MItchell's been in Hamilton almost 4 seasons. Two of them have been lost in their entirety to injuries. Collaros has missed time sporadically but what qb hasn't over 18 games? That's a grind.

Some one has to save zach from him self, and the mafia from them self.

We are on the verge of missing the play offs and i get this sick feeling we might once again run it back with the group that hasn’t gotten it down for years

is anyone not shocked? Osh still professes that ZC is the best in the league...Guy is a complete moron and blind to reality. We will go nowhere anytime soon if we keep him as HC....The worst thing that can happen this yr is for us to squeak into the playoffs again thru the back door....Just validates Osh and his ineptness

As for the Oline reports yesterday. Is Big Legs hurt??...or just been demoted??...Or is it Neuf possibly cant go? Regardless putting Big Legs at guard is just another in a long line of useless and brain numbing Osh decisions. The guy just aint good and one the biggest wimps for a big guy

Outside of his questionable blocking. Elsbury's snapping has been awful for weeks now.

So if elsbury is being demoted my question is... Why now? Why not weeks ago when it was obvious he wasn't getting the job done?

cause he has big legs...Maybe he atrophied??. haha...

But yeah that's what I was gonna say too....Much like it took 14 games to realize the 3 Canadian receiver's thing wasnt working...Heck as it is 2 isnt working...And they still continue to ignore Clercius over Neild who gives us our only big physical receiver who if used right would allow us a bit of grit

On the flip side tho...maybe its progress in coaches' ability to recognize talent/issues/problems...Did take 3 yrs to determine Griffin was our best SAM... Arguably prob one of our best...if not the best defensive players in terms of versatility and skill set....closely followed by Smith, which also took far too long to absorb thru their skulls....so there is that lol

Better late than never…. I guess? Probably too late, but whatever. They never replaced Kola for sucking, so maybe this is a small step.

Let’s give Eli a real chance and not crap on him the first block he misses…. Because you know there will be people here doing that.

I will say that I think Eli has been playing injured most of this year. We've used him far less then we usually do, the least since he's been up here. Could be he's just finally 100%, that said Logic isn't an oft used tool when it comes to roster management.

Oh just waiting for that actually hahah....But a real chance is a run of 2..3 games to settle in and allow his mates to get used to him...or realize they dont have to compensate

Yeah he was nursing something all yr I pretty certain...But also when has that stopped Osh from playing his fav's when they shouldnt have even dressed?...several Grey Cups come to mind....And a particularly bone headed decision to continue with a QB with his finger duct tapped on who he himself said on sidelines couldn't throw the ball let alone grip it....

If he's been hurt why's he been on the roster?

Same reason we played zach with his finger hanging off in a gc, or big stan when after he collapsed, paddy when he was badly hurt a couple years ago, brady and harris at times they could barely walk little on run. If the player is willing to play, mos assumes they will perform at the same level as if they are 100%. this has happened more times then i can count. Schoen played through two season ending injuries plus a career ending one.

No different then how mos refuses to accept that any player degrades in performance with age.

The best guess is that Elsbury is injured; otherwise, MOS wouldn't have made the change.

We don't know if he's getting demoted. He may have a minor injury keeping him out.

That should be negligence. Where the hell are our team doctors in these decisions? They should be the ones making the decisions on whether a player is healthy enough to play or not. Certainly not the player himself or the HC.

He's not out though, he's listed as the back-up.

Could be.

Elsbury has been struggling more with the snap the past month or so, this could be why as well. They have no problems starting a turnstyle at C, but when the snaps go wild they pull the plug. Kola was doing the same last year.

Either way, I will be watching Eli at C closely as well as the rest of the ol play as always. I won't be surprised if I see a good improvement right away.

Prepare for disappointment in pass pro.

I dont think its injury related....just took 15 games to recognize issues...we seem to suffer from that alot

I bet you will see less guys coming free unblocked or unnoticed as well..as I certain big legs couldn't recognize fronts and make proper calls..was pretty obvious

You aren’t kidding. I was prepared when we broke camp with big stan, and it was still worse then I hoped.

I think eli will do better at setting the line and keeping wallace in a position to succeed in pass pro. I think we will still struggle any time a rusher twists or delay stunts inside and takes a gap with speed. We will be better if some one plays nose on eli though.

Basically, I think we will see less sacks, but similar numbers of hits and pressures. Bit less disruption over all. A pocket zach can step up into, some times, instead of never.

Run game, I think will be a big improvement. So over all good improvement, but pass pro likely won’t be good enough for what zach needs at this point.

Especially against calgary. Good gravy that DL is talented.
