CFL Week 2 Games (Non-Bombers) Thread

Tonight, BC @ Calgary (Calgary -1.5)

Rourke starting per depth chart, for what that's worth.  Mike Reilly was limited in practice all week and is questionable to play, but is listed as the backup. For what that's worth.

Takeru Yamasaki remains at PK after missing two short field goals and a convert in the game the Lions lost by 4; the Lions do have import kicker Stefan Flintoff on their practice roster.

For the Stamps, Ka'deem Carey returns at starting tailback after a horrendous fourth quarter that sparked the Argo comeback last week.

Whoever books this stuff has Calgary favored by a measly 1.5 points, which seems kinda low to me, but I am not much of a gambler.

cfl.ca was 6-0 Stamps
MBB was 37-3 Stamps

Just like those tall brains above, I picked Calgary in the pickems, which means that Rourke will absolutely go off on them and the Lions will cruise 45-18.  I have a perfect record to preserve!

I don't understand why people are shitting on the rider fans that come to this board - of course they are going to pump the tires of their team when they are doing well... They are not being rude or i

  • Last home team to win a home game in Alberta……..   The Winnipeg Blue Bombers

  • As it was,  as it is, and as it ever shall be.

Are we just not calling illegal blocks to the back in the cfl this year

Not with the lack of discipline the riders are showing right now.

True

cant wait

Apart from what 4 stripe fans will say tonight is not the Grey Cup final

Evans should have come in way earlier.  Not sure what Hamilton was thinking. Masoli could be wearing an Ottawa uniform soon. Lol

I was thinking have we ever had a ldc where both teams were un beaten thatd be wild.

Riders are home to Ottawa next week then a bye, Bombers in Toronto and home to the Stamps before they meet, so entirely feasible.

Coach o should talk to Dane. He's trying to score 19 points and win the starting job back with each pass.

Discipline is not a hallmark of this particular game....

14/143yrds in penalties for the Riders so far….

5/73 plus whatever just happened for Hamilton.

yikes

If I'm Medlock and thinking about coming back I'm setting my price

The bye will be big if it allows the riders to get healthy. If not and if the Bombers are healthy I think the added polish from the extra game will be big for us.

If I'm the Bombers I'd give him what ever he wants.

Smooth Jimmy Apollo wants a Powell TD for Lock of the Week. Well, I do anyway.

Claire Hanna gives me a headache

Yes I had high hopes that during the layoff she secured other employment or moved from Canada's armpit but no such luck.

He took a lick on that one. He needs to learn when to run and when to save his body.

The riders should be looking to get Paxton in soon

Not sure the Rider fans want to see Fajardo running QB draw plays this late in the game, or even see him still in the game period, for that matter.

I said the same thing in the Montreal game. Why was Adams running with the ball so late in the 4th?!?

It's some thing mobile qbs especially sophomores have to really have driven home.

Dumpster firecats

Doesn’t matter who Hamilton has as QB lol

Achy breaky banks

Hamilton is checked out and half way home mentally. Which is why Fajardo should be out.

Maybe

but Fajardo is good

Go to moves this year:

Willie Jefferson - play the guitar after a turnover

Kyran Moore - the funky chicken after a TD

BC kicker - “oops“ grin after another shanked 25 yard FG

BLM - post game “we beat ourselves” table interview pout

Wilder Jr - flex after a one yard gain, one yard loss, tying his shoes

Sewell - sideline dance after trashing his opponents and then cheap shotting them, costing his own team points

Banks - points at the ground after every play as if the refs will start giving him calls

Bede - head butts and high fives after a field goal kick goes 70 yards……and wide

Ottawa - can’t say. They haven’t really done a single thing in game worth celebrating yet.
