It really was Must Win starting last weekend.... Couldn't do it. Now it's 100% for real. Anyone here believe these guys can win 4 games in a row?

The Lions are the sleeper in the West. I think they want to make a statement going into the playoffs & it'll be at our expense. Nathan Rourke has had a bit of a "off"SEASON but id he gets hot they may be the team to beat. The Elks made tremedsous strides this season but I think they may still be a year sway. The Riders have kind of gl.ided thru this season hoping the playoffs will turn on the competitive juices but it looks like they're going to keep struggling. Calgary & Winnipeg at the bottom. If Adsams gets on a run they can do some damage. The problem is as good as the Stamps offense is, their defense is putrid. Defense wins championships. Offense sells tickets. Except if you cheer for the Stamps. the fans here still suck. The Bombers? Meh. Coaching is a big problem. Heads should roll but we all know they won't. Besties don't fire Besties.

BC is hosting the West Semi on Halloween. Friday means Bupkus to them. Why play Rourke, Hatcher, McInnis, Betts, Horvath etc and risk injuries?

Horvath is chasing a couple records - Pringle (rushing TD's) and Milt (total TD's) so maybe they play their starters part of the game, trying to get those. Only reason I could think of.

Maybe but let's say you play Rourke and he gets hurt. Not worth it.

With our defense, his biggest worry would be pulling a hammy after a long run. 😂

Well BC knows If they beat us, they send us home. They also know no matter that it doesn’t matter in their playoff positioning if we come in and beat them we potentially play them again and this time Winnipeg has the momentum it can’t be stated how important it was for winnipeg to beat Calgary in 2019 at the end of the regular season to give them that mindset they can go into McMahon stadium and compete when it mattered. So I’m not expecting an easy game at all. But I will say this. Just win baby. 9-9 Montreal and Toronto took us down in the grey cup. Sometimes playing lose without expectations is a huge advantage. Everyone expects Montreal, Edmonton, And BC to be in the grey cup game, they have to play up to the standards set by others, we just need to compete in see what happens.

Horvath is 3 back of sole position of the TDs record... he really cooled off the last quarter of the season or so. With CFL rosters its hard to sit TOO many people... but I can definitely see Rourke getting a rest, and they might try to get Horvath rested by just having him dress as the 3rd QB effectively, he has run the short yardage package for them all season.

That might be a good thing, provided the Bombers also win.

Winnipeg may have a chance against Toronto as Kelly may not be 100% in time for the Semi-Final.

He's had 5 TD's in the last 5 weeks (which also included a BC bye week) so he's still putting up numbers. He's had 4 multiple TD games (including 3 in one game against us) so it's still within the realm of possibility. Like you said, he's their short yardage guy (11 of his 18 rushing TD's are goal line plunges with another 3 coming from two yards out), so he may get opportunities, even if they only use him in that role this week.

Nobodies scared of this bombers team. Or the riders for that matter. BC probably wants to avoid Calgary and would prefer to play us.

Bingo. I'm sure every team wants to the play the bombers in the playoffs

I think BC should and will rest whomever they can. They ripped us with a backup QB last time, so why not? No one is concerned about the Bombers…. And they shouldn’t be.

Tune-up.

I wonder if the players are as sick of the O'Shea regime and all the losing they have had in the past few years as we fans are. If so, maybe the core players will take the game off in hopes that a loss, particularly a blowout loss, wil lead to substantial change.

Ya that sounds like professional athletes to me....

Crazy talk to suggest veterans would throw the game for us in order to make a change.

Rourke also should not play a down. Lots of back ups will see time.

I don’t see any way that happens.

More likely the vets go "we need a win to get in and once we're in we're all at 0-0 and have a real chance"

I disagree... I don't think the Lions are a sleeper at all... I think they are clearly the class of the West... Edmonton is much improved but I don't see them stopping BC, even with a game in Edmonton... BC currently has the longest non-Hamilton GC drought... last win was 2011 (can't remember who they played against...)

I actually don’t think there was a Grey Cup in 2011.
