Free Agency - 2014...

Not counting Sundays, there are 17 days left to sign our own FAs.

Do the Bombers have a say in all the FAs we have to sign or do circumstances exist where we have no chance?

For me, at least to get to TC:

Desirable signings - Some for obvious reasons, some for NI content, some for experience:

Henoc Muamba, Chris Matthews, Jade Etienne, Brandon Stewart, Will FordJovon JohnsonAkeem Foster, Kenny Mainor, Justin Sorensen, Marc Parenteau.

Signings if it makes sense - Again, ratio-wise and depth, new signings:

JT Gilmore, Ryan Lucas, Chris CvetkovicChris KowalczukDan West.

Not a Priority - Injuries….

Chad Simpson, Andre Douglas.

For comparison: (not including retired, suspended or released)

BC - …………..0 - 5 signings

Edmonton…….4 - 11

Calgary……….10 - 17

Sask…………..3 - 17

WBB…………..6 - 18

Hamilton………1 -6

Toronto……….1 - 10

Montreal………8 -17

The Bombers have 79 60 players listed on their roster page including all eligible FAs.
There are 34 imports and 32 26 NIs.
However, I can't imagine injured players like Sims-Walker will be back nor Bo Smith, nor Boltus (but that's just my wish)

Good, now he can get back into polling….where he obviously belongs.  :)

How can we go on? It's all pointless now.

Wow, Pat White, former West Virgina QB, is an Edmonton Eskimo. #cfl

I saw this on Twitter but don't understand why people are freaking out. Who's he...?

College star, former second round NFL draft pick. Great athlete but didn't make it in the NFL.

Been an awful lot of those up here...

That's for sure

Pretty sure he was on the Bombers' neg list for quite some time.

Quite right.

Here's more: April 11 2011

WHITE OFF BLUE RADAR: The Bombers have removed former West Virginia star Pat White from their neg list, according to a CFL executive. White, drafted by the Miami Dolphins but released in 2009, had turned his attention to baseball but stepped away from an opportunity with the Kansas City Royals last month. Winnipeg opted to move on as there were questions about whether White was going to continue with his football career and because they have some other QB prospects they find interesting, particularly with those free agents that don't get drafted in the NFL later month likely to look north for opportunities.

Wow, Pat White. I was dreaming about having him up here years ago. He is definitely one hell of an athlete. I think he played baseball after the first time his NFL dream came to an end. The guy can run; he posted a 4.55 in the 40yd sprint

@News1130Sports: #BCLions defensive lineman Jabar Westerman has told gm Wally Buono that he's not willing to sign a contract extension.

Something is happening in BC guys can't get out of there fast enough. Have they all had enough with Wally?

Is his brother still on the team? Maybe Banks and Moore can do some recruiting.

Looks like Wally just got Westerman'd!

All that means is he wants to play out his optional d test the NFL interest. Certainly not anything unusual.

you think he has a shot? I don't..

Maybe he wants out of bc, maybe he just wants to test the market.. To assume it's "just" for NFL reasons is a little goofy if you ask me.. Specially as he didn't really wow anyone this year..

Andrew Harris re-ups in BC. There goes my dream of bringing him next off season.

I heard there's a trade involving him and 1 of the condition is to extend him.....

just kidding.... :D

Apparently Harris is also moving to BC full time.

He's going to have to have one heck of a raise to live in Vancouver full time.

He'll likely want to live closer to Surrey than Vancouver since that's where the Lions' practice facilities are although even there wouldn't be cheap.

@CFL: THIS JUST IN: The @REDBLACKS have signed LB Anton McKenzie. Details to come. #CFL
