  1. If you want, look at the interactive virtual stadium on the website. http://bluebombers.io-media.com/web/index.html# You can see Section 209 row 2
  2. Don't know about that the Bomber brass wants Denmark out or not but what I do know is that our receivers sucked last year so if we can either get them to step up their game or get someone better to replace them, I'm fine with that. I love Denmark but I love the Bombers more.
  3. Why are we talking about having the proper players on the proper franchise when The Bombers have ALWAYS been in Winnipeg? Maybe if we are talking about the Baltimore Stallions vs Montreal Allouettes I guess but not the Winnipeg Jets 1.0 vs 2.0. This is not the thread to do so. This is a football page not hockey. Take it where it's appropriate. That being said, the old Jets are NOT the new Jets. 1.0 belongs to the Coyotes and the Thrasher history belongs to Jets 2.0. It'll be interesting what the heritage jerseys will look like. Will they go Thrasher cause I doubt the Coyotes will give up trademark of old Jets logo. But who knows...
  4. Jeepers guys, A guy shows up to say hi or report for his job as correspondent of TSN and you have him replacing the OC? How do you know he wasn't just taking in the festivities at IGF for FIFA and he just went over to say hi. You guys are almost as bad as the BREAKING NEWS story that Michael Sam left TC in Montreal. Who cares. O'Shea isn't looking to change his staff any time soon this close to the season starting when everyone is happy with MB on staff. Give it up.
  5. Just want to say that the Arizona hockey thing threw me too so I looked into it and supposedly one of the owners of the Coyotes was born and raised in or just outside of Regina and when he was in town last summer, someone brought up the connection and he thought it was a cool idea. Word of mouth on forums and really No involvement on the Coyotes side, the game was born. Still made me sick with all the posts on facebook and twitter.
  6. be fair, he also took Muamba over MItchell and I am sure we can find some other instances. Drafting, especially in the CFL is a crap shoot and everyone loves Kyle Walters but how would we feel about him if he took MItchell over Muamba? Which is something he likely would have done. I'll give you Muamba over Mitchell but that's one of the few. Mack did a poor job of drafting. I could add Carl Volny over Matt Walter in 2011, Johhny Aprile over Billy Peach, Chris Smith over Ryan Bomben. be fair, he also took Muamba over MItchell and I am sure we can find some other instances. None of us should be so willing to let Walters off the hook when it comes to our drafting. He may not have had final say, but what was Pencer even doing on the radar at that draft position. Walters was our NI scout. A lot of the duds in our draft were names he put forward for consideration in the respective rounds. Unless, of course, you are of the belief that names like Penser and Etienne were Mack discoveries that had nothing to do with Walters. However, we do know that it was not Mack or Moll that were scouring the CIS for talent. They were in the States the vast majority of the time. He may have put the names forth BUT he didn't say on to WHEN to pick them. Ettienne and Pencer would have been fine had they been 4-5 round picks, sent back to school, yada yada. But Mack picked them first overall making it impossible not to have them on the team right away otherwise you look like a fool.
  7. I live and breath this team. I even went to practice today to see what was up over there for Saturday's game. That being said, my hopes weren't sky high for this team this year and my expectations weren't changed due to the start of the season as I watched this team for what they were. My expectations never waivered. I wanted a better winning record and an all in effort for every game, win or lose. I knew that the offence was going to be rough all season and we would live or die by the performance of the defence. This all happened. Was I happy with every game? Heck no. Different reasons for different games. But I was never disappointed in the effort of this team. This team with help in certain areas will break this cycle. I also know we will get to the GC with this management team and this core but I also know we need time to get there. As long as there are no panic means to get there, we will do it. I'm not living on hope, I'm living in a realistic view of what this team needs to grow and therefore don't get all pissed off when a first year team don't make the playoffs.
  8. It's short sighted and doesn't take into account the starting point, and it's part of the reason why we've had this 25 year drought. Too many people have been fired because the instant results weren't there, or the team took a slight step back. All these knee jerk reactions because people only looked at wins and losses has done more damage to this team than anything. This.. Omg so much this.. If previous regimes hadn't mortgaged the future so often to try and appease the filthy unwashed masses,.maybe the drought would have ended years ago... But because they got so caught up on wins and losses, draft picks a plenty were traded or burned... QBs crushed without getting ample time to acclimate... A rebuild will never take a season or two... Especially after the destruction of our core like we have seen over and over again. It HAS happened before, yes... But that's the exception, not the norm.. Nope. Edmonton did it in one season. Not the exception at all either. Edmonton didn't do it in one season. If you recall before last season, they too blow up their team, got a rookie QB and sucked monkey bones last year. ALL they did last year was get rid of their coach but didn't touch the team itself. Therefore, it didn't take them one year to turn around, it took them two years. First year sucked and 2nd last place. During off season, they filled the holes and this year turn around. Let's give the Bombers at least 2 years as well before we call for heads. We had a lot of Canadian depth go down in the beginning of our season. Our problem isn't coaching here, it's OL, and defence. Let's see what Walters does in the off season to fix this and see how next year goes then.
  9. Because I believe it was the President or CEO that said that they would be done in time unlike Winnipeg who couldn't. That they "learned" from the mistakes in Manitoba and they would be different. On time and on budget. I remember the press conference clearly because I knew right then and there before they even bulldozed that they were going to be screwed by mouthing off in the media. Man, I wish I could find video proof of this press conference. I keep looking but to no avail.
  10. I've had the chips, pretty addicting. Balsamic Vinegar and Black Pepper. They also have Calgary BBQ, Edmonton Sour Cream and Cheddar and unfortunately, Saskatchewan Dill Pickle. Have tried each other then Saskabush's. They aren't bad. Couldn't stand spending my money having anything Green and white in my house. Have also seen the peanuts, cups and chocolate bar, but nothing else. Winkler has a special packaged "Official Hot Dog of the Blue Bombers" pack of weiners also at Co-op that I've seen.
  11. Maher didn't ask to leave.A bit different. He was trying to make the team so missing the second pre season would have put him at a disadvantage.Turner is on the team. Seems Maher should have asked to leave. Was released a few days later so now he missed the birth of his kid AND doesn't have anything to show for it. Seemed that backfired
  12. Question: If a player has lived in Canada and played in Canada full time as an import. Say he decides to become a Canadian citizen, would his status change to a Non-import or I guess now it's called a National player?
  13. I'm surprised no one has mentioned Woods. Other then that one great catch, the guy was useless. Could barely return balls. kept missing assignments. And no offence but way too short to be in that position as receiver as the defenders tower over him. The boy needs to go.
  14. Here is the area's bike route. http://www.winnipeg.ca/PublicWorks/MajorProjects/ActiveTransportation/maps_images/2013-Cycling-Map-South.pdf
  15. Darrin Bauming ‏@DarrinBauming 7m Brett Carter, in street clothes and sneakers, working a little bit on-field with the #Bombers receivers. According to his agent, Carter was at IGF to sign contract with Bombers
