How does our week 2 roster shape up?

In this scenario, I'm operating under the assumption that Mo Leggett isn't going to play for us in our first game.

QB - Nichols, Davis, LeFevour

RB - Harris, Flanders, Normand, Rush, Miller

REC - Adams, Dressler, Denmark, Lankford, Feoli-Gudino, Coates

OL - Bryant, Bond, Goossen, Chungh, Hardrick, Neufeld, Couture

DE - Westerman, Okpalaugo, Jeffcoat, Corney

DT - Nevis, Johnson, Thomas, Ekakitie

LB - Wild, Hurl, Carmichael, Miles, Briggs, Gauthier

DB - Alexander, Randle, Heath, Johnson, Fogg

S - Loffler, Jones

K - Medlock

LS - Rempel

Not sure that at this point in time, that makes total sense for us. Fogg, Medlock, Jeffcoat and Flanders as designated imports sounds great, but I'm not thrilled with Lankford starting. I see him in the lineup somehow though, so I don't think they DI him and start Washington - although I am optimistic that it's a possibility, since O'Shea singled Washington out as a guy who made Stafford expendable yesterday.

If I had it my way ... Washington replaces Lankford, who isn't even on the roster at all and they swap out Couture (2-man reserve) and put Yachison on the active roster. But if Leggett starts, where does Carmichael fit in? I still want him on the field, but you can't have Flanders, Carmichael, Fogg, Jeffcoat and Medlock all playing. Would Fogg sit?

So many questions.

the way I'd see our starting Week 2 roster would be as such

Alexander   Johnson  Loffler  Heath  Randle

     Wild              Hurl          Leggett

Okpalaugo   Johnson    Nevis    Westerman

Bryant    Bond     Goosen   Chungh   Hardrick

Adams                  Nichols     Denmark         JFG

   Dressler        Harris        Washington

I included Leggett because he`s apparently starting to get back at it now (slowly) but in 2 weeks time should be good to go imo

It's comforting to know that the Bombers are practicing 4 times this week and they don't play a game. Meanwhile the Riders have a game and are practicing once in Regina before going to Montreal.

who is 82?

Dressler and Lankford are easy to point out in that vid,  but bombers roster has nothing for a 82

See Baumings tweet some new faces there today.

i know he says there;s new faces,  but no indication as to who. Even looking at the depth chart he (Bauming) tweeted 20 hours ago, there is no #82 among the starters, back ups, PR players and draft class.  I was gonna say the return of terrence edwards...but he's white lol

It's Blaszko, I'm guessing? Or did a junior guy stick around?

Just read your comments in around the league discussion,  and I see he was #89 in BC so needed to change numbers. Gotta be honest other then the name, I don't remember this kid doing anything for the lions

Sorry, worth noting that it's just a guess. Looks tall enough to be him for sure though.

That would worry me, except ... it's nothing new and we don't play for 11 days. Heal up.

Looks like in addition to Blaszko, we added another (unnamed) receiver today as there was a #19 working with the offense. Looks like he's close in height to Blaszko, so 6'3"/6'4"ish.

Nope, not Blaszko:

Somehow our media is at practice watching Blaszko play and still get scooped by Farhan Lalji and Penton who is not even employed.  #19?  Maybe we can ask Herb Zurkowsky in Montreal to identify him.

I mean, I'm not sure how you don't work to get that information. Our media just doesn't care, I guess.

Hard to see him at 6'4". Sort of blends in.

This group of "journalists" has been watching the Bombers for a month now. If something in my fridge is in a different spot, I know. How do you miss a new player on a cut down roster, with a bunch of players resting??

I'm just gonna play devil's advocate:

Who says they missed it? Maybe they just didn't want to post it on Twitter, for whatever reason? Now, I get that it's the "thing" now, to get the scoop on Twitter faster than everyone else, but I wonder if there's a way to not give info away for free, yet still be "current" by using the Tweeters....

I'd be surprised, but I suppose it's possible.

This is why as a fan I come to this forum for Bombers news. Can't rely on mainstream media any longer to get it right or even really get it at all. I can't think of one unique insight or interesting tidbit I picked up from Freep or radio or Sun during TC and after ...... that we didn't already know. It's just a function of the disruption and marginalization of the news media that has occurred in the digital age. They can't compete on news and their opinions are almost worthless.
