  1. They were speaking about this a lot on the big show this morning. To make the play offs, all we need is to stay ahead of BC, Sask, and one of Montreal and/or Ottawa. Which seems possible, even with Willy out for a couple months.
  2. I think a few people expected him to get picked on more in a Richie Hall defence as opposed to last year's etch-a-sketch D.
  3. Leggett was a Cornerback before he came here... I mean why did we think Randle would be any good at SAM - anyway, doesn't matter - I'm just saying I'd take a Cdn safety if it meant we had two lockdown cornerbacks. Because we'd rather have a shut down SAM (dime back) than a shut down field corner that sees less action. As much as I'd like to see Bucknor upgraded, our defence seems to be coming along rather nicely. They have been pretty solid the past few games and Simmons will, at worst, seem to upgrade our depth. If he is as awesome as he makes himself out to be, he could be a serious weapon. I still see the real weak link of our defence as our DL. Westerman can't do it all himself and Bilikudi and Mulumba seem like they're sticking around the NFL a for another season.
  4. I think anyone decent will re-up with their teams or head to a place with a better starting opportunity.
  5. I thought after a coffee it would be a No. 1Coffee is known to help with the digestion process. I always take a No. 2 after my coffee.
  6. I was really noticing that yesterday. People have mentioned it before but I never really paid attention to it, but it seemed really obvious to me whenever the offense moved in front of my seats.
  7. I forgot last week, but I'll go with Marve. Everything now rides on his shoulders.
  8. Wasn't that when he was already an OC? He's just a QB coach now, so he should be ready to listen.
  9. Chap is both the most likely and the best case scenario, I think. The Riders' offence certainly hasn't been the problem this year, despite their massive injury issues at QB.
  10. Adams on the 6 game? Commmmmmee oooonnnnnn.....
  11. Crap. Hope it is not so. We just do not need any more bad news. He took a couple big shots at the end of the game off of Marve passes.
  12. Doesn't everyone?
  13. I doubt he signs anywhere until he's close to playing. In the meantime he will rehab and have his agent scouring the NFL for additional opportunities.
  14. Bob Irving suggested today that it looks like we'll be going with 4 imp at receiver this week. Said both Moore and Veltung were practicing with the ones.
  15. Bombers don't practice tomorrow, then they practice on Wednesday so we will have a better picture then. They practice today and take tomorrow off?
  16. Shakir Bell
  17. I'm not sure how much of a shot we have at a consistent pass rush. IIRC, the Lions have only given up 3 sacks this year and Lulay has the best outlet in the league in Andrew Harris. I think we have to focus on containing Lulay and keeping a man on Harris at all times. Maybe we can jump in front of one of his dump off passes.
  18. I'm also starting to worry about the health of Willy. I was excited to start this season because we'd be starting fresh after he got so abused last season, but he's already been beaten up pretty thoroughly. As much as I love willy and think he's been improving in his time here, I feel that once a player starts to getting injured on a regular basis it doesn't seem to stop. And even though he's a tough SOB and plays through them, how long can that last?
  19. Justin Dunk is the best thing that has ever happened to cfl.ca
  20. I feel like I'm going to get burned this week, but Paris Cotton.
  21. Gonna attempt Andrew Harris again.
  22. I will say this for Brohm (and I will make it short because I k ow most of you are out for blood), he does seem to get the playbook very well. Aside from those God awful WR screens and short passes MB was forcing on him for his first few series, he always seemed to go for an open receiver who had a chance for the ball. He went for his first read, yes, but the guy always seemed to be the right read. The problem of course, was Brohm under throwing almost every time. Which was his issue in the pre season too. In my eyes though, that seems like a common problem for the back up QB to have. His biggest issue seems to be timing, which will come with reps/
  23. No way to assess one way or the other at this point. He was obviously assessed at the half and it was deemed he could - at least - stand on his own. That said, he was standing in the dark tunnel and not coming out into the lights. That could be because the lights bothered him, or because he didn't want to be out among the crowd after he had been ruled out. Bottom line is neither the team or Willy himself has a timeline on this. If it is a concussion of any seriousness you just have to wait it out. I hope he's back soon though, you don't wish lingering concussion symptoms on anyone.
