GDT 3 pm: Victory Day

Any day in Regina is a good day to win, even with all our rookies out in full force. It’s all a matter of pride.

Today I want to watch (through my radio) three things:

Eric Barrierre at quarterback. I want to see if his credentials have anything to do with the Bomber’s future. I fully expect we will have four QB’s kicking around at season open. He might become the new “lady in waiting”!

Chidi Okeke at right tackle. I want to see if he’s the new apprentice that we are hoping for, that might be a key cog in our Hog Heaven. I expect In a better we will be starting Lofton at RT as the season starts.

Our linebacker schemes. I’m assuming Kyrie Wilson will be one of the two middle linebackers in a basic 4=4=4 defensive structure. Outside of Gauther, I want to see who/what else we can put in those middle two spots. Are they going to take a peek at Brandon Alexander there,  or is he just too small? This is the one place that we look just too skinny. This is THE one big challenge for our new defensive coordinator, methinks...

I don’t care how much the coaches say it doesn’t matter who wins. To me it matters, kind of a lot. Beating the Roughie’s will set the tone not only for our rookies, but for our vets at home too. Preseason does matter for a lot more than just player evaluation.

Maybe? That's a mercy keep

Nah he’s a blue chipper. He’s just having a rough time adjusting to pro speed.

I just wonder how you keep him considering the guys that have actually shown well and will contribute this year

He's all over the field...he finds the plays..they don't find him

Both the interceptions were thrown basically right to the rider. Quite something. Wilson couldn’t be worse.

You generally keep a 4th qb on the pr. You dress 3. We have 3 with terry.

La Derriere def looks like shittyVA...not to be unexpected but be hard to keep him as development if Wilson shows anything and that he can move the offense and make reads...from sounds of it he putting in the work

Decent half all things considered...we got some serious pieces on defense...Smith I think has a place...Reciever Wilson and #29 impressed...Rosery too...the Strev effect is gonna be big as well...especially when he does what he does...and has BO..Demski..Schoen...Lawler..Woli and whomever out there with him

Good half for our guys. Very happy with a lot of performances.

Riders starters vs our mostly D starters is what I wanted to see... Pleasantly surprised with Strev. Feel bad for Barriere... Doesn't look ready. Stoked for Haba, Garbutt and Fox to be starters.

Mitchell Wilson case all looking decent on O. Smith looks good returning. D players really standing out tho.

Honestly have seen more jam from some of the prospects on D then we did all of last preseason.

Not much from the offense, but we have less spots open there anyways.

And truthfully...parts of the season too...youth...hunger...energy...nothing given but earned...that's what you get

Garbutt, Smith, and Rosery the 3 stars of the half for me

Garbutt Moses/thomas/gemmel and Strev for me.

Barriere needs to show something for him to stick around on the PR.

cuz right now I think you cut him and bring someone else in for the PR.

those 2 picks were just really bad.

Smith looks good at kr so far too.

The whole front really looked good.
