Good on Burmi. Very cool of him to show up early. Morrissey has been good. He's a solid d man. Armia didn't make buffalo cuz they were tanking. It's not that he couldn't make the team.

last week we had 25 runs and 25 passes. Montreal was similar last night. 35 passes probably means you are down big.

Ehlers,Lemieux,Petan,Morrissey,Copp will probably all be on the roster this year one way or another. If the Kids look like they are ready, you can always trade some guys to make room for them. Do we need both thorburn and peluso? Lemieux could probably take their spot. Ladd,Little,Stafford Ehlers,Scheif,Wheeler Perreault,Lowry,Petan Lemieux,Copp,Burmistrov. Some might say thats too many rookies but...if the rookies are ready, you play them.

Brohm got no reps during the week, got the least amount of in game reps in the pre-season.. Yup, give him the starters reps and i'm sure he will be much better too. I really don't think Brohm was the biggest issue tho... The D has given up almost 1000 yards in 2 games and we talking bout back up qbs?

Ideally you pass the ball as much as you run it, it's called a balanced attack, it keeps D's honest.. week 1, 25 pass, 25 run... we win. Week 2.. 13 runs, 30 plus passes we lose. People refer to the CFL as a passing league, and it might be but at the same time, if you don't even try to run the ball, you are done done done. MB'S play calling week 1 was awesome, week 2 it was complete and utter crap.

I don't think i agree that Brohm doesn't have the arm strength, I mean, i think he does, just based on his college stats and all that stuff there, the guy obviously has an arm but... and time to get flamed a bit, it seemed like every other or even every play he had a guy in his face, yeah he threw some balls in the dirt, for sure... he definitely did but.. to say the guy lacks the arm strength, I don't think that's true at all, i guess he lacks it when he's throwing off one foot cuz the defender is pretty much on his other one but the guy definitely has an arm. I think it's silly to keep going on about Brohm tho Brohm vs Marve really... It's silly. It's kind of pointless even. I'll be the first to admit that I like marve too and would have liked to see him get some reps last game, it was a blowout, why not really... but i'm not sure he's ready to be the starter just yet. Give Brohm the reps this week in practice and see what he can do first i'd say. If he struggles, ok marve time but... gotta keep in mind that Brohm got like no reps during the week.

Hmm.. Danny Mac... He sucks cuz he likes Brohm, but he also found Marve did he not? Heads are gonna explode i think one day.

I'm not sure Marve playing would make a difference honestly, it all depends on what the OC calls and if the OC doesn't want to play to our strengths, then it doesn't matter if its willy brohm or marve out there.

Unamba wasn't very good, i don't think he makes a difference at all. I think watching the other teams around the league, the biggest difference I have seen is our guys are playing 5 to 10 yards off the receivers, really not getting any pressure at all from our dline either... like none. But i don't see other teams playing 5 or 10 yards off the receivers so it tells me that it's the scheme that needs to change. Maybe the game has changed a bit and hall hasn't changed with it?

Williams just took one to the house but got called back for a hold. Seems to have lost a bit of that speed he had. I will add this tho, after watching the other teams play, I think the O's are pretty similar across the league, Very very similar but the D's are definitely not. Maybe it's talent or maybe it's the scheme but our D seems to be playing a little too soft out there, i think it's scheme more than talent tho. Not sure Hall is putting our D guys in the best position to succeed out there. None of the other teams seem to be play 5 or 10 yards off the receivers like we do.

