GDT 3 pm: Victory Day

Any day in Regina is a good day to win, even with all our rookies out in full force. It’s all a matter of pride.

Today I want to watch (through my radio) three things:

Eric Barrierre at quarterback. I want to see if his credentials have anything to do with the Bomber’s future. I fully expect we will have four QB’s kicking around at season open. He might become the new “lady in waiting”!

Chidi Okeke at right tackle. I want to see if he’s the new apprentice that we are hoping for, that might be a key cog in our Hog Heaven. I expect In a better we will be starting Lofton at RT as the season starts.

Our linebacker schemes. I’m assuming Kyrie Wilson will be one of the two middle linebackers in a basic 4=4=4 defensive structure. Outside of Gauther, I want to see who/what else we can put in those middle two spots. Are they going to take a peek at Brandon Alexander there,  or is he just too small? This is the one place that we look just too skinny. This is THE one big challenge for our new defensive coordinator, methinks...

I don’t care how much the coaches say it doesn’t matter who wins. To me it matters, kind of a lot. Beating the Roughie’s will set the tone not only for our rookies, but for our vets at home too. Preseason does matter for a lot more than just player evaluation.

Small sample but Wilson looking better. Couple of nice throws. Looking more relaxed and confident - in command. Like him.

If we put the right guys out there..I can see our front 7 being really strong...with better than adequate coverage with backups/depth...as long as said depth/backups aren't recipients of the reward system from previous yrs and block all that talent

Garbut-fox-Lawson-willy Habba back up

Cole kyrie Moses petrishen back up

deadly front.

return game nonexistent........horrendous

He is making quick reads and mostly good decisions.

Barriere looks like me when I try to build in Fortnite.

I only caught the second half and oh bananas that was a stink-a-thon! Fingers crossed the first half wasn't such a snooze-fest, even for a preseason game that was more meh than marvelous.

Strevy good. Barry-eh real bad. Terry also bad but better.

front 6 was really good. Especially fox/lawson, rivers and garbutt, Moses plus gemmel petrishen and Ayer’s. schmekel too

Yeah Petrishen should be  PR guy for sure

What I liked about Moses is considering he a raw rookie..he was seeing what he should and where he needed to be

Wilson looked good there...nice

Yeah. I’d di a de and lber for now. Always good to have a spare for a rookie. Honestly most of the imp beers have been solid at worst. But that says a lot about our Jake Thomas free dl.

Well if nothing else at least today we saw a nice sack by Liam Dobson, a quick handoff to Jake Kelly and some tight coverage by Chris-Ike

👌

Nice TD throw by Wilson. Good for him. Nice athletic play from the qb. Clercius looks good.

Wilson looks like a QB...pocket poise...moves nice to get in a throwing position..

I hope petrishen and Moses get decent sts look next week after their main reps are done.

Looks like a guy ready to develop for sure. Hope he gets a bit next week.

Coverage team is in mid season form.

How do we go from elite to complete garbage in a matter of 1 yr...and it has festered ever since ??

Bombers more than held their own with Streveler just hitting stride before getting sat down.  Starting D was fast and effective.  The rest pretty meh with not a lot to go on due to very poor qb play.

Sheahan’s normal punting was pretty good… too bad our ST coach was allowed to go rogue all last year.

For all the talk about a renewed focus on discipline, Riders still look have have d-bag vibe to them.

Huebert has wheels

I'd start ZC...Let him get what he needs...then roll with Wilson...let Barry clean up 4th quarter...and use Strev just to get in the short yardage groove...

Blackmon looking slow

Yeah he looked like he was slowing down instead of gaining speed
