Here come the fascists:

We are not ready to deal with Christofascists.

And yet, these same jackholes are perfectly fine with the Bible in schools, even though it condones slavery, incest, genocide, human sacrifice and even has literary porn in it.

Sounds like the action of someone carrying a personal grudge who's not acting in the public interest.

Whether or not this person thinks they are acting in the public interest is a matter of opinion I would think. I think if you were to ask this person he would think exposing Wab at a time it could cost him power is definitely in the public interest

If it’s so big then why don’t you just spill the details now? You have the forum here.

It's not my story to tell, and I don't have all the details. I just know from a person very closely associated that it is big and it is going to sewer Wab directly and Nahanni indirectly. Don't know much more than that. However, my source is very good and is both extremely well connected and astute politically.

Is it this?  (from reddit):

I saw Wab Kinew at a grocery store in Osbourne yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a ****** and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Not even remotely. This isn't some twitter bash garbage. It's big, and it has documentation and evidence to support it.

That group is linked to Action4Canada which spouts a lot of nonsense on their website.

This non-sense usually starts in AB, every rabbit hole leads to the den of either Harper or Manning.

Here is a tidbit from that website.

"Matthew Trewhella, pastor and author, joins Tanya on the Empower Hour to discuss his book, The Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrates. “The lesser magistrate is an old term referring to any in civil government with authority, either elected or appointed” (ie. School board trustee/superintendent, mayor/councillor, MLA/MPP, MP, police, pastors). There isn’t a more important book, other than the Bible, that provides the kind of instruction currently needed to effectively and swiftly dismantle the agenda of corrupt civil servants, in order to maintain our God-given unalienable rights.

The Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrate, “declares that when the superior or higher civil authority makes unjust/immoral laws or decrees, the lesser or lower ranking civil authority has both a right and duty to refuse obedience to that superior authority. If necessary, the lesser authorities even have the right and obligation to actively resist the superior authority.” They have a responsibility to protect the innocent and oppose those who made unjust laws or decrees, when it conflicts with God’s law."

I do wonder if this entire movement isn't linked to the emergence of the "mega-churches" that spawned in the mid 80's.  Anyone a member of one of these cults?

Cameron Friesen lost the Portage-Lisgar nomination to an anti-vaxxer....a vocal anti-vaxxer.  From the Free Press website:

Former finance minister loses federal nomination bid

Carol SandersPosted: 11:02 AM CDT Monday, May. 1, 2023Last Modified: 12:39 PM CDT Monday, May. 1, 2023 | Updates

After resigning as Manitoba’s finance minister and his provincial seat in the legislature to run for the federal Conservative nomination in Portage-Lisgar, Cameron Friesen has lost the nomination to Branden Leslie.

“Our campaign message was about experience, results and deep roots in the riding,” Friesen said in a post after losing the nomination Saturday.

He resigned as the MLA for Morden-Winkler in February to seek the federal Conservative nomination in the seat vacated by Candice Bergen, the former interim federal Conservative party leader, who is now the provincial Progressive Conservative party’s election campaign co-chair.

Friesen lost to Leslie, Bergen’s former campaign manager and Grain Growers of Canada manager of policy and government relations. Leslie has billed himself as the “right Conservative” for the socially conservative rural riding.

Friesen did not say what he plans to do next.

“We ran a campaign about ideas and looking forward instead of back, a campaign about moving beyond the divisions that linger in our communities. I am incredibly proud of the campaign team and volunteers who worked so hard, proud of the message we delivered, and humbled by the many supporters who rallied around us,” Friesen said.

Look familiar?  Can't wait for the Christmas family photo.

There you have it, clear as day. Healthy skepticism matched with high levels of critical thinking that takes into consideration the complexities, backgrounds and experiences of very heterogenous communities:

Corrupt civil servants, basically antichrists, are taking away our God-Given unalienable rights. We need to resist this superior authority because it conflicts with God's Law. Church must lead state to protect the innocent.

Oh yea, one is being divisive and living in an echo chamber if this is not being taken serious as a viable platform to help our communities.

Big like selling 31 million dollars worth of assets and not reporting it?

That is just a misdemeanor, this is going to have Wab scrambling to save himself and ergo his party. It will be a dagger through the heart of his already questionable reputation. I am not sure if this will lead to jail time or not, I don't have the details, but it has been described to me as something no politician can ever come back from.

Murdering the PC's vote chances in Winnipeg is not a crime.

I couldn't imagine spewing such hyperbolic garbage on a sports forum without so much as iota of evidence.

For shame.

It's a Manitoba politics thread, don't want politics on a sports forum talk to Rich to get rid of the sub-forum.

You've already stated that you don't understand why this "person" is planning to do "this" this way.  So you don't think this person is acting rationally - therefore this person is not rational.

We agree on one thing.

It's not that he doesn't want politics on a sports forum, I think it was more the "hyperbolic garbage... without so much as iota of evidence" part that he has an issue with.

Right? The book of Genesis alone has some of the most disturbing descriptions I’ve read in my life.
There was no problem with 9 year olds reading that at the Bible Camp I was misled into attending as a kid.
Funnily enough, they confiscated my SI ‘97 NFL Preview because it had sports betting ads in it.

There are so many good faith people from all walks of lives and religions I so admire up close and from afar but not so much admiration for others who use religion and faith to spew nonsense and hide behind to do their bad deeds.

I remember passing this church and seeing this on their billboard:

'When in doubt choose faith over understanding'.

I think some misuse/misinterpret this mindset in certain scenarios and on certain issues.
