Up first:  Pittsburgh Penguins, my secondary team to cheer for.

 

I guess their worst start since Sid's rookie year could be because of their lousy defense.  Or bad coaching.  Or Kessel.

 

But in reality its because I took Fleury in my pool every year for 10 years until last year when I was fed up, he has his best year ever and then I took him this year and now he sucks. 

 

But really, whats the deal?  They might be the first to can their coach.

Maybe Stamkos will re-sign...

Everyone is assuming he is moving to a different team.

Cant do it, need to save that capspace to re-sign Ladd and lock up Burmi.

Tampa rolling the dice but Stamkos forced there hand by stating that he would refuse any trade, lots of cap trouble for Tampa if they sign Stamkos and don't front load it and even if they do lots of RFA and UFA contracts coming up.

If Stamkos won't waive his NMC and walks away he's a classless piece of garbage.

Because he negotiated a fair contract with his employer and then they asked him to change the terms in the final year...?

Stamkos feels that they have a good chance to win and doesn't want to leave this year, i get it but how would you feel if Ladd refused a trade and left at the end of the season and we got nothing in return.

Yeah uh huh if you don't know why there is no reason to explain. Sorry it went over your head. 

The nhl needs to mandate NMC out of contracts in the final year. The argument a player wants to do the best for the team is a lie. And that's what makes him classless. There I explained it.

Jets could retain on Ladd. Best guess... he's on waivers cuz he sucks

Our friend Eklund seems to think so.  And sooner rather than later!

Eklund is a huge joke. He is such a joke that years ago he was on a USA based trade center show. He was such a gong show he wasn't invited back. 2 minutes after he says he's heard that ryan Smyth and the oilers have agreed to a contract extension... Smyth was traded. That whole show had many more instances of what he said the opposite happened. Heck man. Eklund isn't even the guys real name.

With that said tho... I do think Chicago is Ladds likely destination. I'm not sure for what .... a 1st is guaranteed but not sure who the prospect or player coming this way would be. 1st and Andrew Shaw would be nice but doubtful.  

Hopefully a D prospect like Pokka or Svedberg

1st and Dano sounds nice but I think he ends up in Florida and signs long term.

I know.  I like to post his name because someone always explodes when I do. 

But realistically, you agree with him!

Heard that Chicago is not interested in giving up a first round this year as they need to build up prospects for what it's worth.

Dano makes no sense at all. We are loaded with forward prospects 

Really don't see CHI needing a player like Ladd. Wash/Fla/St. L do.

Chicago is Ladds likely destination. It is what it is. We willsee what what get back 

The thing about trading with Chicago is, if you're getting a prospect back, you know the odds are good that you're going to get a high quality player. Those guys can scout.....

I'd probably do Dano for Ladd straight up.
