2025 CFL (Non-Bombers) Season

From 3DN about TSN broadcasts this year....

"The CFL on TSN is taking a renewed approach to its broadcasts for 2025.

The network’s panel will travel to all nine stadiums over the course of the upcoming season, sources told 3DownNation, including visits to Regina and Montreal in Week 1. Kate Beirness is returning to host the panel with Henoc Muamba and Davis Sanchez filling the main roles alongside her.

Paul LaPolice will also frequently appear on the panel, though he will also perform colour commentary for one game per week. As previously reported, longtime panelist and Hall of Fame quarterback Matt Dunigan is no longer with the network.

As for Milt Stegall, who has been with the network since 2009, there is no timeline for his return after the death of his eldest son, Chase. The 20-year-old died unexpectedly at DePaul University on Monday where he was a member of the school’s soccer team.

“Our CFL on TSN family is absolutely devastated over Chase’s passing. If you know Milt, you know that his family is everything to him, and we cannot imagine the pain he is going through right now,” said producer Chris Edwards in a statement to 3DownNation. “Milt is our brother and we are going to give him our love and support him in any way we can, and in whatever way he needs.”

During a broadcast teeing up the 2025 season on Tuesday, TSN dedicated its coverage this year to Chase’s memory.

TSN plans to flesh out the panel by rotating in active players, though it doesn’t appear as though this will happen every week. Players will generally make panel appearances during bye weeks, though there may also be opportunities for in-studio appearances when players are in town to play the Argonauts or Tiger-Cats.

Friday Night Football, a longtime network staple, will have a brand new presentation featuring fresh animations, graphics, and music. One source called the scope of the production “bigger.”

The play-by-play personnel at the network has remained unchanged for 2025, featuring Rod Smith, Dustin Nielson, Marshall Ferguson, and occasionally Farhan Lalji. Colour commentary will be performed by Glen Suitor, Duane Forde, and LaPolice."

Honestly the main selling point of the CFL are the timing rules of the final 3 minutes.  And arguably the most boring part of any NFL game when a team with a one score lead can just bleed the clock un

Riders are definitely experts on diving at unsuspecting players knees illegally so maybe this is just game recognizing game

Riders culture has been one of spoiled assholes for a long time. Always making dirty plays and whining it's not dirty.

He has a case of whataboutism.

For the people who played/coached football at a high level, I'm assuming they'd have a perspective on what's allowable/tolerated and what's not allowable when it comes to football violence because it's a violent sport.

before High shots and head hits were almost coached....if not applauded....times have changed abd for the better.....but back in the day many a player/team looked to knock guys outta the game....within the grey constriants of the rules...But the change is good

As for this claim guys right after the play diving at his knees...thats a pile of B.S and coming from a player in a position who has a big part of their game consist of knee and shin diving as a tactic....shutthafuckup

I recall a defensive coach telling us when we in pursuit and having to hurdle guys on ground that he better see a kick in the ribs or we would hear about it.....and if you saw a hand on the ground it better get stepped on....

always told us "let em know your there" Oh how things have changed....funtimes tho

Metal buckles on the snaps of your helmet for your chin guard....filed to a knife edge for cutting....literal gladiator type stuff....and the obscene stuff in the piles for shirt yardage....tho that still goes on now a bit but nit as criminal as it was before

Yea thanks, things have gotten better for sure but two things come to mind right away with football violence, Kickoff returns and what's going on in those short yardage/goal line piles. Yikes!

This just in. Cj Reavis confirms that he is an ******* who doesn't take responsibility for his actions.

CJ Marino needs to be out of this league. This is two QB now he has targeted with dirty hits and injured. We didn't the original Marino more rope than that. There is no place in pro football for players who behave like this.

I didn't notice that Reavis was fined already this season for a high hit on Rourke. So probably the case that this is almost entirely a repeat offender thing no?

RIP. Good dude. In a way it’s fitting he passed today so the Ticats can honour him with his former club present.

Ted Goveia was the glue that held our front office together for so many years. He was not only a bird dog for us, but was instrumental in many of our player re-signings and signings. I was very concerned when we lost him, and am saddened by this news. The Hamilton TiCats lost a very good GM, and the CFL lost one of it`s best bird dogs for talent.

Did they forget to tell people in BC that there is a game on tonight, BC Place is empty

Call me crazy...but Edm looks head and shoulders better than us

They have a (rookie) HC who was willing to acknowledge things (Ford) weren't working as they'd hoped so they made a change (Fajardo) and look what's happened for them.

Elks turned it around when they put Tre Ford on the bench

Imagine eh...

Kongbo too looks just fine there...be a nice national piece to allow us to dress 4 ends...and import dline help...and rotate em all inside and out

Shades of when we got pressure in 2019 and 2021

Dinwiddie pulling an obviously limited Arbuckle for his backup...down by 3

Is osh taking notes?

4 sacks in 2 games now for Kongbo.

He's active and draws attention...aids his mates

And nice to see what a strong dline does for you not loaded with national slugs...just created a defensive td for Argos....5 of the 7...imports who can play

In watching this game I was struck by the enthusiasm and enjoyment BOTH teams were displaying, and how that differed from the often grim effort the Bombers have shown lately. It seems to me that this likely arises from the lack of confidence the team has and the probable frustration they feel from knowing they could do better, even with the diminished talent.

Arbuckle has a calf strain, so Doege will start for the Argos this week against Als.

Dinwiddie's ability to roll with a backup QB  gets another test this week.

https://3downnation.com/2025/09/16/toronto-argonauts-expected-to-start-qb-jarret-doege-against-montreal-alouettes-report/

thats a good thing...we need T.O to lose and desperately need to beat Ottawa to keep a few games between us and them as we are likely gonna have to cross over.....and that prob our best route for any success in post season as we aont winning 2 on the road in the west unless both teams ahead of us lose their starting Q.B and maybe some other key piece...and even then, I cant see success attainable

Maybe we become the first crosover team to make it in history...into our own barn too....that be a good story after all this crappola
