Domi has had a steady decline in his career...

and he was drafted how many years ago?

Speculation for awhile jets wanted Domi

Interesting. Chevy is his usual cryptic self but certainly implies there is interest on their side and from Stastny in signing a new deal

Kovalchuk coming back to the NHL to 'win a Stanley Cup'...

He'll sign in Las Vegas - no doubt in my mind.

They didnt even meet with him. I highly doubt after the Shipachev debacle, any Russian signs there soon.

Everyone wants to be paid top dollar and the asks will be high, want they end up settling on is anyone's guess, but for me Trouba does not warrant 8 mil and I wouldn't be giving Laine 10 mil either

Can’t see Laine getting ten. He’s an RFA and his play doesn’t warrant it. He will sign a team friendly deal and surprise people

The problem is other top pick RFAs like Eichel and likely Matthews getting 10+.  On one hand they are centres, on the other hand teams tend to pay more for goals than points and Laine was second in goals... one of only eight 40+ goal scorers last year.

Trouba will get less than 8 but I'll be surprised if Laine comes in any lower than 9.

oh so it's contract reasonings that's causing him to leave

wait you don't suppose he'll join the Broncos organization could he?

Also heading overseas is former top prospect Patrice Cormier. The 28-year-old forward and captain of the AHL’s Manitoba Moose has signed with Barys Astana, per a report from the local Kazakhstan sports news source Shaiba.

so our AHL affiliate is getting a new captain, who will likely get promoted

Maybe Melchiori gets an AHL vet deal.

The purge has started in Ottawa, gutting the team might be the right idea but attendance is going to crater.

Mike Hoffman and Evander Kane on the same team....  this will be fun!

Not so fast

The Hockey Writers have Jets taking Sampo Ranta at #60 (obviously for fun as a lot can change).    So, for fun, he's 6'2, 192lbs, from Finland, playing in the NCAA.  He's a goal scorer who plays hard for the puck and is a good skater.
