  1. Zing! Not what he was saying though. He (seemingly) wanted the league to cover play off expenses. That's not going to happen.
  2. I don't see anyway around that.
  3. Wouldn't the reverse be true also? Players could sign contracts with the CFL and the AAF would have sue to get the contract rescinded?
  4. You have to think that Funston would have had a huge role in the WING T that they ran.
  5. Oh, obviously. That would cut down on revenue. More teams, games, rounds, etc.
  6. If anything, I'd reverse that.
  7. I think that's because they're not as good.
  8. I'm going to need a run down of some of the older guys, because I'm immediately thinking Edwards for third slot and don't know much of anything about most of the WRs - other than knowing the names of the big guys and assuming they were the best.
  9. Doesn't make much sense to me. Signing a contract with a different league in a different country. What's stopping them?
  10. Definitely not. There was bust talk because he took some time to get in the starting line up.
  11. Holy Hannah. He did have a reason for rushing. https://3downnation.com/2019/04/10/the-nfl-wants-in-on-the-international-player-action-and-that-probably-isnt-good-for-cfl-2-0/
  12. The constant rule changes have happened every year. That's not on Ambrosie unless you expected him to stop it (for the record, it also annoys me). I don't agree with the "more important things" argument. These things have been problems forever and he's simply attempting a new way of fixing them. It's most likely why he got the job in the first place. The revenue streams. Increased audiences. Increased sponsorship opportunities. I believe 2.0 has been rushed. My guess is that Ambrosie needs things in the new CBA and didn't want to wait until next time around.
  13. Rider fans never change. Although, to be fair, Szarka was around for over 10 years so had the "better career". As opposeed to the extremelt stellar short period that was Mike Sellars.
  14. I was young and Roberts was my favourite player. I remember creating arguments in my head for why he was better than Joffrey Reynolds.
  15. I like the vision - agree that it's terribly rushed. All of these drafts could easily have been announced...for next season. At least pretended that teams can look at the players before drafting them.
  16. Looking back, he had a lot more receptions that I had given him credit for. My bad - I just remember myself thinking "why doesn't he get more receptions?", but my past self was clearly talking out of his ass.
  17. I think I disagree with this. He was ever used in the passing game, so it's hard to say, but I don't really remember him forcing the issue by being spectacular during limited opportunities.
  18. Even if you include his BC numbers, he doesn't stack up to Roberts or Lewis.
  19. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I don;t have a son, but I'd think long and hard about signing that permission form.
  20. Yes, we wouldn't have been able to select Harris under this system.
  21. Mo was before I started really paying attention, but weren't those years just a disaster along the OL?
  22. Nice bounce back from week 4, but still below the yearly average.
  23. Although Walters did mention that there were a few teams holding money for QBs that were ultimately disappointed and will also have funds to spend.
  24. Underrated post. Laughed out loud.
