Might not have shown on TV but Parker was ice skating all over the field. He was often nowhere near the play because he kept blowing a tire.

2 of the biggest free agency signings were Mitchell and Jones... neither one can get a sniff on the roster and to me that speaks to a huge disconnect in how the team is being run.

We literally had a press conference held for the signing of Mitchell to introduce him. Now he’s a healthy scratch. He was also being touted as the replacement for the star we already had that we let walk. 
 

Someone needs to explain that.

I fully believe Hogan would prefer Streveler than Collaros. The Offense seems more dynamic when Streveler is in.

I’m not saying I agree or disagree but it would be very concerning if we hired an OC who prefers using the backup to the starter

It certainly seems like hes able to use a lot more motion etc with Strev. Maybe he doesn't prefer it.....but he should. 

Moving forward I dont know how they don't utilize both qbs far more.

It is baffling as I don't believe (any more) that he's injured. He's got some size (6'1") at least relative to the current receivers and he was decent for the Elk and multi-dimensional (returned kicks). A head scratcher.

It's scary when look at who the Argos were starting on OL and at QB. If they'd ground out a close win, that would be one thing. But the Bombers never even had a chance to win. And I'd say the casual fans have clued in by now.

and we didnt address or bring anyone in to shore up DT...C....or up the middle of the defence....and challenge for a spot...tho we know how that would have went any way...CHrist Thomas was signed before FA even started.....so that tells you right there his spot was cemented....and not like if we waited he would have had a mad rush to sign him...Jones too....2 yr deal before FA....Cemented as starter.....

and last 3 games...where they were literally over for most part in 3rd...not a single back-up...sub.....was given any opportunity to show what they had with meaningful reps still to be played...no 2 point convert practiced...on-side kick...any kind of trickery/fake.....nothing...just status quo we will be ok with some hearty film review and self reflection.....thats poorassed coaching anyway you wanna slice it...especially after each loss...we just came back to same well...with same group...same schemes...and same results....

Ferguson said during the broadcast that Tony Jones was the leader of our D and I was like if that's true, we're in trouble. I mean who is the leader of Toronto's D? McMannus. Montreal? Beverette. One of those things is not like the others.

Are you saying that the team doesn't make the time to practice 2pt converts, onside kickoffs, etc? If true, that's a damning indictment of the coaching staff.

No...I meant in actual game...a lot different than practice...was perfect opportunity to practice it under live bullets

We had an early indication of the way things were going to go early, when Thomas was re-upped....add to that the parting ways of some very good talent...This is a train wreck and the engineer has to leave.....How do we lose so badly, to a sad sack argo team, in such an embarrassing way...There 'HAS' to be a change NOW, before we sink further and land firmly in the basement...I felt sorry for the guys that were really putting out....Person,Vaughters, Brady and to a certain extent Demski....Zack is done and he might as well pack his bag along with osh and lets begin with that....Officially and gradually have gone from the penthouse to the outhouse...

I think you're basing your opinion on 1 game against an ill prepared BC team who is actually worse than we are. Dynamic and our offence are complete opposites.

So BC.... This is a bit confusing for me. I don't think BC is necessarily a bad team and think they are better than Toronto. And we didn't have too much trouble with BC in either game. I'm not sure if it's Schoen or Stan or what happened... But I definitely feel like we somehow became a much worse team over the course of about 4 games. It's very odd.

I think Hogan’s style of offense would work better with a mobile qb. For the most part, I’ve liked the playcalling with Streveler at qb, but the problem is that Streveler isn’t very good. He misses easy throws and isn’t very mobile anymore. 

I don’t like either of our qbs anymore, but at this point I probably would go with Streveler and hope for the best. Moot point however, as Collaros isn’t going anywhere.

I agree. To me it looks like teams have clued into schemes and/or inferior talents at some positions.

OL, Receiver, maybe DL - I can understand why there would be challenges there. But the secondary was dominant last year, while the LB corps was certainly adequate. These guys didn't suddenly forget how to play football.

Kick cover is as good as ever. The running game is solid and could be dominant if the passing game were more of a threat.

Whatever is up with the secondary needs to be sorted out. And in my opinion the offense needs to revert to a more ball control type of game. They DON'T have the OL to make ZC's beloved deep shots work consistently.

With some adjustments, this could be a .500 football team.

Rational and well said. I agree it could be a case of being "found out"... But I would hope it wouldn't happen this quickly or this easily. And Jordan Youngers D last year was perfectly fine. As you say, they didn't just forget how to play football. Very curious.

I think Hogan wants a guy that moves the ball out a lot quicker, like a Calvillo/Glenn style.  Neither of our QB's is great at that.  Streveler really struggles if moved off his first read and then he goes hero mode...which he can't really do anymore on his own.  But Streveler does get into good rhythm off tempo and moves the ball out quicker in tempo.

IMO...we don't have the right receivers to run anything that works for Collaros....or really anyone.  Sterns can get some separation and make space, but he's 5'7.  He's not running by or through anyone after the catch.  Wheatfall doesn't seem like they trust.  He screws up and they just avoid him.  But often the only guy dressed who is a real target for vertical stuff which is kind of the calling card of this era for the Bombers.  Demski has some limits, obviously can make some big plays, but can disappear if there's no other threat.  Clercius is great at Z, win those isolation routes without having to deal with traffic and move his feet too much to win.  Mitchell brings that ability to take the top off, not a whole lot else.  Him and Wheatfall can be dangerous on screens if they are confident.  Schoen, who knows, doesn't look physically capable.      

OL is up and down.  Think our Week 1 OL is the best combo, but the vets on our line week to week are consistently inconsistent.  Randolph...don't think he's won a job.  Vanterpool probably our best player on the line so far this year.

If I'm starting Streveler this week, I'd run tempo the whole game.  I'd have like 12 plays and just run the hell out of tempo, no huddle.  Inside zone read R/L, Outside zone read R/L, QB Draw, 3-4 RPO plays, 3-4 drop back passes, swap sides and route combos each pass play, change the reads so it looks different to D, short yardage pack.

Don't need to trick anyone one, just need to beat them and tire them out.

Our OL are mostly guys in their 30's. Neufeld 36, Bryant 40. Kolo 32. How long do you think they'd last?
