Yes, we can. Calgary hasn't played this team yet. And, if we figure out how to beat them, other teams will too. Either way a winning streak is coming to an end this Saturday. Looking forward to this game the most.

Calgary really is Toronto west sometimes. I like the city but there seems to be a lot of people trying to be more than they are rather than just embracing what they are.
That does sound like T.O. I was vacationing out Calgary way a few weeks back and noticed a lot of similarities to Toronto in service, attitude and...traffic.

Calgary sports fans are horrible people. To a lot of them the CFL isn't good enough, more NFL interest from the general population than CFL, but Noeller is right, a lot of the delta bravos in this town would rather go watch a stupid UFC event than the CFL. This town has a lot of the most annoying sports fans going.
Ahh, so Toronto lite.

I would like to think O'Shea would not put up with this kind of nonsense. Klunk some heads together.
Quite the circus in Montreal.

I've been to plenty of games, including this Banjo Bowl, and yes I've definitely seen some stupidity involving drunks. In fact, I've even seen a kid get beer spilled on him! It was as accidental as it was funny... very. As for the story, there were guys 'getting right in her face' and telling her 'go back where you come from' while her son is crying, then a construction worker refuses to let her cross the road and tells her to 'suck a ****' and trips her with a rope? Then another stranger grabs her child and hugs him for '5 minutes'. All I'm saying is I read the between the lines and something for sure happened to ruin their day. But come on, you said it yourself, usually nothing happens really. Yet on this day, a host of strangers in several separate incidents pick on a lone woman and a little boy? And there was no security? And everyone around them stood on and let it happen. Yes, I guess even I have more faith in our fans and stadium workers than that.
The part that gets me is the two girls pouring beer over a little kid's head and the mother proceeds to question them "is it a rider's shirt?" I think this is where anyone would lose their cool and go ape****. Lose it...giant uppercut...atomic wedgie. Bam. Either way I know drunken, riled up fans can be dicks, but I would hope they would draw the line before assaulting a child.
I' mean come on man.

I have to be honest, I think it's you who is exaggerating. Using "easily over 50%" as your benchmark is a dead giveaway.
Off the top of my head, I can think of three awful throws last game alone without even looking at the game again. The catch by Dressler, the catch by JFG and a throw Nichols skipped into the dirt on a screen play on 2nd down. Those were all bad throws.
It's okay to be supportive of Nichols and still be critical of him if it's fair. The criticism I'm giving him is pretty fair.
Calling a catch an "awful" throw is a bit of a stretch. Doesn't leave much room for the type of throws we saw from Brian Brohm. Just sayin
If it's catchable by the intended target, then it's in the wheelhouse of a decent throw.

Lets give Glenn the benefit of the doubt...He may be at a slumber party with his former O'line and had one "lie on him"

Glenn tweet most likely has more to do with the 3 ring circus going on in Montreal right now.
I'm sure he'll say someone hacked his twitter account again

That would be Pops last move I'd imagine. MTL isn't out of a play off spot and if they give up a starting quality QB to a division rival...I can't imagine that ending well for any GM.
Ya, don't think it would be a trade. More likely a release or offseason.

Gotta wonder if Kevin Glenn heads to TO.

Haters gonna hate. Some are just not happy no matter how well the team or league does.

It's nice to see them sitting the guys who are not performing this year. Seems that was one thing that didn't happen so much in the past. They were high on Davis and Adams, but both have struggled the last few games. I'm sure both will get more opportunities to play but I hope Sheppard and McDuffie do well in the meantime

If this thread has one valid point in it, its friday cant come soon enough.
How can anyone even enjoy the game with this potential salary cap issue looming?

Zurkowsky says Duron Carter conspicuously absent from practice today. Wonder if there was a meeting with the league/arbitrator re: 1-gm suspension.
He may just be at home resting his mouth for game day.

Its unfortunate the way it went down for Willy this year. I was hoping he would have been pulled at least for a few series to settle down during some of the early games. The difference is that Nichols was able to execut Lapo's offence right away and Willy obviously struggled, perhaps partly due to new offence along with rehab rust etc.
i suspect now that he's seen Nichols execute some of the play he struggled with, (while holding the clipboard) he may see things differently.
If we could get 2014 Willy back, along with Nichols we would be pretty well set at QB. 2014 Willy is in there and we will see him again. Hopefully with this team.

Certainly...but I don't think anyone ever said Foketi had a turnstile game. At the end of the day, I don't think anyone on this board knows enough about OL to say one way or another. Clearly, the guy who wrote that Stock Market piece knows how to review game tape.
Sure, I suppose its the pre-determined category that Foketi was placed in that seems a little harsh. I'll have to re-look at the film

I would say that just because the OL as a whole played well, doesn't necessarily mean Foketi had a good game. Thing is, Foketi himself said it was going to be a rough game for him because he'd only ever played LT, so playing RT meant having to do everything backwards. I think everyone expected it. Woulda been interesting to see how he progressed into Game 2, but good to hear Hardrick is back. He's been solid on that outside....
Sure, I guess it depends how you measure success. I can think of a few former OL that people referred to as turnstiles. I don't think Foketi had that type of game.

Good idea. But it would be good to know if either Davis or Bennett can function well in a game situation. Practice is nice but nowhere as immediate or chaotic as it is during a game.
A little playing time for the backup can be a good thing. Could be having Davis in short yardage or garbage time.

Mtl is a couple losses from being out of it, this is probably as high as his value will ever get again. It depends on if pop thinks glenn is a part of the future in mtl or not. I think that deal only goes through if we some how work in salary cap relief for them. Or any deal they do this year.
That would be interesting too. I like cato, Id certainly take him over our back ups. Though keeping 4 around is allways a good idea.
Yes, i supose nothing is totally out of the question. Wasn't that long ago Edmonton traded away Ray and got very little for him

I wouldn't have minded seeing Mayo on the roster this week for depth. If McDuffie is a scratch, then we only have one backup receiver...Addison Richards (who was questionable to start this week due to injury) Also a bit of a concern given Smith hasn't been healthy this year and Dressler has been getting a little nicked up each game. Hopefully McDuffie plays.
