When you think about it, do you really want to make the playoffs only to get thoroughly embarrassed by Edmonton? Even if Drew Willy plays, the last thing I want to do is put a guy behind centre, our franchise QB no less in what may be his first game back to face a defence like that against our offensive line.

As if missing the playoffs 5 out of 6 years isn't already embarrassing. Yes Mr Perfect, I want to make the playoffs.

We played Edmonton really good last game, Think we'd play Calgary in the west semi anyway and we match up well with them. It wouldn't shock me if we made it and actually beat calgary only to lose to Edmonton.

Bombers would have a very good chance of winning a playoff game against Calgary or Edmonton. Yes 100% I want playoffs!

We've missed the playoffs three years in a row and 5 of 6, we need a playoff birth.

Who cares? More then likely we will get blown out.

Do you really think we could beat Edmonton or Calgary in a game that matters to them?

Yes, we played them well the last time... That game mattered to them...

Don't think Edmonton or Calgary is as good as their records are... we have played Calgary tough every game this year except the one Marve started... yeah i think if we play Calgary in the semis, we have a damn good chance at beating them.

Edmonton has looked pretty bad in the 2nd half of the season.  It's not even cliche this season to say that all you gotta do is get in the playoffs to have a shot at the Grey Cup.  The Bombers are literally one play from winning over Edmonton and Calgary in half the games they've played them this season.

Not if it means a blowout & the chance Willy could get hurt again. I want Willy back only after a complete off season of rest & recovery so he's ready to go next season full speed.

The Esks defense will kill us. The playoffs are a whole different thing than getting thru a long 18 game marathon of a regular season.

Yes.

I wish it could be but... no.

TSN showed Nik Lewis's bum like, 5 times, and they wonder why ratings are down.

BC pushed Edm. to OT last night so anything is possible.  Reilly threw 3 interceptions and if he can be forced into his scrambling mode he makes some truly idiotic throws.

Back into the playoffs who cares, anything can happen in the playoffs even a Bomber win.

Make the playoffs...great waste money on an extra game as the CFL allocation of expenses and playoff shares no where near covers the actual cost. And reinforce management's mantra that we are on tract with the Plan.

I'm hoping TSN comes up with a butt crack blocker of some kind, either that or dress Nik in a full body leotard to avoid the spectacle.  Bad for ratings and children.

That's an excuse I haven't heard before.

Curious to know if Willy could play if we got to the ESF by some miracle...

I don't think any team is going to win in the playoffs. Everybody is playing badly.

I think a playoff birth helps perception with more casual fans which helps ticket sales, which helps the club. Personally would like to see my team in the playoffs, unless it means keeping Marcel.

Yup I definitely want in the playoffs.

If Mike Reilly plays how he did this week against BC or how he did against Hamilton a few weeks ago the Esks are capable of losing any given game.

I'm a believer that you have to learn how to win.  Making the playoffs with a team that is not quite ready helps you next year.

Penn State sports psychologist David Yukelson:

"Learning is what competition is about," said Yukelson, a past president and fellow in the Association of Applied Sports Psychology. "Fans are about wins and losses, and I get it. But really being in that situation gives you the experience of knowing what you need to do the next time. The speed of the game, how to play against an opponent, the weather, how to handle pressure. By being in that experience you can use what you learned -- if you're motivated the right way."