Honestly, anyone watch that game last night? Montreal... pretty much 50/50 in terms of running and passing. It helped the rookie QB out big time. He looked good but he got a lot of help from his receivers and lots of help from his OC who didn't try to make him do too much. I feel Brohm or Marve, regardless of who it is, if they aren't gonna be helped out by their OC , well they are doomed really. Doesn't matter who plays if the game plan is awful and the game plan when Brohm came in, it was awful. Too much pass pass pass, not enough run. Would i have been pissed if they tried to run the ball more? Nope, i would have been happy cuz that's what you do to try to control the blitz, you run the ball a bit, cotton or marshall gets by that first wave and they have daylight in front of them.. I never understood why we kept trying to pass the ball so much, it wasn't working at all, and no it's not just because of Brohm, it's because Hamilton kept sending the blitz cuz they knew we weren't gonna even both trying to run the ball. The game plan even when Willy was in was awful, That ticat player might have injured willy but you got to give an assist to MB because he was the guy that kept calling plays to make willy sit in the pocket like a sitting duck. No run game help at all, we had what/ 13 runs i think for 69 yards? That's not a terrible average there actually, but it should of have been more like 25 runs instead, Running not only helps to control the blitz, it also allows the oline to engage, instead of moving backwards or standing still they get to move forward and take some people out. I don't think they will make their decision based on if ehlers needs to go to the Q or not, They will make their decision on which guys are ready... maybe both Ehlers and Petan make the big club, maybe one does, maybe neither do... We will have to see but... I hope they aren't basing that decision on If Ehlers isn't on the JETs he needs to be in junior or europe. That's not good. I think one will make the team and it will be the one who is ready, regardless of his age or his junior eligibility or not. If Petan is better than Ehlers then he makes it and Ehlers goes to Europe or back to the Q. Some of my friends have went and have made a couple interesting comments, one being Petan definitely is the most NHL ready guy on the ice, They then say It's not Ehlers who is next, It's Brendan Lemieux, They say Ehlers has struggled a bit, probably hasn't skated in a while but... They all definitely say that Petan and Lemieux are the guys who are standing out big time. One even said, despite his size, Petan is a man amongst boys. I wouldn't be surprised if Ehlers is sent back to the Q or Europe for another year, Jets won't rush him if he's not ready. He's a good prospect but... Petan might be better. Ehlers gets all the hype but a few people have mentioned that he's put on some weight this off-season, he's apparently 14 pounds heavier than last year... It seems to be hurting his game on the ice a bit... It's like Morrissey last year, Lots of people thought he'd make it, he came in looking huge, looked pumped really but... put on the weight the wrong way and it messed with his game, From all accounts Morrissey has looked very good because he's dropped that weight he put on or did it a better pace this past season. We will see with Ehlers but it wouldn't surprise me if he's not on the Jets and Petan and Lemieux both are.

It was 17-7 really when Brohm was put in, It's the CFL... stick to your game plan but unfortunately that game plan seemed to include no running game cuz when willy was in, we weren't running it either. No running game = You are done really. Especially when your backup who got like no reps during the week is in the game, help him out, put him in a position to be a success out there instead of having him stand back there throwing pass after pass after pass after pass.

Last year we were what 5-1 6-1 at one point and finished 7-11. When willy comes back. Probably miss 1 game we are 2-1 or 1-2 and people say it's next year country? Seriously? Slight over reactions. Willy might be out 1 or 2 games. Durant and Reilly are out the season really. Perspective people

MB goes way b4 O'shea. The play calling was the issue with brohm last night. It really was. No run game at all. MB rthrew Brohm out in the deep end without a life jacket really. New QB comes in and all you see is pass pass pass pass pass. Should have been more of a hell 50 50 mix even of run and pass but was more like 99 to 1 percent. The O play calling did Brohm no favours at all. He wasn't good but at the same time his OC was just awful. Willy got the head shot but imo MB and Hall had concusions b4 the game started

I don't think anyone is a Marve hater. I just think some people don't think he's ready yet. Yeah he should have got some reps but he didn't. So whatever really. The issue I see with some is Marve can do no wrong. Even when he messes up there's an excuse. He deserves more reps but this love ppl always have for the backups is getting ridiculous. Let him develop properly. Learn to make more than 1 read b4 he takes off cuz that won't won games either. He has potential for sure but he's not some saviour
