but inevitably he will revert. This would likely mean he will set up non-pet players to fail and then fell justified that he knew best all along. Because he is not one of O'Shea's faves.
  13. With Kolankowski gone and Thomas sorta gone, O'Shea will be dangerously low on pets, so Kramdi is golden.
  14. Kramdi is not nearly as bad as you make him out to be, but if someone is clearly better I like him at S. I know you don't care for him there, but I think he could be really good there with a little more time.
  15. Yea...he is actually a pretty good punter.
  16. I don't know why they don't just let Castillo do it all
  17. Oh agree....hence why we need to find a guy by whatever means and develop him all yr as a possible succession....not the usual just ignore it and then try and find a guy when we are forced to.... But for this yr Castillo is a must....especially early in yr when we may be still working out kinks with a new offensive system and may need some early season FG's
  18. Goosen...Fortin...among others Woodbey should be our SAM and also an almost Jack at times off the edge of line....Griffin as well if resigned, tho not in a jack spot...Griffin and Nichols as the HB's as well would be ideal...and we get more physical with Woodbey and Griffin playing starter reps Smith as well needs to be playing majority of reps at WIL and even in the role Woodbey had... correct guys....and this also has to go hand in hand with not predetermining and being rigis with ratio based on how we ran it before....just negates talent on roster from actually playing if camp shows Kramdi is not best player at SAM....does Osh start him anyway...cause thats Osh...And they have to justify his stupid salary?...Probably....and that right there makes us weaker on defence...
  19. Would be nice to have one guy do all 3, but unless we have a sure thing there we can't roll the dice.
  20. I suppose it depends on where we are at with NAT receiver but yea...we could do it fairly easily without a ton of impact.
  21. I don't think going 3 imp on the OL will hurt us too much. Kramdi is gonna start as long as he's healthy. Then if you start Shay, and Lawson, plus Brady, 2 WRs, and 2 OL, that's 8. If we go with a DA who can replace Lawson some and pass rush with an all-in DL for 49% of snaps or less, we'd be in a great spot.
  22. Neuf as the 6th ol would be an incredible luxury. I'd love to have him and Wallace fight for the 2nd guard spot, with the loser taking the 6th spot. Letting Wilson go makes a lot of sense. Personally, I'd platoon the canadians at wil, and play woodbey at DHB. Woodbey is such an extraordinary outlier in his combination of size, athleticism, DB, and LBer skill sets. Playing him at half, and having him be the db in the run fit instead of Nichols would be such a miss match. Rolling out Shay, who is very similar in skill set at Wil, would take a big load off the shoulders off the Sam position as well. We could have a full 3 guys at wil/mac/sam who can play the box like Lbers. Plus a DB in Woodbey. That would be a massive mismatch in the run game. Plus Allen, who is a down hill Safety. In the Cover game that would give us interchangeability at Wil and Sam without subbing, but if slid Woodbey to Mac, and brought in Griffin, we'd have the same kind of mismatch advantage. Allen, Woodbey, and Shay can give us the game-breaking versatility that we used to have with Biggie/BA/Kyrie. It would take us closer to being able to run the cutting-edge modular defenses we used to run. We'd just need more Inside/Out versatility on the DL.
  23. I wouldn't that, their has been a couple of centres that started their rookie season. Nicastro, McEwan are two examples.
