  1. edm has the same issue right now with OL guys banged up
  2. Was at both sessions today and on the players sideline with the WHSFL. My thoughts as it was the first day of camp I have been to this year. I mostly followed the back 7 on D and skilled guys on O. Sorry about the spelling want to get this done fast lol 1) WR- Jhomo Gordon was the best WR out there today and was flying past dbs. Bastien the Canadian kid I like alot too and had a good day. Adams played really well again today, had 5 or 6 nice grabs in team and skelly. Reaves i am sorry to say it was god awful today. Had a lot of drops, shaq just took a ball away from him. Body language was not great I think camp might be getting to the basketball kid. Also heard from another WHSFL coach he is the last guy in the building ever day, most guys walking to practice and he is just getting to the locker room. 2) DB- Shaq made some great plays out there, will make this roster. Sherman doing a great job at the safety spot getting people lined up right. Morgan has all the skills just has not played much football and you can tell by his eye discipline. Coaches working with him a lot on it. Unamba had a good day as well, nice int in the green zone. Refs were out and called about 5 holding callings on the dbs threw out the practice, which was not too bad. They worked a lot of switch calls early against 3 wide side. Wash and Bruce J doing alot of coaching and helping the young guys. Wash is stepping up as the leader 3) LB- I know a lot of you hate on hurl already but he was the best player on D today in the team sessions. Made 4 or 5 great plays that got the D hyped. Very vocal getting guys lined up and in position. First time seeing him play since last year and the bombers could have picked him up at the right time. Watched a lot of Waggoner at the will and he will be a star in a year or two. Just needs to learn how to play lb and get into the right spots. Great pick up. A lot put in today blitz wise and I think our new DC was maybe was not allowed to do a lot of what he wanted in SASK last year or it could be the Greg Knox affect. 4) Rb- did not watch much but cotton stood out along with Scott who had a 40 yard td run 5) Qb- was not there best day. Portis was not great but heard he was lighting it up the last few days. Marve looked good but had one bad INT. Willy was the best still. Don’t see Yantz making this team with the depth and lack of reps
  3. How many ppl on this board have gone threw 2 a days? Great move resting patty
  4. I got to guest coach at the rifles spring camp this year and let me tell u the Braedy Will could end up on the PR. Best Db out of this Prov in a long time. Very physical and could see him even down in the LB group Do they tally up pass knockdowns in the CJFL differently or something? I looked him up yesterday and he had 70 last year. That seems insane. Must be a mistake, never seen more than 15 in the cjfl or cis. Guessing it was 7

  6. did not smith a LB wear 1 too, a few years back
  7. I cheer for Michael Sam but if he shows up in bad shape and makes the teams it's just to sell tickets. Was awful at the veterans combine 8 weeks ago. He ran the 40 in 5.07 and 5.10 one agent said it was flat out horrible. Hope he has put in some work since then
  8. Not necessarily. He may be taking Bucknor or JFGs spot as a starter. Further to that, he is not taking the spot of an American, he would be allowing us to put a veteran import elsewhere in the lineup. Hurl's job is not the one on the line. He won't play safety in the CFL. Unless your name is Mike O'Shea or Richie Hall you are completely unqualified to make that statement. My opinion is that he won't play safety in the CFL Just watched his tape, quick breakdown Negs Is very tall in his pedal and a touch slower in it. First step out of break is slow Limited tape vs top comp Pos Second step is amazing out of the break Once he gets going, he can fly Will hit u and hard. Like him more at the mac and will, footwork would have to get way better to play saftey
  9. gill will most likely not play this year and newman will
  10. Micheal O'Conner the Penn St. transfer to UBC may be the guy he spent his high school days in the states. Like the kid alot but still 5 years away, how the hell did ubc get him is my biggest question still lol
  11. Just my take Know there has been a lot of talk about this issue since the draft, first off as a person who played in the cis and now coach I love the opportunity these kids are getting in the league but I think we are still 5 to 7 years away from a legit kid who could start in the league. The reason why I think this is the lack of reps/coaching the Canadian kids gets growing up from the High school range especially. It is getting better tho especially in the coaching ranks but most QB don’t get a quality QB coach until they hit the Jr or CIS . Some high schools have great qb coaches but they are far and few between. The biggest reason which is starting pick up steam finally for Canadian kids is the 7 on 7 game. If you don’t know 7-on-7 football is a program that many high schools and middle schools run during the off-season. 7-on-7 is played without pads and receivers are downed by one-hand touch (there are no flags involved). 7-on-7 is also a passing only game - there are no offensive rushing plays and defenders cannot rush the quarterback. These kids are getting so many more reps all year. RR just started last year playing with a traveling team. Been really run in States since 1998. This is such a great tool to develop young qbs and get them a ton of reps.
  12. This is created by the media forsure, as soon as we drafted a guard 2nd overall a bunch of teams most likely called about Patty and Chris. Walters did not pull the trigger. Penton probably got it from his buddy in Sask working with napkins
  13. its too bad mike plus Gbill could not just line up on the field and settle it lol
  14. I think we are a touch, lots of ppls boards have Durant ahead of Demski. Want him at 11 tho
  15. Other than Mayweather's retirement fight, I can't think of any fight that will draw mainstream attention for boxing Canelo who lost to mayweather at 22 is the next big thing. Dont think team money would fight him again. He just boxed this weekend in an amazing 3 round fight, more action in a round than may vs pac. 16. From cowboys camp on Brandon Bridge Of the two quarterbacks that worked on the opening day of camp, I liked what I observed from Jameill Showers over Brandon Bridge clearly from an accuracy standpoint. Both quarterbacks have tremendous arm strength, but I knew from studying their college film that there were snaps where the ball would be all over the place. It appeared that Showers did a better job of not only controlling his passes but his emotions as well. I had some concerns about his touch and it was clear that since his last college game it was something that he had worked on.
  17. From the giants camp today 1) Coughlin "We tried to set the record (for most Canadian players in a mini-camp). I think we got it." 2) CFL center Brett Jones, who signed a three-year contract, was getting an earful from offensive line coach Pat Flaherty about dropping his hands between punches in a blocking sled drill. 3) The first interception of camp went to former Concordia linebacker Takari Johnson. He was able to get his hands on a pass in traffic over the middle. 4) Wide receiver Addison Richards of Regina,Saskatchewan, made a nice toe-tapping grab on the sideline. 5) Wide receiver Lemar Durant of Simon Fraser University had a good diving catch from Hawaii product Taylor Graham, who is the son of former Giants quarterback Kent Graham.
  18. could see it, average at best against the run for a DT
  19. dont get the drop on demski at all. All year top 5 and now a month b4 9.
  20. i want to see him cry more, great player tho
  21. His height would make this tough. Pad level has to be low playing RB especially in the box, very difficult to get the body to do this if you have not played a lot of football
  22. I'll take some heat from some people on here for this but the jets are an average team. 82 games showed that and 3 playoff games
  23. Why would it. He went up against American DBs at TC last season and was doing Did he not get hurt in main camp the first day and only played in rookie camp?
