Bauming - Leggett not practicing, sounds like Bruce Johnson at SAM.

This leads to the question... why is Burnett on the roster if he can't sub in when our safety gets hurt or our SAM gets hurt.  Especially with a first round pick sitting 3rd on depth chart at WIL.

Use have a bunch of guys that are just jobbers. Burnett is one.

Willy always throws darts in warm up and practise. He is not under serious pressure. Dial up the heat and he melts.

Kyle Knox arrived with a heck of a resume, but I thought Bass looked comfortable at MLB for the first time against the Stamps. Do we really need a change there? On the other hand, nobody's job is safe now.

Sounds like Hurl is back too.

Crap, just crap. Not looking forward to Thursday's game. We are going to get lit up in the secondary, but if ever there was an underdog story to be  written, this is it. Time for Walters to earn his paycheque and get us a usable Canadian O-lineman.

Randle is the biggest loss. Considering we already had a porous secondary before it is even worse now. The dline simply must get through to Rielly. Hall is going to have to have his secondary press cover more .... lol, yeah sorry that was a ridiculous suggestion. He will back them off even further more than likely.

 

Randle hurts the most imo. On the OL, it shows that Walters hasn't done much in 3 years.

Looks pretty grim... only think I can think of is starting Corney - who has actually had success getting to the QB...  

IF Leggett is hurt, I would actually consider Bass-Knox-Wild and then just bring the house for the entire first half

Even if he's not hurt, he helps us more at S than SAM.

Need to pressure Reilly and hope he doesn't connect with Bowman early.

they wont start corney with out another ni to back up both ends. we should but mos wont. 

Kolhert, Chung, Gossen, Harris, Westerman, Shologan, Loffler makes 7. Derek Jones would make 8.

As Wylie said, he's excited about the 'best crop' of import OL he's seen...  we're very close to starting 4 import OL...

If Burnett and Hawkins can't crack the starting lineup with all these injuries, they should not be here.

I'd seriously look at the ol' Teague Sherman defence... where you just send SAM every play and leave Leggett to cover for him.

Anyone think Waggoner has the speed to do that?

Reading some of the suggested starting lineups in this thread is enough to make an old bastard like me give up on this team. It's simply frightening how pathetic our lineup is.

I've been on the three import OL bandwagon since camp. Glad to see it finally happen. 

I'm happy to see a Canadian start at safety. Macho hasn't been terrible, but I'm hoping it stays this way. The rest of the injuries to the secondary suck.

no but you have to have a ni to back up a NI other wise if one goes down mid game you lose a DI and have to shuffle the line up when your allready down bodies. 

Now that Neufeld is 6 gamed with another injury can this team move on without him? It's crazy he's still on the roster.

I sure hope they can start Bryant, Hardrick, Goose, Chungh and Bond, I don't want to see a raw rookie like Couture starting against the likes of Sewell and Willis.

Why don't coaches start rookie o linemen? Because they are afraid. LaBatte was good enough but the only reason he got to start was because Fat Sheridan got hurt. Why do we keep playing subpar Import o linemen when a non import might prove to be his equal or better?

I would think the D this week will look like this. 

DL - Westerman*, Shologan*, Cummings, Hubbard - Corney, Thomas & Cole

LB - Wild, Bass, Leggett - Burnett, Briggs, Hurl, Waggoner 

DB - Roberts, Fogg, Loffler*, Johnson, Frederick - Jones, Morgan

 

I can also see Johnson at SAM, Jones at CB and Leggett at Safety 

Johnson at SAM is intriguing since I think hes more physical and hit harder than Leggett.

They might put extra DB - Hawkins or the new guy Greenwood - (instead of Cole) as DI

but Jones &  Morgan showed that they can hold the fort if needed

I dont think they need to shuffle the LB corp unless, they think Knox is better in there than Burnett
