The Most Important Game: Wpg @ Regina

Given we have not won the Grey Cup since 1990, going to Regina for the Labor Day Classic  has become the most important game of the Bomber season. The Banjo bowl supplements it but there can be no sweeter victory than beating the Roughies on their home turf in front of their "Laboring" crowd. For me it is everything, regardless of whatever else we do in a season.

I think Regina is a better club than the Alouettes so I am expecting a huge battle. I thought Lapo turtled with the offense after halftime. Downfield passing all but disappeared. So we won on turnovers 2016 style. But this is no way to beat the Rougies, Regina will turn the table on us if we try that ultra conservative play calling again. At least we won't have to deal with Montreal's blitz crazy defense. Kevin Glenn will have something to prove.

I feel like the whole mentality of winning labour day classic being like our grey cup is over. We simply want to win football games. Doesn't matter if it's Sakschewan, Calgary, etc the mindset has to

Fortunate bounces are the reason for the 7-2 record...?

Already said the Bombers are a good team.  Denying that the Bombers have been fortunate in some of their wins this season is silly, like both games vs Montreal, the OT game in Regina, the game in Ottawa.  One thing the Riders haven't seen though is a blowout at home, unlike the Bombers.

That's funny, other than the very close OT game in Regina in week 2, who have the Bombers beaten on the road in the west?

who have riders beaten in the west in general lately...last 3 years let alone the road?

Its debatable? Even if the Riders win their next two, they'd be 5-4 in their first nine and the Bombers are 7-2.  7 is a larger number then 5.

That's true but the records don't always tell the tale as to who's the best team, especially 7 games into the season.  Lets talk after LDC.

Well, we lost in B.C., so 1-1. Meanwhile you guys are 0-2 against the west on the road this year, 0-3 overall. Plus the Riders have not won a road game in a western park in nearly three years.

Last 3 years is irrelevant to this year, unless of course you are willing to go back 26 years and discuss success.

Fool that you are to bring up 26 years when the Riders own the record of  52 years without hoisting the Cup..

Are these rider fans getting dumber or just louder?

By all means enjoy your August Grey Cup run, I know its been awhile.

So, after tonight, will Mosaic become Nosaic?

Bombers are already half way there.  I still remember that night the Bombers won the cup, we ordered pizza from McDonalds  ;)

Now that you have 2 McDonalds in town, the choice will be way more difficult when we win. Or will you just take different bicycles to each?

"Who have the Bombers beaten from the West on the road"

Says the imbecile trying to make the point that the Bombers are comparable to the Riders.

Well ... we've beaten the Riders.

And who have the Riders beaten? Seriously. The Riders have three wins on the road in the last 2 1/2 seasons.

What a dolt.

Being stupid isn't against the rules, technically. But he's pushing it. ;)

I disagree... this IS a Rider and Shmoes thread- he's just here defending his team- can't fault him for that.  Also, we have an ignore function.

He's trolling more than just this thread, actually. That's why I made the suggestion to ban the troll.

Oh, and this isn't the Riders/Eskimos thread.

True enough- though this is a Rider's thread too. Is he trolling outside of rider content threads?

Did you intentionally miss the part where I said "other than the Riders'?

And you say I'm the dolt lol

I've given full credit to the Bombers in other threads that aren't about the Riders, and rightfully so.

It's a terrible point to make. Buzz off.

Nope, it'll still be the nicest stadium in the league.

Will be great in a few weeks when the Riders are probably mathematically eliminated...again.

I fully expect the Riders  to lose quite handily tonight & for their trolls to crawl back into their caves again.

Newest, not nicest.

It's big, for sure.  Everything inside seems kinda cheap, like it was made in Taiwan.  It's not that loud.  Not sure if that's the stadium or the apathetic fanbase, though.  However the fact that it is located in the geographical crotch of Canada means it smells like an old fart all the time and that's a pretty big negative.
