No issue with the depth chart here. Weitz Bailey? Honestly who cares. Weitz is prob the better sp teams player.

If he is it’s probably marginal.  But Bailey would actually offer something on defense… To a thin D line.  Not a fan of that decision.

Bailey is good on teams...Weitz is also just a teams player and that's it...and isn't elite at it...so why bother

Bailey has legit defensive reps ability and we only have 2 true ends dressed...no depth there at all but we have 11 linebackers...

 Vanterpool off sucks. Glad wallace is getting a look. Normally, Itd be good to be down to 1 back up OL, but if neuf is banged up to this would've been the case to carry the extra. Glad big kev was good to go. 

Look forward to seeing Cooley in game action. Hopefully, we use a decent few snaps, not like wasted DI's in the past. 

Roster mehnagement is same level as last week over all. 

 

 On a side note, I know we love the odd big run by strev in the goal line, and the strev package that we don't use any more. But at this point, I'd like to see wilson do the short yardage and strevy treated like a qb2.

1 ST tackle in 7 games last year. Not going to see defensive reps as the 4th string MLB.

Prior to last week people were "pumping" Chris Streveler post major injuries and referencing the time he was throwing balls for us in 2018 !!!  The success of Nick Arbuckle was way back in 2019 and yet he was able to dominate us in the biggest game of the year last season. Dru Brown has three consecutive 400+ yard passing games and a record of 1 - 2... so does that mean he sucks based on your logic?  

History has shown that Masoli can move the ball against us ,  way more so then Rourke all while playing on much crappier teams.   I'm hoping that Masoli is shot and we blow them away but it would be ignorant to suggest that we can't take him seriously based on assumptions that he is a cripple who can't throw anymore based on limited garbage time coming off the bench cold as a back up.

shocked he was back this yr actually....Mauro offered us more than Weitz and we let him walk for whatever reason

I liked what Vanterpool gave us...but that being said Wallace has showed he can play and belongs....helps our roster ratio wise and at this point needs to play and grow..so I'm ok with it. Vanterpool definately is part of the future tho...and imagine the options if Manu lands in our lap next yr...it's his make or break this yr down south...so could happen

If we designate 2 Canadians for ratio on defense and 5 on offence then Cooley can come in freely and be in a split backfield with Peterson so like that option. 

If Wallace fares well, Cooley continues to show what he did,  we could possibly see BO....Cooley....Peterson...MCI all on roster for game 3...be an interesting group of guys in your RB group for Hogan and Jackson, and imagine Logan added to that mix in Vaval spot if they go that route

I believe they benched Maruo for free lancing on teams when we were running some really bad cover schemes. 
 I liked him better too. I mean, he’s a cfl sts caliber end of the roster guy. Weitz is tcf. 
 

Yeah I’m pretty torn on being bummed that vanterpool is out but excited that Wallace gets the start. 
 

This is a big test for hogan early. Let’s see how he used an offensive di, and a bench guy whose a threat.

Just more of the same osh man rush crap that makes zero sense.

Sure it may not kill us...but it again takez away the ability to roster our best roster...and eliminate any valuable experience to our actual guys who can play and then when really needed they arent green and prone to errors...like we have seen the refusal to play them as I sure part of reason because they not 100 percent comfortable with them so we play a positional group with zero depth...or injured guys who are useless...and we all have seen the results of that thinking when it mattered most

lol. Once again. Context seems to escape you. Yes people were talking about Strevelers ability to throw and using 2018 as an example. Not because that showed he could win against BC. But because it showed he can throw in the CFL. Nick Arbuckle threw for 252 yrds 2tds and 2ints in the grey cup. He did not dominate anything. He game managed his way through that GC, which is exactly what he needed to do. His Defense dominated. 

Masoli has played 1 qtr against this team. His work specifically against the Bombers in 2022 is pointless. Not only does he not play for the team he had limited "success" with against the bombers, the Defensive scheme the Bombers use now is different.

Masoli has shown he can throw in the CFL. He has not shown any kind of ability to dominate or even win against the 2025 Blue Bombers with limited playing time.

T.O out time possesioned us by a horrible amount...they came in with a good coaching plan...adjusted when had to and had their best roster 

I have always said especially in that cup we were out coached..had a poor plan and didnt adjust...plus we had not our best options on roster 

Main reason we lost...some players sure may have seemed to not show up..or played bad...that's about coaching too...were they not properly prepared? Put in best positions to succeed? A lot goes into it..and the ZC decision after he got hurt was just icing on the cake...or nails in the coffin..take your pick...but our coaching staff cost us that game on several levels

Lions depth chart shows Rourke as 3rd QB with GTD designation.

Surely they wouldn't think about throwing an injured Rourke up against a Bombers team that has always had his number after a week of barely practicing but who knows

The only thing that makes sense to me is that Bailey isn't 100 percent (maybe a nagging injury from TC. He was hurt at one point) and they are being cautious with him.

Castillo, Vaval, Ayers and Griffin will be the DI's.

I don't get it either. Maybe Bailey is taking a bit of time to understand where he needs to be and what he needs to do and doesn't have their trust yet? He is fresh out of school.

Cooley has that dog in him, as the kids would say. Haven’t seen an imp rb with powerful size and that mentality in a while.  They guy is not going to be a joy to try and tackle. 
 At some point some one probably tries to lower the boom on him and ends up picking up their own teeth.

That’d normally be a good bet, but dl don’t generally get that. Last year adams came out of low levels of ncaa with a couple days at camp then played ps and quickly was playing heavy reps.

Forget about a possible Online drop-off. Pretty sure that our 6th man can support if needed. 

After the loss BC suffered last week, I just want our receivers to keep their wits about them. Cheap shot artists like Awe and Edward’s-Cooper like to make their mark in games like this.
