Truth be known, Billy Redden was a teenager at the time. He couldn't play the banjo. he certainly looks the part of a backwoods Georgian inbred child. Considering his background now he just might be. Although, it's always been denied. They found another teenager who was like a virtuoso banjo player. They strapped Redden to the banjo player with his arms behind his back. Then when it came to play the part, Redden just pretended to play using facial expressions to sell himself playing while the other kid strapped behind him actually did.

I doubt that "Deliverance" would never be made today. Even in 1972, it was a cringe worthy motion picture. I've never been able to get through it in one shot. Very uncomfortable to watch.

People always think that, but modern movies have some outrageous content, just not main stream movies. The ability for low budget movie makers to find a crowd now is way easier with all the streaming services. The free and niche services from tubi to shudder have some pretty out there stuff

Meant that the winters in Edmonton & Winnipeg are virtually similar.

I would argue Edmonton's winters are longer and a bit colder.

I agree but it's Winnipeg on players NTL. The only thing that saves Edmonton is the chance to play with McDavid & Draisaitl.

@SpeedFlex27 this one's for you.

Thanks. Mini Mack was an incredibly talented player who came from a tough background of poverty in Chicago whose lifestyle caught up with him. First as a pro with the Bombers when he was suspended & then after his retirement  as a pro football player. He was a life long gang banger who spent more time in jail than he did outside the institutions that held him. RIP Mack Herron.

Oilers on NTL also.

I’ll be honest. I don’t think Kenny lawler and milt in his prime make a difference to this garbage O. Hogan needs to go.

In 1997, Milt had over 1600 receiving yards on a team with Chris Vargas and Kevin McDougal as the QBs with no other threat at receiver. He'd make a difference.

Hogan needs to go though, you are 100% correct.

True enough about the GOAT tho.

He was the only reason to go to games that year. I mean Reinbold on OB after the game and his overuse of the word, warrior, especially after a 20+point beatdown was funny but it was mainly 85.

I vaguely remember reinbold rolling in to his introductory pc on his Harley or something. I think me and my buds all liked the guy. He was cool to us for some reason at that time. I think honestly reinbold era was my first games I remember going to as a fan. I went to ones with parents when a bit younger but reinbold I remember. TJ Rubley is a QB I remember. Not sure if that’s reinbold or not. Possibly.

Dude looked good on the highlights. There’s potential there for him and if it don’t work out I’d think he’d be a quick learner here. Looked better than Streveler lol. Well thrown balls for sure.

No sympathy from me. The guy was very good but there's a reason his nickname was Smack Heroin.

Looks like the UFL is critically failing again.  4 teams, the former usfl division, are being relocated with no plans or destinations yet. Lots of other speculation's circulating as well. Likely the end of the UFL.

There is a billionaire that has stepped in to be a partner in the league.

He is supposedly going to be involved with the league's direction.

That should add a couple of years to its existence.
