  • I liked the part where @SpeedFlex27 quoted himself so he could regale us with his illustrious curling memoir.

  • Whether he comes back to Winnipeg or not, Strev will be a Bombers legend for life, after that playoff run (and all he did within it) and the post championship celebration... Afaic, he is a Bomber for

If he sticks for 4-ish years, even without becoming a regular starter, he could make enough money to retire. IF he is fiscally wise. And if he doesn't have that burning desire to play football. Neither of which is a tremendous chance imo. If he doesn't become a starter down there, I think he will be up here.

The only real move could be if he forces a trade, which I think has happened a time or two but it is rare. And as it is, he would be better served coming here if his NFL window closes. Marty is extremely prolific as an OL coach. Over the next couple years he'd have a much better path to playing here, coaching, and mentorship.

For another year or two. He may play in the CFL but I doubt we'll see him in a Bomber uniform.

We drafted him. We own his CFL rights in perpetuity.

Yeah but if i guess says he's not going to sign here, we have limited options.  It's rare but has happened.  Corey Mace did that to us back in the day and never played a snap for us.

It's obvious  Manu plus Zach for Rourke. Note this is a joke.

True. His loss in that case. We can trade him or tell him to retire then like we did with Mulumba

For 4 years we had daily & monthly updates on Mulamba & Bikudi(?) ... "They're COMING!!!!" They'd all scream on Our Bombers (please shut up, not again!!!) when Mulamba & the other dude both got kicked off yet another NFL PR. Yeah, well they both stayed in the NFL practicing for years & never played in either league.

Might be the case with Manu as well if he stays South for an extended period. Mulumba tried to force us to trade him, we told him to retire. If Manu is a quitter like Mulumba he can do the same, if he wants to play it's with us OR we trade him on our terms.

That would go under the category of weird professional football career.

christo bilukidi, boy we had some drafts back then eh lol

Winnipeg is more affordable for a cfl player than Vancouver tho. The money goes farther here. Honestly I’d avoid bc Toronto and Montreal if I was a player coming up to play in Canada or even grew up here. Not every player tho wants to play in his hometown. Dude is off in Detroit which is closer to Winnipeg than Vancouver right now.

That was the worst. Years of fans wishing they'd show up.

Look up Mulamba & Bilukudi in any CFL & NFL stats book. See if you can even find them. They led both leagues in Most Invisible & I Don't Give A **** categories.

I have no idea if it's common, I don't follow it anywhere near to know but when it does happen it reminds me that $$$ trumps actually seeing the playing field. I write that with nuetrality in my tone.

Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver also have a million times better night life and city vibe.  Some players want to do more then just sitting in a hotel room.

Did you hear star NFL receiver Puka Nacua complain he couldn't afford to buy a house in LA while riding in a limo with friends??

You want a house? Start saving money, kid. You're making a million dollars US a year playing for the Rams. Limos & expensive carrying cases for your shoes won't cut it.

A bar is a bar in Winnipeg and Toronto. Same **** really. You know what they also have more of? Meth heads. So I guess you’d be sitting in your hotel huh.

If you think the nightlife in Winnipeg is remotely comparable, you've clearly never been to any of those places.

He could be a trade asset if he really doesn't want to play in Winnipeg.

Going back over the years and looking back at the hold out names we drafted, that didn't work out, how about the obvious one sitting on the tsn panel Henoc Muamba....We wined and dined the guy and his family...bent over backwards to sign him ,then he did a tour of the CFL AND suddenly signed with Montreal....I still have problems with this guy, whenever I see him mouthing it up on games

My buddies and I (somewhat jokingly) talk **** about him every time we see him on the panel for this very reason...
