Canadian Politics

I didn't think we had a thread for this.

Is Trudeau this out of touch or does he just not care?

The holocaust comparisons have me legit sick to my stomach. There is not one thing in Canada going on right now that compares to the start of the holocaust. No red flags. Not a one. They built the f

Funny how the lawsuit came out now. Just a set up.

Just a set up from his own family? That's some set up.

Led by Doug Ford, Ontario's Progressive Conservatives have secured a majority government, CBC News projects, ending nearly 15 years of Liberal power in the province.

Buoyed by Ford — a one-term Toronto city councillor and businessman — the PCs ran a populist campaign, promising a tax cut for the middle class and corporations and a drastic reduction in the price of hydro and gasoline.

I was referring to his campaign promises

He'll basically wind up like every other politician. Empty promises are their forté.

Just once I want to see a politician who is serious about helping their country and isn't out for a new house (but then again I don't think Premiers get to live in Special houses do they?)

The Ford win was never in doubt.  The people respect strong Conservative leaders.

Pleased but only mildly optimistic . From what I  understand 15 years of left of centre spending and the poisoning of the system that comes with it is nearly impossible to fix over even two terms of dedicated fiscal sanity.

Scrapping the assinine provincial carbon tax and hopefully forming a united front against another one  from Ottawa might be the most profound legacy.

Cut taxes, increase deficit, increase carbon emissions. That's what i expect.

Better than "raise taxes, increase deficit, increase carbon emissions" which is what we have seen from the liberals.

Can't say I'm surprised.

I'm not surprised Trudeau is a groper either!

Its been circulating for months at least. Not surprisingly main stream medium has kept it nicely buried

No shortage of vengeful, panicky tweets from the lunatic left and their media fellow travellers. " I fear for my kids, gay friends, immigrants , conservatives are racist and evil etc" Virtually identical to the anti trump hysteria.

Its like a playbook was sent out " this is how you tweet after we lose an election. Dont skimp on bizarre rhetoric"

Lol!  So it is.

So I totally understand that the Ontario Liberals were rotten to the core and needed to be booted out on their asses and that people don't trust the NDP, but Doug Ford? Seriously?

This is what happens when the Left takes the approach of "We're correct, and we're going to do whatever we want, and you're going to let us... unless you're a racist that hates the environment.  You aren't... are you?"
