I don't think anyone in the last 3 years could beat out Brady for a starters job. and was behind Harris before that....was a solid guy in the end....and didnt hurt you when he needed to step in....how that would projected as the bell cow...who knows....but guy was nowhere near being a bust by any stretch....he was a complimentary piece on a team outside the starting 12 on offence like 2/3rds of every other teams roster johnzo, rebusrankin and Bigblue204 1 2

Far better backs have have more over larger sample sizes and been cut. Small sample size ypc is meaningless. Bigblue204 1
Goalie Posted Thursday at 10:27 PM Report Posted Thursday at 10:27 PM (edited) Augustine over rated. Streveler under rated. Wild. If Augustine wasn’t a good teams player he’d be out the league long time ago. Signed with Hamilton. Likely to not get reps. Edited Thursday at 10:28 PM by Goalie

Augustine was given the same money as Brady at one point, (and making more than other starters in the league) and is a career 200 yard per season rusher over 6 seasons. Augustine played teams for barely a year and a half. He became solid at it in the end, which is a small piece of his career. We’ve seen worse Canadians get a lot more chances than they should have many times in the league. Hamilton went after all our ex players. I wouldn’t be stunned if at some point they go after dole now lol.

It’s bizarre to say the least. But it’s kind of status quo. Booch 1
bluto Posted yesterday at 12:13 PM Report Posted yesterday at 12:13 PM Mike Hogan's annual Inside The War Room piece is up. He spends draft day with the Argos player department and does a revealing writeup every year. Certain rules apply, ie: he isn't allowed to talk specifically about trades that don't get over the line or players who they don't draft but wanted. It was of particular interest to us this season since Vince Magri moved on to the Bills, we didn't know if it was all Murphy and Dinwiddie or what... Turns out it was an internal promotion of Video/Scouting/QC Coach Marcus Grandison. Sounds like he played a big role too. https://www.argonauts.ca/2025/05/01/hogan-inside-the-argos-war-room-3/ Booch 1

If the league put it self out there more and gave fans all the stuff they don’t want to share, they would create a huge vacuum for the target demographic. I know no team would want to be that open, but if they want to break the norm it will take great discomfort. I’m not talking about teams bad mouthing players they don’t like, but being open about what they do like about who they like. Competitively, it comes to pass fairly quickly after the draft that each team knows who the other teams liked. And it doesn’t really matter at that point any way. rebusrankin 1

They also split carries the first six games of that year. Guy just isn't a starter. He was/is fast in a straight line but neither explosive off the line or capable of making a deke. rebusrankin 1
