Linebacker was tough for me. The Amerc's don't really impress me that much... but Hurl was exposed a bit at Mac last year and apparently played all WLB at mini camp.

 

I could see Waggoner coming in and stealing the job at WILL. I was hoping Hurl would step it up in the middle, but it doesn't really sound like that's the case. Briggs and Newman will provide good depth for us.

I know it's the time of year where we are all shamelessly optimistic but the talent brought in on the defensive end this year is far better on paper than last year. I was really hard on Walters for bringing in only three impactful players who were completely new to the CFL (Leggett, B. Johnson and Cotton) but at this moment, I'm thrilled with the players he's brought in without CFL experience.
