Heard yesterday morning out of Regina a Rider player had been in a wreck and that it was likely the Rider players fault, didn't know who until afternoon. Then a lot of locals went off on a "brown guy

Id sign him...slot him right into Rt..shift Broxton and either reserve roster Stan...or try him at guard amd swap out Elsbury for either Eli or Vibert..and if that doesn't shore things up reconfig the interior till it does..lotsa time still to make it work

Wallace has taken snaps at center too no? Maybe thats his calling..

didn’t he have a serious injury? I don’t watch a lot of Lion games so maybe some can comment on his play. It’s obvious Bryant is struggling out there, they really should have kept Randolph, and told Bryant politely he can stay on as the 6th, but some players have a hard time accepting they’re not quite what they used to. I know Randolph was a mixed bag but he was literally playing every position on the line and I think with his athleticism he would eventually become a solid tackle over time.

Jake Paul is suggesting that he's better than most current NFL receivers and reports that many NFL teams have reached out to him.

Jake Paul also thought he was legitimate boxer....

I think he tore his bicep last year week 3 or 4 and then came back for the last 2 games but didn't play in the playoffs I don't think.

He's played all 5 games for the Lions this year.

.....torn biceps are a bugger to heal....that being said IF he's healthy wouldn't hurt to bring him in for a looksee...Get the straight goods from Buck ....he 'might' do us a favour for something down the road

I mean he is a legit boxer.... if he's facing senior citizens getting a fat payday lol. Anthony Joshua hasn't lived up to a fraction of his hype, but he's still a damn good HW. If only Paul would've fought him much sooner. But at least some legends got a fat payday.

I could still see the argos trying to sign him though.

Legit as in fights with absolutely no fishy business. Influencers live a life of lies and pretend and some eventually make some money out of the lies. Most of them are flat broke.

Brock Lesnar was a legit athletic freak of nature and only a guy like him would be able to walk on and get a chance with an NFL team (like he somewhat did). Jade Etienne has a better shot at cracking an NFL roster then Jake Paul in 2026.

lol yep, nothing strange at all. Idk if they all took a dive vs him, but i’m sure atleast two of his opponents did.

Brock could’ve dominated a lot of sports if he’d been in that discipline the usual amount of time. If he had been boxing even since a teen, he would’ve been on the top 10 all time in mma easily.

That data actually kind of harms the point he's trying to make. It's not that wide of a difference and it's not exactly controlled as the 2 point tries are the outliers....meaning D are also less prepared to defend 2 point plays. The data could even out if everyone went for 2 all the time and everyone was prepared for it. Most times now when it happens the D is half subbed off the field, has to get back out there etc.

The other piece is looking at it in aggregate vs game situations.

A lot of data out of American Football would tell you that you would score more points in aggregate if you never punted too. But how would you apply that to game situations? You're going to go for it on 3rd and 8 from your own 25 yard line all the time? Give the other team the ball in the redzone a bunch of times?

Derek Taylor's stats can be very annoying at times. this is one of them. You win football games by winning field position. Not by punting on thirs down. A convert is more of a guarantee than going for 2. I don't care what Taylor's stats say. How many Super Bowls has Dan Campbell won in Detroit going for it on 4th down rather than punting or kicking a field goal??

Last I checked the goal of the game is to score more points than the other team.

Going for 2 makes it more likely to happen

Not really. Theoretically you could go for it twelev times in a row before you have a successful conversion & during that time lose 3 or 4 close game before you win. No head coach in his right mind would risk a successful season just to prove a point. Well, maybe Dan Campbell would,

sometimes getting a DUI may be the best thing to happen to someone... may have prevented a future tragedy like the Dalke situation

this is the part that really sticks out to me... because the RCMP report said he was going north in the southbound lane... if he was going from Leduc to Regina (or Lumsden to Regina) he should be travelling south, yet he went north... I'm not one to jump to conclusions but it sure seems like there may have something else going on that would make him go the completely wrong direction...

Perhaps he was suicidal? Maybe he wanted to die & take somebody with him. That we will never know. The RCMP can put the details of the accident together. The autopsy report can give us a toxicology report. They may decide to take samples of Dalke's brain to study to see if he had CTE. However, they'll never be able to know what he was thinking when he was killed.

Ottawa signs Lewis Ward even though kicking has been the one area they have not struggled with.

Wonder if Lauther is hurt because he has not missed yet this season.

Weird move unless Lauther is hurt as you mentioned.

What would be the absolute max you'd give up for him?

Perhaps a merger with the CFL come 2030?

They’d be lucky to exist in 2030.

Repole is a joke. Instead of trying to build franchises up, he moves them around looking Mickey Mouse like in the process. maybe, the league just isn't viable but his ego won't allow for that alternative. It would be so great if the UFL just went away.

Soon enough....it will

Winning yes. Entertaining product tho also. I’ve never gone to games thinking if we don’t win I’m never coming again. The W isn’t guaranteed. An entertaining product worth the cost tho should be. Winnipeg currently isn’t getting that. Elks are.

Entertaining team certainly helps too. Entertaining and winning more important than the old name.

Could you imagine a week with edmonton at home, ask at home, and wpg at home, with each drawing 30k+ fans? Just need bc to have a home game and put on a concert lol.

Won’t happen this year, but if 3 teams are pulling 28-30k at home for the rest of the year that would be great for the league.

The 2026 Blue Bombers just has such a 2012/13 Tim Burke kinda vibe to it. Like Burke, Osh has no answers. Condell is Marcel Bellefeuille 2.0.
