  1. First time I have ever agreed with Noeller; ^^ this multiple times
  2. This is an interesting article I found on the cfl.ca forums, lapolice talks about our previous GM who did not believe in signing other teams FA's or cuts. It discusses how vets vs rookies look and why sometimes you need vets. Is a very good article and what I like most about it is I feel Walters understands that you need a mixture of both. http://www.tsn.ca/talent/lapolice-how-experience-can-help-down-the-stretch-1.97077
  3. It was definitely during last game i don't think we needed to even discuss when you take a knee from lewis and lie flat for ten minutes they probably won't play him rest of year to avoid law suits and keep him healthy
  4. Everyone has wanted his release all year and now we ask why he's released? It is most likely as they said making room for another player and if we released him four weeks ago we still have to pay his contract anyways
  5. Agreed the second round was already flat this year next year there is more potential. Extra pick in that years draft is much better
  6. The talk has been Durant will be back for awhile I'm sure ready or not they'll throw Durant in to the wolves and cross their fingers that his injury is not re-agrivated
  7. Did the guy we traded suber for ever even make it to Canada? We seem to have terrible luck with our trades lol
  8. We should have waited a couple days and released Grigsby after the Trade Deadline too.... someone who quits on a team shouldn't be able to even consider joining another team.
  9. I have a feeling we win this week as well, because I don't want to lose my bet with my coworker! lol
  10. My real only problem with the release is we get nothing out of it and we still have to pay him since it was after the period of time where we owe the full contract. I believe we could have traded Grigsby for at least a fourth round pick with some team. It looks like Hamilton is definitely interested in him and he will do well there with the better offensive line. They also have a chance at the Grey Cup this year considering they are leading the East right now. Even a low draft pick is better than nothing that is my only disappointment with the release of a player who has potential and we have to admit Grigsby still is leading the league in a lot of factors. Yes he's an import, but he is still worth at least a fourth round pick or the ability to trade up. Grigsby and one of our fourth's for someone's third or something along those lines.
  11. Sounds like they are performing live tryouts for next year which I agree with.
  12. Many don't post on the boards as well many responses will call them stupid, or idiots, or not real football fans, ect. Eventually you lose participation. Although a lot has to do with how the team is playing and the performance of the coaches.
  13. I'm cheering for Saskatchewan today; but it's at Edmonton and they always seem to beat the riders at home. I'll be at the game behind the Saskatchewan Bench so hopefully its a good game even with the expected rain. It's supposed to be pouring for this game so will make for interesting football; the question will be who has the better running team I'm sure. Reilly is quick on his feet so he adds that element but Saskatchewan has their trio of RB's that seem to destroy defences.
  14. I too was surprised but he did get that one good one in that one game that wasn't called back; I guess he would have even more yards if not for the one that was called back.
  15. It doesn't say good just that it was the best; best implies better than the other stuff that has come out of SNL but doesn't imply good
  16. I kind of want to make sure Willy gets healed and let Brohm step up for the game this time; I just don't want to see WIlly hurt more than needed against an Eastern team whom we do not NEED to beat; yes it would be nice but if we won our Western games we wouldn't need to worry about Hamilton. I also believe Brohm has a chance of beating Hamilton; if he had a chance of beating any team it would be an Eastern team. I would rather have willy for the BC game then have willy hurt in this game and lose the series to BC in the next game.
  17. Ottawa had this game, saskatchewan had some help from the refs but still Ottawa needed one stop and that was on the convert. Get the convert stop and they win.
  18. Agreed with Mfranc I have seen a noticeable improvement in the line over the games
  19. Not to mention the bad penalties BC was taking but man Toronto was on fire they look scary. The way the handled Calgary last week and then BC this week.
  20. I didn't talk about starting; I talked about we aren't recruiting canadian players who need development in the areas of our need. Yes we did do awesome in the draft; yes we did go out in FA and sign some big names. But shouldn't we also be in the building and expanding the team for next year and the year after? Doesn't an OL take the longest to train and to build up the ability to learn to play together. Shouldn't we not be bringing in players not in the draft; so that if some are bunk we will know earlier now while we have the room to do so. I am talking about getting some projects on the practice roster that could use some build up; and I do know we recruited people a week or two ago and that is why I mentioned that those guys were more because of injurie we had on our team but aren't meant to be kept around or developed further. In reality I'm dissappointed we gave up Suber; for a guy who can't seem to get across the border. Exspecially with how well Suber has been playing now that he has been allowed to hit the field. But thats my personal opinion; I'm not saying that the job being done on what they did for this years team is poor as I believe they did good. We've said multiple times though it'll take some continous building to rebuild this team and Walters seemed to be doing it at first but it seems now not as much lately.
  21. Im surprised Glenn didn't get called for intentional grounding on that play; it looked like he threw it straight at the ground and that it didn't even pass the line of scrimage.
  22. I just do not understand why we are not seeing changes or recruiting in the areas we need strong improvements in. I know many say it is hard to change or add to your roster at this time there are not many players worth while but yet if you follow the other teams. They always seem to be adding someone that was un recruited to the practice teams with possible potential in those needed areas. An example is the riders just signing an OL http://www.cfl.ca/article/cis-preview-mcgill-redmen Meanwhile we are signing overdue vets that aren't in the necessarily most needed spots to our PR whilst we are not developing those types of guys it seems we badly need.
  23. JBR you are assuming I'm not American, and assuming I have multiple TSN channel accessibility.
  24. That's two games of ours that got interrupted cause of.scheudling
