  • I liked the part where @SpeedFlex27 quoted himself so he could regale us with his illustrious curling memoir.

  • Whether he comes back to Winnipeg or not, Strev will be a Bombers legend for life, after that playoff run (and all he did within it) and the post championship celebration... Afaic, he is a Bomber for

Meant that the winters in Edmonton & Winnipeg are virtually similar.

I would argue Edmonton's winters are longer and a bit colder.

I agree but it's Winnipeg on players NTL. The only thing that saves Edmonton is the chance to play with McDavid & Draisaitl.

My earliest Bomber memories were of Mack Herron. This is the 1st time I've seen NFL footage of him. Thanks for posting this.

@SpeedFlex27 this one's for you.

Thanks. Mini Mack was an incredibly talented player who came from a tough background of poverty in Chicago whose lifestyle caught up with him. First as a pro with the Bombers when he was suspended & then after his retirement  as a pro football player. He was a life long gang banger who spent more time in jail than he did outside the institutions that held him. RIP Mack Herron.

Oilers on NTL also.

I’ll be honest. I don’t think Kenny lawler and milt in his prime make a difference to this garbage O. Hogan needs to go.

In 1997, Milt had over 1600 receiving yards on a team with Chris Vargas and Kevin McDougal as the QBs with no other threat at receiver. He'd make a difference.

Hogan needs to go though, you are 100% correct.

True enough about the GOAT tho.

He was the only reason to go to games that year. I mean Reinbold on OB after the game and his overuse of the word, warrior, especially after a 20+point beatdown was funny but it was mainly 85.

I vaguely remember reinbold rolling in to his introductory pc on his Harley or something. I think me and my buds all liked the guy. He was cool to us for some reason at that time. I think honestly reinbold era was my first games I remember going to as a fan. I went to ones with parents when a bit younger but reinbold I remember. TJ Rubley is a QB I remember. Not sure if that’s reinbold or not. Possibly.

Looks like the UFL is critically failing again.  4 teams, the former usfl division, are being relocated with no plans or destinations yet. Lots of other speculation's circulating as well. Likely the end of the UFL.

Dude looked good on the highlights. There’s potential there for him and if it don’t work out I’d think he’d be a quick learner here. Looked better than Streveler lol. Well thrown balls for sure.

No sympathy from me. The guy was very good but there's a reason his nickname was Smack Heroin.

There is a billionaire that has stepped in to be a partner in the league.

He is supposedly going to be involved with the league's direction.

That should add a couple of years to its existence.

Badly miss him? Lol, what a joke. Walters disembowled our receiving corps. In a Grey Cup hosting year, too. Refuses to spend any money. The fanbase is giving the team profits like they've never seen & that's the thanks we get.

Faster release than any of our QBs have flashed. That makes me optimistic and sad at the same time lol. That's exactly how you hope a guy who has to really get used to a faster game speed will respond. Now, we just need to see him get about 10x more pre season snaps in the NFL lol.

Same guys who were gonna save the XFL3.0/UFL in the first place, and the XFL had a billionaire owner each time it failed. I've got no confidence in redbird/rock etc. If they had a plan worth any thing, they would've announced part of it with the exodus of an entire division to reduce some of the blow back.

our ace in the hole is he is a Canadian who came from a Canadian school....and had zero U.S ball experience

Pretty much the death blow to any prospect...especially so for a Q.B....We may see him next yr.....worst case for 2027 season is my guess

I remember I was 18 sitting in one of my two season ticket seats that were on the 55 yard line in Section V at Winnipeg Stadium. We were in the middle of an 8 game losing streak in 1973. There was this BC Lions fan who was enjoying the Bombers getting beat up on the field as we plummetted to last place in the West that season after Earl Lunsford tore apart our first place team from 1972 much like Kyle Walters did this past off season. The guy was loving the fact that Stan Brown took over from a departed Mack Herron. Brown was no Mack Herron, that's for sure averaging a bit over 4 yards a carry. He kept yelling out, "Where's "Smack Heroin??" all game long. Finally, by the beginning of the 4th quarter I couldn't take it any longer & told that hosebag to shut his effing mouth. I was ready for him to jump at me wanting to fight. He never did. He sat down & never said another word. I wanted him to come at me but he didn't. POS Lions fan.
