First priority is to extend Mike O'Shea...Everything else should fall into place after that.... The Argos' might be interested in talking to Mike O if they clean house...That is not a foregone conclusion at this point... Nichols has also a small question mark beside his name...IF we aren't prepared to pay Matt what he is asking, other avenues have to be explored, and two of those you would think would be to go after Durant or Franklin..Lot's on Walters plate right now not to mention re-signing our fa's, also scouring who could be available on other clubs fa list, and going over possible draft pics...He's going to be a busy boy..

Let's see.....Franklin knocked Nichols out of the no 2 spot on the Grey Cup winning club in Edm.....I'd say there's something there alright...Jones is no fool as far as talent is concerned ( a **** in other respects however) and he was Franklin's hc.. hence Corky's big interest in obtaining him....Yup I'd say there's something there alright and we'd be foolish not to kick the tires on a trade.

We have to watch those greasy bastages....They are scraping bottom so you just know that any player that moves, is going to be on their radar...I think this kid Bennett is going to be good for them....not as good as Franklin would be for us however ...Mayo looked promising and hate to see him go.

Nichols says regarding the rumour about fa....'I am'...with a question mark.....orrrrr should it have been 'I am',period....Guess we'll find out soon..

First of all....Hall is still with us (but hopefully not for 17') secondly if that's all we can attract is Chamblin we may as well remain status quo at dc...Might as well bring back etch-a-sketch (choke, cough,cough)...... as the riders left overs aren't really thrilling me...There has to be better out there.

Well here's some more 'bull' out of riderland...Not only are they going to go after and sign Franklin...they're also signing Duron Carter...No mention of re-signing Durant though...??? Who says their priorities are full of the stuff they like to spread on lawns..lol

Well Fred.....it's looking more and more likely that Durant won't be in rider green next year, if you believe some of the reporting....So Durant is going to sign somewhere???Too early though as he could still re-up in Regina....Wouldn't that just put the icing on the cake though....Durant signing here and throwing to Dressler and Smith in their new digs/ Labour Day and then back at the Banjo...heh heh..

I believe it has something to do with shared washrooms at the new digs in Regina...They're getting tired of people using the outdoor facilities and believe it will relieve a lot of those long line-ups....Sure adds up to me..

I've seen opposition defenders try to separate the head from the body of some of our receivers and it was not considered a penalty...Just a bull$hit call....This game is played rough (that was a clean hit by Loffler) AND if you can't take the heat ...get the hell out of the kitchen... I swear this game is turning into one for the mamby pamby's...O'Shea is still shaking his head on that one as I am about the stupid last call by him at the end going for the field goal....Horsefeathers.

Besides the bone head call at the end...it was plain to me that we need a middle linebacker along the lines of Solo....He's a free agent ....give him a call (off season of course)...Bighill is another one but I don't see him ever leaving B.C. but he's the type we need.....Can we find one??? They don't grow on trees but if our scouting is worth anything ,they should be able to come up with something that's better than what we're running...Too easy to run on this team, and if they aren't butchering our secondary they just pop one up the middle at will...That has to end.

Certainly Mike O's decision will come under scrutiny....very small chance that we make that field goal,...We had a better chance of making 4 yards....and if we didn't there has to be some serious questions asked..I think we'll re-up our head coach next year....BUT that 25 year drought and counting is really starting to grate on me and it's looking like it could turn into quite a few more....what a downer.

A few pieces missing on this team....and it became very evident which they are.....nice try Bombers....playoff with one and done....won't get it done...Next year.

I'm sure the Esks. are chomping at the bit to deal with Jones...After he walked out on them, I'm sure Hervey would like to plant a number nine shoe up Corkie's arse, never mind deal him a quality quarterback...Anywhere but Regina is most likely the chant in the backrooms of the schmoes...The only way that the Riders have a glimmer of a chance of obtaining Franklin's services would be through free agency...I don't think he makes it there, and will most likely be dealt and signed by another club long before that....

If you can't catch a pass...you'll be out on your ass....Seems like what has happened here with Kohlert....I really like(d) the guy but the last few games he's come up short of what's being expected..Guidino surprizes the heck out of me sometimes and delivers...If he could be more consistent I think he claims the job....Rory better start looking for his game that's gone missing and find it.

Geez has it really been that long (maybe I'm caught in a time warp lol)....Seems like yesterday watching House making those solid grabs...Dr. Nielsen wasn't too shabby either...Two former greats that knew how to get it done.

How do you not have interest in Franklin??....As well as talented and according to a few reports is of solid character , we would be foolish not to have a look...His contract status right now is a little confusing...Some say he is a fa at years end...some say he's still under contract, which for us, would be ideal if we wanted to pry him out of Edm. in a trade....Might cost us deep and could involve our number 1 pic...Are we prepared to go down that road???I'm sure it's crossed Walter's mind but with the season far from done, I don't think it's a current priority...IF we are bounced out of the playoffs by B.C....a one and done.. and Nichols fails to impress, I think the pursuit of Franklin get's ramped up...Taming the lions is no 1 right now.

Sometimes it's hard get through that melon...Blinded by all of their self importance as well....Durant doesn't sound all that positive about remaining in Riderland and says things have come to a standstill....He mentioned Chick, Dressler and Getzlaff at the end of his discussion, about his status for next year...Is Durant getting the same feeling as all of those players did when Jonesie let them go....hmmmm...Stay tuned...Could be all contract posturing but where there's smoke.........

Looks like the 1st. overall is ours.....our second will be decided tonight with the result of the BC game.... It'll be one position in the draft either way....BUT any way you look at it we are gold in the 17' draft....Walters and company have got us in a position to get some quality canucks.
