  1. Past hour
  2. Our DL is so old... they desperately need an injection of youth and speed at the position. Lawson was the only guy being disruptive out there, everything else came from linebackers.
  3. Like: Parker ....actuall playmaker at S, has given this D a boost. Whole secondary looks very good. Wheatfall....stepping up nicely, as receiver threat, plenty of upside Griffin.....guided missile out there. How long until he's a regular on D? Vaval.....looks like a sleeper player......nice production as returner Meh: Zach.....2 TD, 2 INT......good reads, but at least 4-5 balls underthrown.....please adjust some play calls No Like: Defensive ends....not enough production: not enough depth 255 yards on O. Not good enough Inconsistent OL play.....one play good, next not so good
  4. Re-watched the game. Bombers D had very little push up the middle but overall D is solid. Special teams better than previous couple years. O looked lost for the most part. O line struggled and did not dominate. Here's hoping J Jackson can be honest with Hogan, Osh etc in his assessment of Collaros, who's clearly on the downswing in terms of arm strength. Let's face it, Strev has better accuracy and velocity. In some ways we were lucky to be facing Masoli or result could've been different.
  5. Today
  6. After only 2 games, Wheatfall is sixth in the league in receiving yards with 213 on 11 catches and he has the most 30+ yard receptions with 4. It's only 2 games but he flashed some moments of brilliance last year and he also had a great pre-season. He looks like he is for real. Trey Vaval is #1 in punt return average with 13.7 yards per punt return
  7. Does Osh realize that tho? Wr won...despite a less than optimal roster sp based on history no change will be made unless someone literally on crutches..nobody will get valuable experience and earn more playtime and it will invetibally bite us in ass when it really counts...we've seen this movie 4 yrs running now...
  8. Vaughters and Willie took way to many snaps pretty well ineffective, roster needs to add at least 1 more end
  9. I just watched the game, that 2nd and 3rd quarter on O was very stinky. Poor execution all around by many guys. I didn't mind the play selection , it was just bad o-line , a few bad drops, bad Zach.... everything looked very pre season like. It seemed like when BC was able to stop the run that the Bombers had zero answer. Zach looks as bad as he did in the Grey Cup and last season. Those lame duck ints were completely unnecessary. That first pic was underthrown in double coverage.... why? That 2nd pic was forced for no reason at all considering we had a big lead and didn't need to force a throw deep in our end so late in the game. I don't think his arm is shot like Matt Nichols but he definitely is having issues in his decision making and apparently his execution. The secondary did make a few mistakes but for the most part they swarmed and I really liked what I saw out of them. Same with Jones and Griffin at lb those guys were noticed on the field. D-line I specifically watched Jake Thomas for this game to see if maybe people on here such as myself are over exaggerating his play. I encourage anyone with PVR to rewatch the game and keep and eye on him. That guy was big brothered all night long and was comically out muscled and tossed around on nearly each play. He was also the guy who completely bit on the play action with Masoli that gave them one of their only positive plays. I watched Thomas run full steam ahead and crash and bounce back several times. The only time he was near the QB was when he was tossed around like a losing sumo fighter and he would somersault somewhat near Masoli. He was on the field way to much tonight and while Lawson wasn't an all star. At least Lawson wasn't pushed around and he made the one big play that resulted in an interception and he at least plugged the lane at times. Thomas was a pylon blowing in the wind... just completely useless. Zach can not play like a vintage Danny Mac gunslinger... I'd like to see him throw on the run more.
  10. People are happy to make excuses for him.... but Zach really needs to change the way he plays. He doesn't have the arm he used to to take the risks he does.
  11. 1 - Secondary 2 - Lb'ers 3 - Wheatfall Outside of Zach being off, Clercius had himself a really bad game. Thomas was awful as usual.
  12. Even less points if you subtract garbage time points.
  13. Eli at slotback
  14. Here's hoping Brady is back next week and this is all a cow's opinion....
  15. Sad thing is MOS will not makes changes unless there are injuries. Go back to the game one OL. Try J.Jones for Wilson. Put in Pearson for Ayers so you have a rotation at DE. Oline is better, Zach and the offense are likely better. D likely gets better too.
  16. And would you rather have Vanterpool at LG (for 70 snaps on O) with Wallace and Eli in reserve or Wallace starting, Eli in reserve and Kyrie Wilson on the field for 30 snaps on D? There's no real logical way to justify dicking around with the OL when it's basically the heart of the team. It stops beating, you're dead. You can figure out how to deal with a deficit at WIL or field corner or WR...not at LG or any OL spot.
  17. I am not a football coach but it looked to me that our guards were trying to cover for a lousy Kolankowski.
  18. The problem is the domino effect when you start making changes on the offensive line. In isolation, Wallace was fine but on the whole, the unit struggled. Was that the change or was it guys simply struggling tonight? To me, it didn’t make a lot of sense to make changes to an offensive line that had exceptional game week before. I also temper that with the understanding we had a **** TONNE of time to prepare for BC in the lead up to last week. Had we not played well, I would have been worried.
  19. That, IMO, is the critical job of the head coach. It is also why we we lost three, count 'em, three Grey Cups in a row. It wasn't an act of God, it was a dereliction of duty.
  20. I don't completely disagree. Thought Wallace was okay. But Vanterpool is better, and to your point, makes it easier on Kolo in the middle. A bit of a multiplier bonus there.
  21. Yeah most of Toronto's line that we couldn't handle last year.
  22. Wallace was fine... It was the whole of the line that was worse, not one individual part.
  23. 7 yards a carry to 4.7 yards a carry by our running backs. Pass protection went from perfect to near zero clean pockets tonight. Not blaming Wallace, but there was really no reason to mess with success.
  24. Making a point as well as giving the O=line, which struggled tonight, more work. Having the offence sustain drives and give the defence a breather would also help.
  25. We are 2-0 which is good...we have some issues and holes in lineup...and easily fixable BUT....the crappy part is that we all know how Osh rolls and since we won...he will stick to status quo...and we all know how that ends up... He won't make the necessary changes to make a good team...a better team...a major flaw in my opinion
