Game 75: Habs @ Jets

No Carey Price so a big break for the Jets. We need some offence and a little help from the Islanders tonight would be welcome as well ...

Buff is back tonight.

And the Jets signed Michigan captain Andrew Copp. Bye bye slater in the off season

OLE OLE OLE OLE BUFF IS BACK.... OLE OLE OLE F*CK THE HABS!.... OLE OLE GO JETS GO!

(Sorry, headed to MTSC tonight... little excited already)

Glad Buff's back, but curious how healthy he actually is....

I wonder who abuses the away jersey more. Jets fans or MTL fans?

The only kings interned today were in England. Thanks a lot Islanders for nuthing!

2 of kings Canucks and flames getting in anyways so those games don't really hurt us. What a game tho. Super Pav again. Buff didn't look so good early in the d zone but played well all in all

Canucks losing helps. Any time any of those three teams (VAN, CAL, LA) loses outright it helps us.

Huge win tonight.

Whatever Pavs is doing, keep it up.  Although I still dont like his habit of glaring at his D-men after a goal.  I dont recall many players glaring at him when he was playing poorly.

You look at the standings and two things spring to mind.  Will that final game against Calgary be a win=in, lose=out game?  And what are the odds we lose the tie-breaker and miss because of it.  That would be crushing.

How can you tell whether he's glaring at anyone specific or angry with himself.

To be fair I cannot.  But it has been reported by commentators and other media when he's done it in the past and on the first goal last night he was staring a hole through someone.  I thought it appeared to be the Jets D but I suppose it could also have been the Habs player.  Generally people dont glare at others when angry at themselves I dont think.

Generally there are times when a person can be looking in a direction without looking at anyone specifically.

Heck, people have even been known to talk to one person while looking at another:

It's a pretty natural reaction to look at the dman if a puck just bounced off of him and into the net. I don't really have a problem with it. It would be a different story if he started yelling at him.

Let's face it, it's Pavelec's most glaring weakness.

It's not like he's pulling a printers, Burris or Elliott out there.. Bit of a reach to.suggest he's glaring at the defense all the time..(I realize it's not your reach yes lol)

Well when you are screened by your d man or the puck bounces off him, yeah i'd get why he'd look at him, on the markov goal, i thought pavelec was more upset with himself than anybody else. I think he thought he should have had it to be honest, but... fact is he was screened by 2 guys, toby i believe was one and the other was a montreal player. It's a pretty normal reaction for goalies in the league to be a bit pissed about being screened by their own player.

Usually (I hope) the goalie get's upset at the situation (being screened) and not at the player (didn't mean to and/or had to be there). There's a difference.

He was probably ticked at Toby for letting himself get pushed by the small Montreal forward in front of the net causing the screen ...

I really don't think he was pissed at the player. Just the situation.

6 straight wins and people are pissed that he is "glaring" at his D men?

Wow, what does he have to do to get some respect?
